Made My Monday!

I was the only director who ever made two pictures with Marilyn Monroe. Forget the Oscar, I deserve the Purple Heart - Billy Wilder
Welcome aboard my Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Last Monday of January \o/
Heardle Time.
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
Breakfast and Brew.
Thermal vest goes on as well as lots of layers.
Still got a bit of a stomach upset, which I don't need!
Now to to leave the house.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I leave.
I have to go the long way round to work to avoid 2 sets of traffic lights.
On goes the winter coat, 2 hats, and winter gloves.
I gets the newspaper.
Now to fetch my big stick...
I go and put on my lights.
Let's go to work...🍭
I just crossed someone over,I saw the small VW 19 plate car that wouldn't stop on Friday when I was in the middle of the road and nearly took my arm off!
I had a few BOINGs to dish out as well.
Nice to catch up with what's been happening in everyone's world!
I finished in one piece.
Back home I go.
The coffee machine goes on.
Loads and puts on the dish washer (twice)
Now to finish putting satin varnish on the toads we painted yesterday.
Left them to dry.
Now for some liquid lunch.
I was getting to ready to go and do the afternoon shift.
I had a interesting visit from the Council worker to look at doing the Pointing (to stop the wall wobbling when I close my back door).
He looked at it and we got chatting.
Half an hour chatting in the back garden,
Then I showed in the front of the house, and another hour of chatting....
I told him about the meeting I had, and piss taking I had from the three in the meeting about how much stuff I had, and hinting I am a Hoarder!
He laughed.
"No way  you are a Hoarder!"He said.
"You have made my day!" I replied.
He then went on to say,"If they say Hoarding again, just mention have they done the Dignity course?
That will should shut them up!"
Now to try to remember the Dignity course...
He then went on about a case of a Hoarder he had to deal with:
"3 level house, top floor hadn't been opened since 1971. All the rooms full on the second floor, the only room that was lived in was the Living room.
9 vans and 7 flat bed trucks it took to take empty the house!"
Then we go on to vinyl and Heardles.
He mentioned Alexa has a game of Spot the Intro. I will have a go on that later.
I said "Goodbye and hope to see you again!"
I looked at my watch and realised I might be late for the afternoon shift!
I had to go the long way around to avoid the traffic lights.
Just got one parking space that was left when I got there! Phew!
On goes my winter hat, winter coat and gloves.
As I turn on my lights.
I got chatting with a lovely friend who makes me laugh and vice versa. He is having a second bout of chemo for skin cancer.
I wished him well, and went and get my big stick.
One of my friends appeared.
He had walked down to the Charity Shop and looked through the window.
Someone went past and shouted to him:
"We know who you are looking for!"
I told him, "Too much yakking has made me late!"
My other friend couldn't come as her daughter had Chicken Pox.
Collected my stick and we went to wait in the square to have a little rabbit.
It was time to say goodbye.
Now to do the afternoon shift.
The low lying sun was a bit of a pain.
A few BOINGs given out for not stopping.
The low lying sun was being covered by clouds which helped!
Finished in one piece.
Home Time.
The No.1 on the Feel Good Chart that Greatest Hits Radio was counting down, turned out to be:
Get home.
The frogs had dried and to put them outside.
Now for a cup of brew!
I didn't have a Stir Fry today.
I am playing safe with a salad instead!
Only could eat half of it :(
Kids finished off their pizzas.
Then they went off to the Town Hall to observe the full council meeting.
I looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1964:
The Searchers - Needles and Pins
UK No.1 on this day in 1982:
Shakin' Stevens - Oh Julie
UK No.1 on this day in 1999:
The Offspring - Pretty Fry ( For A White Guy)
US No.1 on this day in 1982:
Daryl Hall and John Oates - I Can't Go For That
US No.1 on this in 1988:
INXS - Need You Tonight
On Social meeting someone was talking about Street View looking back in history.
I looked up my late parent's house.
Back in 2009↓
2012↓
(My mum passed away in 2013)
2015↓
(My dad passed away in 2020.
The house was sold)
2021↓
I had a nice hot shower.
Sleep Tea Time.
I had a quick go on Spot the Intro with Alexa.
I didn't know the first two songs.
I got the third one right, however Alexa shut the game down when I told her correct song!
Oh well, try again tomorrow!
Let's hope for a even better day tomorrow!

Only Got A Tiny One!

If you are bored with your present enemies and want to make some new ones, tell two of your women friends that they look alike - Mignon McLaughlin
Welcome to my Sunday! 🚋
We had a bit of lie-in after last night's fun...
Warm hug with brew followed.
Breakfast..
Dressed..
I am in need of a caffeine boost!
Now out for a little ride in Sexy Beast.
First to check the tyres pressures...
Then to put the pinks back on...
Dropped off two more bags of clothes in the clothes bank at Sainsburys.
Then to say hello to mum and dad.
Back home to pick up the shopping list for Lidl.
There was a good book for sale in there.
Hubby said hi to the sales assistant on the till as he hasn't seen him in a while.
It turns out, the sales assistant was recovering from a car accident for the last 5 months.
We nipped into Home Bargains.
Then onto the small branch of Waitrose.
There was loads of reduced food.
I only got what I needed.
The Sales Assistant asked:
"Why I was buying a copy of the weekend's I newspaper?"
"Because I didn't buy it yesterday."
He rolled his eyes.
Because I spent over £10 I could get a free newspaper, they had sold out the Sunday Times, so I had another newspaper.
Loaded up the shopping into the car and off home we went.
Once the shopping was put away.
We caught up on the jobs that needed doing.
I put the evening tea in the oven to cook.
Hubby went to vacuum and get his car cleaned.
(It might move a bit quicker now!)
Tea is ready!
Now to catch up with 3 newspapers I bought today!
