Out Comes The Bunting & Balloons!

It works better if you plug it in - Sattinger's Law
Welcome to my Thursday 😌
One day to go until my hubby's Birthday.
He has his Hawaii 5-0 last year!
Sunshine time!
We did all Heardles.
Heardle 60s was:
Time for brew and breakfast.
Dressed.
Out of the sunshine...
Big big sunglasses time.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one before I leave.
I get my newspaper before the Summer coat goes on.
Summer coat goes on.
The road works are still there.
More fun expected.
Puts on my lights.
Now to Rock 'n' Roll...
Soon both sides of the road are blocked.
One parent comes out of the road up from me.
Instead of crossing with me, she drags her child over the road in moving traffic, and does the same on the way back!
(Yet she crosses with me in the afternoon!)
I had to give out a few BOINGs as they got through the traffic lights and no intention of stopping for me!
My younger brother went past me in his van,I just didn't look at him, I kept staring down the road.
Finished in one piece.
The coffee morning is on a bit later↓
I leave Sexy Beast in the car park.
First stop was some bits from the Co-op.
Chats with a former customer for half an hour.Even his wife was looking for it.
I shouts up to her,"Give him an hour to repeat what I said to him!"
Next stop was a visit into the Charity Shop.
Picked up a bargain for £5.
When I got to the Coffee morning, I asked,"If I could buy the whole Chocolate cake?"
The answer was yes for a donation.
Donation paid, put cake into a  Heros plastic box.
I also bought 3 pieces of cake to take back home.
I meanwhile had a coffee with cake :)
My friends arrived who I chat with in the afternoon.
More rabbit to do...
We all had a go on the raffle.
After my second cup of the coffee, we left.
See you all later I said.
Back home.
Time to blow up some balloons...
One son already had his cake!
Finds the bunting to put up in the garden.
Then it rains....
(Will put it up when I get back!)
Salad time.
Now out for part 2!
Puts on my summer coat.
Then puts on my lights.
It still is raining!
The hole has been filled in, and has been covered in tarmac.
However the traffic lights are still there.
One friend arrives and we stay under the shelter until it stops.
We carry onto the square for a chat,
Then my other friend arrives and now it's time for a little rabbit...
One of the pupils from the High School was waving a great big Pride Flag.
I gave him a smile.
I heard him say,
"I am getting a lot of smiles from people, when I wave the flag!"
I said goodbye to my friends.
Let's hope it's better that this morning.
Nope!
Cars just doing the Limbo Dance under my stick.
One BMW nearly has her car ariel ripped off by going under my big stick!
One red car had stopped in the Keep Clear Space.
I needed to cross some parents over with pushchairs. When she saw me coming over the road, She mouthed, Oh F**k, and reveresed her car back, so the parents and kids could cross over.
One girl came home to find her mum had put balloons and a Birthday Banner on the front door.
She was not best pleased with it!
Still the cars were failing to stop. It got to the point, where nothing was moving either sides.
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Back home.
The sun is out.
Time to put up the bunting for Birthday boy!
I then put the tea on.
Hubby came home and was very impressed with how the garden looks....
Now to give him a sloppy wet one 💋
Tea is served.
Yum.
Quick look in today's newspaper.

Suffering From The Dreaded C.....

I have a perfect cure for a sore throat - cut it - Alfred Hitchcock
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐪
Warm hug to start the Hump with.
Had brew with breakfast.
Got the thermal vest on.
Dressed.
All ready to leave,
When I collapsed on the bed with no energy and feeling crap....with sore throat and blocked up nose.
I phoned my Lollipop boss to say I won't be on duty today.
I took a Covid-19 test, and went straight back to sleep on top of the bed.
My younger son was also feeling terrible and looked terrible. He also took a test.
An hour after I took the test,
My results were confirmed.
I took a headache pill as I had a thumping headache.
Then I fell into another deep sleep until dinnertime.
When I woke, I needed something to eat and drink.
Finished off the batch of soup.
I will have to make some more tomorrow.
Spoke to hubby afterwards.
Then to write yesterday's blog post.
Tea at 3.
I ordered 4 PCR tests for everyone here.
They should come tomorrow.
Good old Vic, helping me with the blocked nose and sore throat.
Doesn't help my eyes keep running!
I couldn't give hubby a sloppy wet one or a hug, as he is wearing a facemask in the house now.
He is sleeping on the camp bed until I recover.
He bought something for tea on the way home.
Hunter's Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries.
Yum!
Quick look in the newspaper.

Playing With My Brother Again!

There is only one thing in the world worst than being talked about, and that is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde
Welcome to my Thursday 🎄
Nice warm hug.
Followed by Brew and breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I go.
On goes the 2 winter hats, and winter gloves.
Turns on my lights.
Now for the fun to start 🍭
Oh dear, it's going to be like this morning.
Point blank not stopping and going under the stick. Then they stop in the keep clear area, which makes it a bit difficult to cross the kids over.
At least I survived in one piece!
I goes back to Sexy Beast.
I starts to write out my friend's Birthday card.
I got chatting to my friend who is recovering from a op on his hand.
(It is still really enlarged)
He has been on his spin bike every day, cycling 7 miles a day...
I laughed and said:" I can do just about 3 miles, when I get on mine!"
He is having his other hand done next month.
Told to take care.
I wrote out my friend's Christmas Card.
Then I go and deliver them.
He opens the front door and thanks me for his cards.
Then off to get my newspaper before going home.
Puts on the coffee machine.
Gets out the Sewing machine.
Changes the yellow thread to blue on the bobbin.
Threads the needle.
Now for a much needed coffee.
Does the bathroom curtains.
Just waiting on the linings to arrive from Amazon.
Lunchtime.
What's behind the Advent Calender door today?
Time for part two.
On goes the 2 winter hats, with gloves.
I turn on my lights and head down to chat with my two friends for a good rabbit!
I said goodbye to my friends.
Now for the fun to start.
It went quite well, except a few just driving under my stick for the sheer fun of it!
Hometime.
The linings arrived.
Fixed them to the back of the curtains.
Up they went.
I put the fish in the oven.
Hubby got some chips on the way back home.
He had a sloppy wet 💋 off me.
Tea is served.
Our son hung up his Jigsaw in the the picture frame on his wall.
The picture that was replaced by his jigsaw is on my bedroom wall.
I looked into today's newspaper.

Steven  Forrest  was a Scottish singer-songwriter, better known as Steve Bronski.  He was a co-founder and keyboard player of the group Bronski Beat, known for the single Smalltown Boy and Why? As well as being a musician he was well known as an LGBTQ activist and was openly gay himself from an early age.
Born in Castlemilk, Glasgow Bronski worked in his youth as a labourer. He lived in a flat in Brixton, London during the early formative period of Bronski Beat with his fellow musicians. Later on he squatted with partner and bandmate Larry Steinbachek in Camberwell, London. Following the break up of the band he lived in Thailand for many years, as well as Paris, France, before returning to the United Kingdom.
He sadly died in 2021 aged 61.
We had a early night without watching televison.
Sleep Tea Time.
Off to bed early ....Zzzzz
Friday Feeling is back tomorrow 🎈
