Pottering Around

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception - Groucho Marx.
Welcome to my Sunday love 💓
Nice big hug to start Sunday with.
Brew and breakfast.
Then it was time to get up!
We had things to do in the garden.
We had excess paperwork which was no use to nobody.
Instead of filling up precious space in our recycle bin, and getting out the shredder.
Out came the burning bin instead.
I had two new composters arrive yesterday.
Had to make room for them.
That means emptying a smaller one, so two can go in its place.
The saw had to come out to remove a branch that was hindering us from doing it!
Much needed coffee time...
Afterwards cleaned the fridge out and sorted out the food that was in it!
After a quick lunch and a chat with my neighbour's son.
I dropped off younger son with Joe to deliver some leaflets, in hope of being elected as the Councillor for Brockhill and Batchley.
I had chat with Mr Fry who is hoping to elected on the Lodge Park ward.
Then we left to check the tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
Then back home to start on the tea.
Chicken Stir Fry.
The Youngest son just arrived home when I dished his and his brother's tea up!
I got back on writing Friday's blog post and the today's blog post on the other blog.
Hubby was sorting out more of his late dad's paperwork.
It read grim reading, without going into too much detail.
He was SKINT!
Surviving on bags of food that my hubby brought over on Monday Night.
It should make interesting reading for the Solicitor when she sees all the transactions highlighted in orange pen where his money had gone to!
It would have been my late Father-in-law's 77th Birthday today :(
Quick look in today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1953:
Frankie Laine - I Believe.
UK No.1 on this day in 1959:
Buddy Holly - It Doesn't Matter Anymore
UK No.1 on this day in 1968:
Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World.
USA No.1 on this day in 1961:
Del Shannon - Runaway
USA No.1 on this day in 1965:
Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders - Game Of Love.
We took part in a General Knowledge quiz on the radio.
Oh dear, gone past the 10.30 bed deadline....
Early night tomorrow night instead!
Hubby is not in a fit state to go back to work just yet :(
It's back on the Wobbly Work Wheel for me 🎡
I have the tape recorder ready for when people ask me if I had a good Easter...
I will be answering by pressing the play button...
To which my answer will be "No".
It will be played lots of times,
Morning and Afternoon.
Anyway it goodnight from me and good night from him....

Sending Some Lighting Bolts!

Fish is the only food that is considered spoiled once it smells like what it is - PJ O'Rourke

 Happy New Year Everyone!
&
It's the Friday Feeling is back 💥
Time for a brew and hug...
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Went outside for some fresh air.
(Opened all the windows upstairs!)
While I was putting up the new calenders, hubby went and got the newspaper.
Hubby had come back quicker than normal and had interesting story to tell.
As he was walking up the road, my younger brother went past in his limo and totally ignored my hubby. Hubby then started to send him lightening bolts at him all the way down the road!
Younger brother turned around his limo and was coming back up the road, hubby starting walking when my younger brother stopped and offered my hubby a lift to the paper shop.
All my hubby had to hear was:
"Money is the root of all evil!"
(That was aimed at me, I say don't throw stones in glass houses to that one!)
Being so anti-depressant, hubby was glad to get out of the car!
After my younger brother ignored me doing my Lollypop job last year, it seems he will be going down the same path of the Prodical brother........😶
Coffee time!
First coffee of 2021!
&
Look in the newspaper.

Last Christmas’ by Wham! is officially number 1 in the UK

The world is as ugly as sin, and almost as delightful

Then out to do my afternoon lollypop job.
The wind is starting to get up...
At least it is still dry!
Still had some cars failing to stop!
I had a sing-a-long on the way back home
with↓
I got home,
Gets changed,
Off to The Happy Place Of Work.
I did my bit.
I felt so tired when I got back.
I had a quick 20 min power nap.
Tea done↓
Then off to do my final job of the day with some great music↓

Hubby got a phone call from my younger brother, who was upset that my dad wasn't going to last the night.
Hubby took out kids round to see him.
*He looked worst than last weekend*
He probably won't last  much longer.
Hubby was glad the time to say goodbye.
My younger brother was trying to move his guilt on to my hubby, for not coming around more often to see  my dad, when he was a lot better.
I got all this when they came back.
I am glad I didn't see my dad, the way he looked!
 My tea supply has arrived↓
I either going to have a Happy Hump Day tomorrow
or
A Sad Hump Day.
