Look Who It Is....It's Saturday!

The weekend is here \o/
I woke up and saw the sun coming up↗↗
 I caught the last hour of "The Sounds of the 60s", while enjoying a cup of tea in my warm bed!
  Once we had breakfast.
Kids were woken up, as they had boxing club to go to. 
My dad failed to tell us on Friday that he had run out of some of his tablets. As his doctors were not open today, we had to phone 111 to get a urgent perscription for this tablets!
 Hubby took kids to boxing and pick up his perscription.
I meanwhile played with the saw!
 Then coffee with nibble
Quick read of a nice magazine that came yesterday↓
Nice items, nice prices!
Hubby and kids come back.
My dad failed to tell my hubby last night and this morning to get his newspaper.
So we will have to go out again!
In the meantime we listened to 
"Pick of the Pops" on Radio 2.
The first year we listened to was: 1986
I knew most of the songs in the chart,
Word for word...
(As I used to listen and collect the 7 inch vinyl singles in that year)

(One of my favourite songs of hers is at the end of this blog)
Jim Diamond would have been 68 years old🎈 
 He sadly died aged 64 in 2015.

Leonard Nimoy:Was an American actor, film director, photographer, author, singer, and songwriter. He was known for playing Spock in the Star Trek franchise, a character he portrayed in television and film from a pilot episode shot in late 1964 to his final film performance in 2013.He would have been 88 years old.
(He died aged 83 years old in 2015) 
James Caan: Is an American actor. After early roles in The Glory Guys (1965),  El Dorado (1967), The Rain People (1969), Brian's Song (1971), Cinderella Liberty (1973), The Gambler (1974), Freebie and the Bean (1974), Rollerball (1975), Funny Lady (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977) and Chapter Two (1979). For his signature role in The Godfather (1972), that of hot-tempered Sonny Corleone, Caan was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and the corresponding Golden Globe.He is 79 years old.
Richard Tandy: Is an English musician, best known as the keyboardist in the rock band Electric Light Orchestra ("ELO"). His palette of keyboards  and piano) was an important ingredient in the group's sound, notably on the albums A New World Record, Out of the Blue, Discovery, and Time. Tandy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 7 April 2017 as a member of Electric Light Orchestra.He is 71 years old.
Reverend Richard Coles: Is an English musician, journalist and Church of England priest. Now vicar of Finedon in Northamptonshire, he was formerly the multi-instrumentalist who partnered Jimmy Somerville in the 1980s band The Communards, which achieved three Top Ten hits, including the Number 1 record and best-selling single of 1986, a dance version of "Don't Leave Me This Way". He also appears frequently on radio and television as well as in newspapers. In March 2011 he became the regular host of BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live programme.He is 57 years old.
Paul Hester:Was an Australian musician and television personality. He was the drummer for the bands Split Enz and Crowded House.He died aged 46 in 2005.
The film, The Bridge On The River Kwai won 7 Oscars (including Best Film, Best Actor for Alec Guinness) in 1958.

Can It Come Back Please?

Some days it’s okay if all you did was breathe.....

Welcome to my cloudy Thursday!
Nice first cuppa of the day..↓
I gave everyone a sloppy 💋 when they all left the house.
It is getting more than busy than normal for lorries, especially parking outside our house.
Hoping our green bins gets emptied....
Carried on listening to "Sounds of the 60's" from last Saturday.
Caught up some reading of some newspapers....

Dino Shafeek:Was a Bangladeshi actor.He is best remembered for playing the part of Chai Wallah Muhammed in the BBC sitcom It Ain't Half Hot Mum as well as the role of Ali Nadim in ITV sitcom Mind Your Language.He would have been 89 years old.
(He died aged 53 in 1983) 
Roger Hodgson,(Charles Roger Pomfret Hodgson):Is an English musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the former co-frontman and founder member of progressive rock band Supertramp. Hodgson composed and sang the majority of the hits such as "Dreamer", "Give a Little Bit", "Breakfast in America", "Take the Long Way Home", "The Logical Song" and "It's Raining Again".He is 69 years old.
Sarah Jane Morris:Is an English singer of pop, jazz, rock and R&B and a songwriter.She has worked with The Communards, Pere Ubu and The Happy End.She is 60 years old.
Harry H. Corbett; Was an English actor and comedian. Corbett is best known for his co-starring role in the popular and long-running BBC Television sitcom Steptoe and Son which was first broadcast from 1962–1965 and 1970–1974.He died aged 57 in 1982.
Ernie Wise:Was an English comedian, best known as one half of the comedy duo Morecambe and Wise, who became a national institution on British television, especially for their Christmas specials.He died aged 73 in 1999.

Before I got into work.
The Yr R class came back from Forest School.They asked what was for pudding?
"Chocolate Brownies."I replied.
When they all lined up, they shouted,"Hello Mrs Dinner Lady" to me, and waved :)
