Escaping......That Noise!

The person who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused - Russ Dudley.
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice hug to start Hump Day with 🐫
Brew with Breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
Younger son had finished another puzzle \o/
He is starting another one after breakfast.
Now out for another road trip...
Now to start visiting some Charity Shops.
Pub had caught fire last year.
It was left to the last two Charity Shops when we found some things we needed.
We put the shopping trolley in the car and went to pick up some bits from Waitrose.
I used the scanner to keep an eye on what I was spending.
Went to scan it out, and had to be checked on what I bought.
Unloaded it all at the next available Cashier.
Only to be told, I only had to be checked for 5 items at the self service.
I replied to that gem was:
"Last time I was checked, the whole lot had to be rescanned...."
"That's been changed now,"I was told.
Just about to pay for it all, and my card wasn't being accepted by the card reader!
Quick wipe and the computer said "YES!"
I need a drink after that!
Now back home to unpack all the shopping.
But first the new soup maker goes on.
Bargains.
Hubby now has a big and small Hulk guarding his Rum!
Now for the homemade soup.
Then I constructed a little film about Coffee and Rum...
It didn't take too long to do.
Speaking about Coffee....
It's time for one...
My perfume arrived :)
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Now to get the tea ready.
Put on a good film to watch.
Nice easy Veggie Tea.
Someone put their 1979 Misty annual on Twitter.
She was commenting on how much people were selling copies of it.
I have 7 Misty Annuals and missing 1979.
Next a good film starts at 9pm.
All Because The Lady Loves Milk Tray↓
Quick read of today's newspaper.
USA No.1 on this day in 1973:
Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle
UK No.1 on this day in 1987:
Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind
Sleep Tea Time.
As we were getting ready for bed, my ear plugs had disappeared.
I'm not putting up with loud snoring no way!
I went back downstairs to sleep on the sofa instead...
Night all

- Texas Guinan
Welcome to my Thursday 👍
Nice warm hug to start the day.
Breakfast with brew.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he left for work.
Then I started to wrap the final presents.
Then Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
Gets all the kids up.
One son is having his second Covid 19 jab this morning.
We leave the house.
We wait in the car park, while my son has his second Covid vaccine.
Then it's on to make my parent's grave feel a bit more like Christmas.
Then off to Sainsburys.
I picked up my Soup Maker from Argos.
Then I needed 2 more items.
The person in front has 26 items in his trolley.
Lots of tins of Quality Street, and Booze.
His bill came up to £197.
He paid in cash.
My two items came up to £3.50.
Loaded it up in Sexy Beast.
Now back home.
Coffee machine put on!
What's behind the Advent Calender door?
Lunchtime.
My friend came round soon after.
Coffee, Banana loaf and chat.
Swapped presents.
Wished her a Happy Christmas.
My Cake tins arrived...
Out came Kenny to mix the mixture.
Lots of Brandy added.
(Finished what was left in the bottle)
I had to use another tin as well, as had some mix left over.
4 tier Xmas Cake.
The cake mix was added to the tins, and will be put in the oven tomorrow morning.
Hubby came home to have a sloppy wet 💋.
Dishes up the tea.
Quick look in the newspaper.
Frederick Heath , known professionally as Johnny Kidd, was an English singer-songwriter, best remembered as the lead vocalist for the rock and roll band Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. He was one of the few pre-Beatles British rockers to achieve worldwide fame, mainly for his 1960 hit, "Shakin' All Over".
He would have been 86 years old 🎈
Honey Lantree (born Anne  Lantree, born  in Hayes, Middlesex). She was the  drummer and singer in the 60s band, The Honeycombs.
She sadly died aged 75 in 2018.
We watched the news review.
Sleep tea time.
I hopefully get Christmas Cake made and decorated by the end of the day....
