Testing Their Brakes And Testing My Patience!

There is no such thing as a little garlic - Arthur Baer
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice big stretch for Wednesday \o/
Made time to do the Heardles.
Heardle 60s:
My results:
Brew with Breakfast,
Dressed.
Now time to go out and enjoy Hump Day!
I gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I left.
I need a Big Song on repeat until I get to work:
I buy my newspaper first.
I get on my Summer Coat and go off to turn on my lights.
I turn on my lights...
Now to go to work.....
In the first five minutes,
I cross over about 20 people.
Then the fun starts...
A road sweeper is coming down the road.
One car overtakes it and narrowly takes out the crossing in the middle of the road↓
The second car then went on the other side of the road to over take the road sweeper.
Even the driver of the Road Sweeper shook his head at me. I shook mine at him.
Now back to the Boing!
One red Volvo ignored my raised big stick and went straight under it.
BOING.
He slowed down afterwards, and saw me growling at him in his rear view mirrow!
One flat back truck had to slam on his brakes as I was walking across the road with my big stick in front of me.
I even had to stop a lovely white Mclaren↓
One learner driver had to a emergency stop as I was walking across the road.
He didn't like me much, when I got back on the pavement.
Several cars failed to stop for my big stick with STOP on it.
Boing,Boing, Boing I went.
I was glad to finish.
My friend appeared to have her pizza, which my son brought back last night.
I did some catch up shopping from the local Co-op.
Got some fuel.
On the way back home, some one in a black mini didn't stop at the roundabout and kept going.
I overtook her on the dual carriageway, and she ended up following me halfway home at the correct speed of the road.
Finally gets home!
Time to put on that coffee machine.
Unpacks the shopping.
Puts out the washing on the line.
Now to enjoy coffee!
Starts writing Monday's blog post up to lunch.
Light lunch time.
Now to leave the house for the afternoon shift!
Nice big tune to sing along to↓
On goes the summer coat.
I turn on my lights.
Chats with people on the way to get my ice lolly.
Fetches my big stick and sits in the square.
I have a chat with one friend.
A right good rabbit we had in the sunshine.
Time was up.
Said goodbye.
Afternoon shift time!
Oh dear,
One Mini went straight under my stick,
Followed by a small white car.
The next small car wasn't so lucky.
Down went my stick!
No limbo dancing for them!
Some cars read what it says on the road!
KEEP CLEAR!
So they stop in it, and how can I get the kids over?
I was so glad to finish in one piece!
Home time.
Much needed brew!
I got on with making the tea and catching up with the blog posts.
Hubby had a sloppy wet one 💋 when he came home.
Tea is served up.
Yum!
Looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 2013:
Katy Perry - Roar
US No.1 on this day in 1957:
Paul Anka - Diana
US No.1 on this day in 1974:
Eric Clapton - I Shot The Sheriff
US No.1 on this day in 2013:
Katy Perry - Roar.
We watched the final episode we missed last night.
I tried to write more blog posts.
However the yawning soon stopped that.
Sleep Tea Time.
I hope I don't have a bad Thursday tomorrow like last week!

Ping Time...

Middle age is when you're sitting at home on a Saturday Night and the telephone rings and you hope it isn't for you! - Ogden Nash
Woo hoo Saturday is here...
I managed to hear the last 20 minutes of "Sounds of the 60's".
I heard a good song to start Saturday with...
We were going to do our food shopping early before it's gets busy!.
 Fresh air time...
 Lidl time....
Nice bargain price from £29.99 to £29.99↑
One woman picked up a reduced chicken,
I picked up the other one...
I could hear her gums banging together to her husband when I walked off with it!
We nipped into Home Bargains.
We couldn't visit Waitrose, as the car park was full!
Next we visited Pets At Home for hamster and gerbil supplies
Lovely little hamster like our Ruby↑
Pops round to see my dad.
Back home to unload the shopping.
Puts the oven on and it keeps tripping the electric!
Good job we have a microwave!
Now to test out the microwave...↓↓
We carried on watching series 18 of Hell's Kitchen...
I caught up with the Birthdays.
Andrew Ridgeley: English, rock guitarist (Wham) is 56 years old.
Paul Newman - American actor (Hud, Hombre, Hustler), racing car driver and charity food company founder (Newman's Own),would have been 94 years old.
(He died aged 83 in 2008)
Colin Vearncombe: English singer-songwriter (Black), dies after a road accident at 53 in 2016
"Bridge over Troubled Water": 5th and final studio album by Simon & Garfunkel is released (Grammy Award Album of the Year, Best Engineered Non-Classical Album 1971) in 1970.
 As the oven isn't working,
A light tea ahead...
Now in for some more Hell's Kitchen....
(Hopefully get the oven working next week!)
