Doing Skip Diving!

I have my standards. They may be low, but I have them - Bette Midler.
Welcome to my Sunday🎈
Is it going to be stress free Sunday or not???
I will find out on Tuesday when my dad's funeral is...
I let hubby have a longer lie-in than me.
I went down downstairs to make the tea...
I left his cup of tea by the bed.
I had a bit of yogurt with tea.
The wind was blowing outside....
Storm Ciara has arrived!
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Hubby rose from the warm bed.
I fancied a bit of πŸ’‹
So I took him back to bed for a bit of it...
I felt a lot better after that!
While hubby cleaned out our gerbil.
I started to make hubby's Valentine's present for Friday..
Finished doing up the wooden heart...
It's pom pom time↓
Then the phone calls was coming from my younger brother...
The progical brother was throwing everything away in the skip...
Photos, etc...
As progical brother wasn't there.
Hubby went round, and found my house keys straight away.
They put stickers on things that I want.
Photos of my kids were got out of the skip!
Hubby brought some things back from my dad's house↓
Then we sorted out the funeral songs for my dad's funeral.
I had a look in the newspaper...
Carole King, American singer-songwriter (Tapestry),is 78 years old 🎈

Holly Johnson, rock vocalist (Frankie Goes To Hollywood), is 60 years old 🎈
Brian Connolly, lead singer (Sweet), dies of heart failure aged 52 years old in 1997.

Chained To The Paint Pot!

I always start writing with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind - Patrick Dennis
It was nice to have a bit of lie-in.
Nice snuggle and πŸ’‹πŸ’‹ too.
Enjoyed a nice cup of tea..
Checked on my supply of earplugs↓
 I had coffee while I got dressed↓
Once I put the masking tape down, where I was going to paint..
I opened the white can of paint.
I finished painting around the edges of the Airing cupboard.
 Enjoyed a coffee outside.
No sign of rain yet!
 Light lunch time↓
I finished painting the skirting boards and door arches, upstairs and downstairs.
I ordered some radiator paint,
As all the radiators in the house need repainting.
Another job that will need doing,
Is to repaint the wood holding the bannisters on up the stairs, and the wood by the stairs.
Changing from red to ?
After all this painting.
I needed some fresh air and some vitamin D

The lawn is looking nice after being mowed yesterday↓
We had Salmon Wellington for tea↓
We caught up with this week's episode of Dragon's Den
Dragons' Den is back in business as crafting multimillionaire Sara Davies takes her seat as a new Dragon alongside Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Tej Lalvani.
Tonight a pair of porridge entrepreneurs invite the Dragons to a teddy bears' picnic with a breakfast twist. Academic traditions are turned on their head by two graduates who are determined to disrupt a very established marketplace. An Irish inventor whose dad helped create his dream product hopes to add a new power player to the family business. And things in hot up in the Den when the Dragons meet an entrepreneur who believes the best way to drop a few inches is to wear an extra layer.
*It's Billy's J Kramer's 76th Birthday tomorrow*
(One of his hits is at the end of this blog post)
The doors of the Airing Cupboard look nice now :)

To get in the mood to mount that Wobbly Work Wheel 🎑. tomorrow↓
  I am staying postive!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

Welcome to the 4th Anniversary of this blog...
Little did I know back in 2014 how many people liked reading about what I get up toπŸ˜‰

Hubby was up early to have his hair chopped back, and kids to have their hair styled ready for school...
Me?
I enjoyed some tea in bed..
I got up and enjoyed coffee and kiwi fruit..
My little brother hadn't come to pick up his card and present.↓↓
While I went to do Job,
hubby came back and mowed the lawn. \o/
I meanwhile put name tags in all my youngest son's school uniform and PE kit.
At least he won't forget his name!
I'm in the need for some  fresh air.
I visited some Dunelm to get some bits...
 Nice duvet cover :)
We got back and the bush needed chopping back again↓↓↓

New dog that we won't have to feed or walk 🐢
 New peg bag↑
 Pineapples anyone???

It was nice to sit out in the garden...
My brother finally came round at 8pm to pick up his card and present.
He looked at his cup, and it said:
"Sometimes a pain in the arse"
"That's nice, I'm not that bad am I?" He asked.
"I'm not going to answer that,
As I know the answer, and you do...!" I laughed.
After we caught up with "Dragon's Den" on catch up...
We crashed on the bed....
Busy Monday ahead....
Need for Zzzzzzzzz is so underwhelming

Getting Them Bedded In.

Welcome to my sunny Sunday.
I had a small lie-in...
I wrote out a very small shopping list...
Time to add those big big sunglasses..
 Big sun time...

 Hubby went into Lidl.
I had my Dunelm Experience...

We got our food shopping done.
Back home with my purchase from Dunelm.
 Sat in the garden...
 With a nibble↓↓
 Back out....

I got a few reduced plants.
On to the next garden centre...

While on the way to visit the stocks, I was looking at the big house with gates.
One house has a man looking through his living room window wearing a lovely white fluffy dressing gown.
Got to the Stocks.

 Gets back home,
It's too hot to do some gardening at the moment..

The flowers have been bedded in.

Added Cider to our evening meal.
Carried on watching series 3 of Great British Bake Off.
All ready to bake my own cake for a local Bake Off competition next week...
