Things Can Only Get Better!

I can't cook. I use a smoke alarm as a timer -Carol Siskind
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice warm hug.
Brew with breakfast.
No thermal vest needed.
Hubby is back at work today.
Speaking of work, off I go to mine.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one.
I went and got today's newspaper and next door's magazine.
I slipped into the winter coat, but took off my jumper as I was getting warm.
Rain wasn't forecasted until after I finished.
After I put on my lights, the rain started!
Good job I had my winter coat on, as the summer coat doesn't have a hood!
It rained the whole time I was on duty!
I had one BOING.
Finished in one piece.
I go off to Co-op to do some shopping.
Back home to unpack it all.
Coffee machine went on.
One of my sons came back from school with a Wonky Box.
The soup maker was put back on.
Time for coffee!
Time for some liquid lunch...
Hubby had a good return back to work.
Speaking of work, time to go back to mine.
I put on my summer coat and  hat.
I turn on my lights.
Then wait for my friends to arrive.
Time for a rabbit!
Once it was time to start.
I said goodbye to my friends.
It was a bit quiet at first, then went crazy.
A man over the road, fell from his bike and lay in the road. Everyone went over and put him the Rescue position.
Then he stopped breathing. A blanket went up and everyone was taking turns to give him CPR.
One man shouted at me,"Will the lollypop woman stop the traffic coming down!"
I was stopping the traffic to cross the kids over!
Soon the traffic was backing up on my left.
All the car doing U-turns, One Ambulance turned up, the De-fib was being used. The Paramedic also came down to help.
The kids in cars coming up the road were upset going past the man in the road.Soon the traffic was stopped coming up the road. The woman in her silver grey Land Rover that tried to run me over, had to leave her landy down the bottom of the road and walk up to collect her kids. She huffed and puffed as she went past me twice.
Soon the traffic were stopped coming down at both ends. Some of the general public think I can direct traffic, or stand up where I put on my lights and stop traffic coming down the road.
The Air Ambulance came to see if they could help.
They had been giving him CPR for 40 minutes now.
Another ambulance arrived as I finished.I went the back way home.
I phoned my boss up and asked I carry on with my job and not direct traffic.
Correct they said.
Time for a much needed brew!
Puts the tea in the oven.
Hubby comes back and has a sloppy wet one.
Yum!

Breaking In Another One!

A barometer is an ingenious instrument that indicates what kind of weather we are having - Ambrose Bierce
Welcome to my Thursday 🍭
As I was waiting for another lollypop stick, I didn't have to rise early.
That being the case, we both slept in late until 6.50!!!
Ahhhhhh!
Hubby was soon up and doing the breakfast while I got dressed!
One big hug,
Followed by brew and breakfast.
Hubby got dressed,
He had a sloppy wet one from me, and off to work he went.
Me?
I loaded up dishwasher.
Got out the breakmaker.
Tried making a wholemeal loaf.
Then the soup maker was put on as well.
Chicken,Leek,Parsnip & Mushroom.
Now time for a much needed coffee.
The lollipop stick was going to be delivered later on this morning.
Now to get the newspaper and drop son off at school.
Got newspaper and dropped off son.
I was soon back home.
Soon as got through the door.
My boss appeared with my new stick.
I gave her the old one to dispose off↓
I said goodbye to my boss.
The new one went back into Sexy Beast for later use in the afternoon.
I had some great post!
I have the missing MISTY annual!
I was given the other annuals at Christmas from my late parents↓↓↓↓
Now for some nice soup!
The bread was ready!
Now out to break in another lollipop stick!
One winter hat and gloves went on.
Now to show off my new stick!
After I turned on my lights.
I got chatting with my friend with his dog.
His wife and him went on their bikes out this morning for a ride, instead of tomorrow.
During to high winds.
I said goodbye to him and off to wait for my friends to arrive.
The sun keeps appearing, but the wind is building up again.
My friends arrive and time for a little rabbit.
Then it was time to start.
I said goodbye to my friends.
I kept my lollipop close to me, and cars were stopping!
My golddigging brother went past in his van.
I gave him the "burn" look all the way up the road. That ginger beard is hiding those ever increasing chins......
Then I saw the neighbourhood Policeman go past in this van, he waved at me, drove slow, then parked behind the shops.
Oh, I thought, he might come over and see me.
Nope, went in the shop, came out, back to the van, came out of the car park, and turned right down the road!
I was nearly losing my hat due the high winds!
Everyone was glad I was back, and told the reason why I wasn't here yesterday afternoon and this morning.
Finished in one piece.
Now to get back home.
Time for a brew.
I fried the meatballs, then put in the oven.
Started to cook the pasta.
Now to write yesterday's interesting blog post.
Hubby came back and a sloppy wet one.
Tea is served.
Yum.
Now to look in the newspaper.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others - Anon
Welcome to my Thursday 💄
After spending a lot of night trying to get comfortable on a 2 seater sofa, it was time for a much needed cup of tea!
Sleeping Beauty rose and made breakfast.
We got both sons up.
(One son is going into work)
While I was getting dressed, hubby fetched the newspaper and filled his car up with fuel.
Then he dropped son off and came back to pick us up.
The postman arrived and gave me my mail.
I had a reply from one of the prisoners on Death Row, I wrote to at the beginning of the month.
Now onto another Road Trip...
We looked around the market.
Now to hit the Charity shops..
Now for a coffee...
They didn't have Full Fat Milk (Blue)
So had soya milk with my Americano
Now to get back on the Charity Shop Hunt.
Got lots of bargains!
Now back home.
Got the soup maker out....
The soup didn't taste as good as yesterday :(
Live and learn.
Hubby went out to get some Ear Plugs, as it would have been another night for me on the sofa as my Ear Plugs from Amazon wasn't coming until tomorrow.
He found some!
Hubby then went out with son to do the week's shopping (And next door's shopping)
One Black Audi travelling with no headlights, actually went off the highway and went back on.
Hubby was glad it turned left at the Road Traffic Island.
