Singing In The Rain!

I want to get as thin as my first husband's promises
- Texas Guinan
Hi all πŸ‘
Since the last update...
Lots have happened...
I only had to write 3 more weeks of blog posts and then I can publish 4 months of blog!
We celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary last month πŸ’•
Then I had the bad news next day.
My lovely friend of 30 years had passed away :'(
I hadn't cried so much since my dad passed away three years ago.
I had the afternoon off from my lollipop job to attend her funeral.
It was a lovely service.
It has rained quite a bit since the funeral.
I put it down to me singing a lot more than usual.
Some of the parents said I should hum more...
There was a Macmilliam Coffee Morning in aid of my friend. I made two cakes for the cake competition.
 Pigs in Mud↓↓
 Rainbows and Unicorns↓↓
(6 colours and flavoured)
I put them into the cake competition.
There were 9 entries altogether.
After judging by the WI.
I won First Prize for Pigs in Mud.
I was in shock in winning, I was expecting the wooden spoon.
I dropped some cake around to my late friend's husband, saying:
"This isn't no ordinary pieces of cake, they are winning pieces of  chocolate cake!"
The Rainbow cake I am donating to the local Care Home :)
Hopefully by next month,
The blog will be truly up-to-date πŸ‘

Surprise Time!

Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-conidence - Robert Frost
Welcome to my Thursday.
I am still coming to terms with the death of my lovely dad..:'(
Thermal knickers get put on...
I had a lovely hug and cup of tea↓
I gave everyone their sloppy πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹
Out of the door I go↓

 Today's tree picture↓
The final picture before I start work↓
I see two car drivers using their mobile phones while driving...
I saw two Tanks...
(Car drivers not clearing their windscreens!)
It was freezing cold!
However, due to my thermals,
I wasn't feeling it \o/
I finished in one piece.
Back home↓
 The Robin is back↓
 Coffee and nibble↓
Hubby and I share some soup....↓
Hubby had got the newspaper earlier.
Patrick Macnee, British actor (The Avengers, Magnum, P.I., Sherlock Holmes),would have been 98 years old 🎈
He died aged 93 in 2017.

James Whitmore, American actor (The Shawshank Redemption, Give 'em Hell Harry), dies of lung cancer aged 87 years old in 2009.
It seems I won't be getting my keys to my dad's house just yet. My dad had borrowed my keys, and surprise surprise, my brothers can't find them, so I am locked out and can't visit my dad's house :'(
Now back to do my afternoon shift of Lollipop🍭
 Low lying sun again↓
It wasn't busy like it will be tomorrow...
I finish in one piece.
Back home.
I get changed...to go to The Happy Place Of Work..
Tea is ready for me when I got back.
A lovely Meat-free meal↓
 We have a surprise visitor.
Someone who I haven't seen for four years!
Our kids were glad to see him again!
I took a reunion picture.
 I said goodbye to him...
I went off to do my final job of the day with some great music↓
We catch up with today's news...
Followed by a rush to a warm bed....
As the Friday Feeling 🎈 is back tomorrow!

Saying Goodbye For The Last Time!

The world is as ugly as sin, and almost as delightful
- Frederick Locker Lampson
Welcome to my Tuesday.

I gave everyone their sloppy πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹
Time to leave the house↓

 Freezing cold!
Should have wore the thermals!
 Today's tree picture↑
I had the normal fun times...
At least I made it alive!
Listening to how people cope with grief on the radio while I was travelling for my coffee and chat!
I got to my B3 space this time↓
 Time for a big treat↓
As Lent starts on the 26th February, so no cake or chocolate for over 40 days!!!!!
I had a good chat!
Said goodbye to my friend.
Now for some serious singing along with:
I had quick look in the newspaper↓

It's getting warmer↗↗↗
I had a quick glass of water.
Then out to do my afternoon lollypop job.
The wind is starting to get up...
At least it is still dry!
Still had some cars failing to stop!
I had a sing-a-long on the way back home
with↓
I got home,
Gets changed,
Off to The Happy Place Of Work.
I did my bit.
I felt so tired when I got back.
I had a quick 20 min power nap.
Tea done↓
Then off to do my final job of the day with some great music↓

Hubby got a phone call from my younger brother, who was upset that my dad wasn't going to last the night.
Hubby took out kids round to see him.
*He looked worst than last weekend*
He probably won't last  much longer.
Hubby was glad the time to say goodbye.
My younger brother was trying to move his guilt on to my hubby, for not coming around more often to see  my dad, when he was a lot better.
I got all this when they came back.
I am glad I didn't see my dad, the way he looked!
 My tea supply has arrived↓
I either going to have a Happy Hump Day tomorrow
or
A Sad Hump Day.
