Pottering Around

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception - Groucho Marx.
Welcome to my Sunday love 💓
Nice big hug to start Sunday with.
Brew and breakfast.
Then it was time to get up!
We had things to do in the garden.
We had excess paperwork which was no use to nobody.
Instead of filling up precious space in our recycle bin, and getting out the shredder.
Out came the burning bin instead.
I had two new composters arrive yesterday.
Had to make room for them.
That means emptying a smaller one, so two can go in its place.
The saw had to come out to remove a branch that was hindering us from doing it!
Much needed coffee time...
Afterwards cleaned the fridge out and sorted out the food that was in it!
After a quick lunch and a chat with my neighbour's son.
I dropped off younger son with Joe to deliver some leaflets, in hope of being elected as the Councillor for Brockhill and Batchley.
I had chat with Mr Fry who is hoping to elected on the Lodge Park ward.
Then we left to check the tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
Then back home to start on the tea.
Chicken Stir Fry.
The Youngest son just arrived home when I dished his and his brother's tea up!
I got back on writing Friday's blog post and the today's blog post on the other blog.
Hubby was sorting out more of his late dad's paperwork.
It read grim reading, without going into too much detail.
He was SKINT!
Surviving on bags of food that my hubby brought over on Monday Night.
It should make interesting reading for the Solicitor when she sees all the transactions highlighted in orange pen where his money had gone to!
It would have been my late Father-in-law's 77th Birthday today :(
Quick look in today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1953:
Frankie Laine - I Believe.
UK No.1 on this day in 1959:
Buddy Holly - It Doesn't Matter Anymore
UK No.1 on this day in 1968:
Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World.
USA No.1 on this day in 1961:
Del Shannon - Runaway
USA No.1 on this day in 1965:
Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders - Game Of Love.
We took part in a General Knowledge quiz on the radio.
Oh dear, gone past the 10.30 bed deadline....
Early night tomorrow night instead!
Hubby is not in a fit state to go back to work just yet :(
It's back on the Wobbly Work Wheel for me 🎡
I have the tape recorder ready for when people ask me if I had a good Easter...
I will be answering by pressing the play button...
To which my answer will be "No".
It will be played lots of times,
Morning and Afternoon.
Anyway it goodnight from me and good night from him....

Back out in Sexy Beast to do more singing!
I had a bit of a look in the newspaper.
George Baker (born Johannes "Hans" Bouwens,  is a Dutch singer and songwriter who, with his band George Baker Selection, scored two international hits in the 1970s, "Paloma Blanca" and "Little Green Bag." He became a solo artist after 1989. "Little Green Bag" was used as the opening soundtrack for the film Reservoir Dogs.
He is 76 years old 🎈
Peter Blake was a Scottish actor. Probably best known as the character Kirk St Moritz in the BBC sitcom Dear John, by John Sullivan, his other high-profile moments came through his playing of a 'Fonz'-type character in Pepsi-Cola commercials which led to a hit record in 1977 "Lipsmakin' Rock 'n' Rollin", Andy Evol the disc-jockey in Agony with Maureen Lipman for LWT and in an episode of Taggart ("Do or Die") as Sgt. Bill Kent. He also had a long association with The Rocky Horror Show playing Frank-N-Furter over a thousand times between 1975 and 1994.
He would have been 72 years old 🎈
He died aged 68 years old in 2018.
Dan Hartman  was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Among songs he wrote and recorded were "Free Ride" with The Edgar Winter Group, and the solo hits "Relight My Fire", "Instant Replay", "I Can Dream About You", "We Are the Young" and "Second Nature". "I Can Dream About You", his most successful song, reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. The James Brown song "Living in America", which Hartman co-wrote and produced, was even more successful, reaching #4 on March 1, 1986. One of the most successful songs he co-wrote was the disco hit “Love Sensation” recorded by Loleatta Holloway, which has been sampled countless times, most controversially by Black Box who was sued by Loleatta Holloway for failing to give her credit when they sampled her voice on “Ride on Time.”
He would have been 70 years old🎈
He died aged 43 in 1994.
I could actually see across the fields of fun..
Another Christmas Party.
I enjoyed the Christmas song they were dancing to with of course doing some actions as well.
Got me joining in as well...
Afterwards, I got into Sexy Beast to guess the year on the way home.
Back home for lunch.
Back out early to get a parking space.
If I get late, all the mothers of pupils of the three near-by school fill it up!
Got talking to my friend after I finished my shift.
Talking about music from the 1960s....
Gets back home.
Writes yesterday's blog post.
Hubby gets a takeaway for all of us.
More Hell's Kitchen season 13.
I start feeling ill about 9pm.
Off to bed with a Lemsip.
As soon as my head hits the pillow...
I'm out like a light.....

Got some other meat to last a couple of months as well.
When we got home....
It's coffee time!
While I got yesterday's blog post wrote.
Hubby went to fetch the table and curtain tie-backs I bought.
It's going to look nice once I have finished doing it up.
Hubby then went to go the wii to do his exercise for an hour.
After tidying up around where the Sewing machine was based, the sewing table that I had done up, wouldn't fit under the dressing table!
Great!
Nether would the stool or the table I bought to day!
Tried to turn the television back on with the remote,
Hubby then moved something, and everything on the table went crash!
It looked like the ornament, hubby had bought for our anniversay had broke...
However it has landed in the basket of pot pourri \o/ instead.
The item that went crash then smash was my late mum's lady ornament which had pen holder combined.
(It used to be in hallway by the home phone before I had it)
After that fun, it was time for tea!
With season 12 of Hell's Kitchen.

Cary Grant  was an English-born American actor, who was one of classic Hollywood's definitive leading men. He is known for his transatlantic accent, debonair demeanor, light-hearted approach to acting, and sense of comic timing.

Then those big big sunglasses had to come out...
Out in Sexy Beast

Singing along with another CD↓
On my merry way...
I looks across the fields of fun↓
When I thought my day could get any worst, I was wrong..........
I was glad I finished on time.
Back to Sexy Beast to do more singing all the way home!
I felt better when I got home!
Now for some light lunch in the garden
Afterwards I tried to find the new sim card for my mobile that came last week....
It wasn't in the pack when I opened it!!!
Great...!
All afternoon it took me to actually get through to order another sim card...
The current sim provider has stopped me sending texts and receiving phone calls....
Great!
Even better than that, one son's phone is locked to the old provider, and can't get a number to unlock his phone to use the new sim with somebody else!
Great!
When hubby came home, I needed to go for a walk to shake off this bad day I am having...
We walked twice up and down the road...
Felt better after that...
Tea time↓
We caught on two more episodes of Season 10 of NYPD Blue.
With some Sleep Tea↓
Really hope this week gets better tomorrow.....
