Escaping To The Sofa

Father's Day
It's going to be a Father's kind of day!
Hubby got his card off our kids...
 
Now for hug and brew↓
 Followed by breakfast.
Everyone gets up, and dressed.
Out of the house↓  
 Off to see my dad with his balloon🎈
 Then off to see my Father- in- Law....
The sun was out, 
Then the clouds came along...
 
 Hubby with his dad↓
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Off to look at the Band Stand↓
 We dropped off hubby's dad off at home.
The clouds were gathering above the house when we got home↓
 Nice light lunch outside↓
 
 Until it started to rain.
Back in the house we go.
My youngest son had baked a Cherry Cake for his science project for school↓
 The cherries were off our cherry tree in the garden.
Snooze time...
Followed by 
then 
Top of the Pops from 1989.
Nice steak tea↓
 It's a good job we can fast forward some songs from 1989.
Some are just crap....
Black Box was forwarded as it's getting on my nerves...
At least Jive Bunny is back at number 1 again↓
We have 1 more week to catch up with tomorrow.

 Sir Ray Davies, CBE is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for the Kinks, which he leads with his younger brother, Dave. He has also acted, directed and produced shows for theatre and television. He is often referred to as "the godfather of Britpop". After the dissolution of the Kinks in 1996, Davies embarked on a solo career.He is 76 years old🎈

Off to a warm bed we go....

Going On A Long Warm Ride...

A Sunday well spent can bring on a week of content.....
After going to bed late this morning...
I caught up on some sleep... 
I heard my name mentioned on our local radio station for this Thursday 🎈🎈
Everyone had breakfast.
Time for nice ride in the sun...😎
 Nipped in for the free newspaper and coffee↓
 
 I saw a ex-postman who I used to work with, in my days working for Royal Mail. Had a good yak for 10 minutes :)
Now onto the Road Trip...
 
 
 
 
 A quick bun to fill the hole...

On the long road back home

 I took off the washing. 
Washing machine went back on again.

Harold Ramis: American actor & director, (Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day) dies at 69 years old in 2014.
 "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" film based on novel by Muriel Spark directed by Ronald Neame, starring Maggie Smith (Academy Award Best Actress) premieres in London in 1969.
The ironing board came out to be played with,uniforms needed ironing...
