Getting A New...Nickname!

Once again Larry was laid up.
So making most of the sunshine.
We went out like nomads for some fresh air
Ended up doing 3 walks in the whole day.
Altogether we walked 2.75 miles, and burnt off 1162 calories.
I had lots of black coffee afterwards.
I went to a Leader's meeting.
I am now a Beaver Leader in September!
Now for that unique nickname I have to have....

Burning Chins..

After the fun of waiting 6 hours to be rescued by Green Flag yesterday
(The Auxiliary Belt  had shredded it self)
I was nursing two red burnt arms...and Larry not going anywhere to be repaired just yet!
Walked to town for a nice coffee!
(needed to get out of the house after yesterday!)
Visited Poundland for more supplies..
Walked to my dad's (with kids in toe)
"You got to get rid of Larry, he is turning into another Money Pit!" My dad said.
Then walked back.
Results are:
2.86 miles
burnt off: 1089 Calories
I have put a complaint in to Green Flag about yesterday.
At least I won't be walking the streets alone for the next 4 weeks.
(I will have 2 bodyguards with me)

Promises, Promises!

Day 7 of the #BaraThon #Blogging challenge

My Promises To Myself

1:Smile more, even when those angry car drivers will not stop no matter how many times I wave my Lollipop stick in the air..
2:Try to carry on writing The Sleepily Village Mysteries 6.
3:Try having more hot steamy sex!
(It might help with the writing block!)
4:Sometimes release the tact button from mouth and say it!
5: Hide the word "Mug" from your forehead with your fringe.

(It might light up at night, but no one will see it!)

6:Carry on writing the funny, humorous blogs.
(no matter how much negativity people throw at you!)
7:Use your warm hands a lot more
(Hubby will like that a lot)
8:Get back on the walking,
(the pavements miss you!)
9: Take no shit off former ex-husbands and siblings
10: Catch up on the smiling, as you didn't smile much when you were young!

Wishful Thinking

 Day 6 of #BaraThon

My hubby keeps thinking he is a lot younger than he is.
A prime example of this:
On holiday in Dawlish Warren.
8th June 2012
2 days away from his 41st Birthday.
He got on the swing  in the back garden.
I turn away for five minutes...
Guess what happened???
Oh dear...
He has fallen to the floor,
(Nearly breaking a hip for his trouble)
And the swing  broke.....

Tiny Shoes

Having  tidied up  the house,
I found some tidy shoes that once belonged to my children when they were younger.
It was so nice to see such tidy shoes!
Now I have to be careful not to fall over their shoes now!
Such big feet (They will be wearing my shoes soon!)
James is 12: shoe size 10 (adult size)(and still growing)
Jack is 11   : shoe size 9 (adult size)(and still growing!)
My shoe size is 12 (adult size)
Hubby's shoe size is 9 (adult size)
The mode of transport to deliver their shoes...

Caught red-handed

When I was very young,
I was bit of a...
I was about five years old...
My dad was painting with white paint.
He was painting the garage door.
I kept dipping my finger in the paint,
Then adding a finger mark to the wall of the garage.
After a while, after being watched by my mum.
They found out where I had been putting those paint marks....
I was told off..
However after 39 years, they are still there...

Fragile Lives

Welcome to my Hump Of The Week...
It looks like I will be attending another funeral soon..
My Dad's sister has terminal lung cancer..:(
I hate funerals...:(
I leave puddles of tears under the seat..
My last funeral was only last month, of a dear friend who I only got back in touch when his mum died in March :'(.
At least I know where he is buried,so I when I pay a visit to my mum, I can visit him as well :)
I don't like celebrating Mother's Day, as I may be a mum, but can't celebrate with my own mum :'(
Neither can my hubby, who lost his mum 20 years,

my mum passed away 3 years ago.
