Escaping......That Noise!

The person who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused - Russ Dudley.
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice hug to start Hump Day with 🐫
Brew with Breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
Younger son had finished another puzzle \o/
He is starting another one after breakfast.
Now out for another road trip...
Now to start visiting some Charity Shops.
Pub had caught fire last year.
It was left to the last two Charity Shops when we found some things we needed.
We put the shopping trolley in the car and went to pick up some bits from Waitrose.
I used the scanner to keep an eye on what I was spending.
Went to scan it out, and had to be checked on what I bought.
Unloaded it all at the next available Cashier.
Only to be told, I only had to be checked for 5 items at the self service.
I replied to that gem was:
"Last time I was checked, the whole lot had to be rescanned...."
"That's been changed now,"I was told.
Just about to pay for it all, and my card wasn't being accepted by the card reader!
Quick wipe and the computer said "YES!"
I need a drink after that!
Now back home to unpack all the shopping.
But first the new soup maker goes on.
Bargains.
Hubby now has a big and small Hulk guarding his Rum!
Now for the homemade soup.
Then I constructed a little film about Coffee and Rum...
It didn't take too long to do.
Speaking about Coffee....
It's time for one...
My perfume arrived :)
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Now to get the tea ready.
Put on a good film to watch.
Nice easy Veggie Tea.
Someone put their 1979 Misty annual on Twitter.
She was commenting on how much people were selling copies of it.
I have 7 Misty Annuals and missing 1979.
Next a good film starts at 9pm.
All Because The Lady Loves Milk Tray↓
Quick read of today's newspaper.
USA No.1 on this day in 1973:
Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle
UK No.1 on this day in 1987:
Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind
Sleep Tea Time.
As we were getting ready for bed, my ear plugs had disappeared.
I'm not putting up with loud snoring no way!
I went back downstairs to sleep on the sofa instead...
Night all

One Flash Too Many!

Television is a weapon of mass distraction - Larry Gelbart
Welcome to my Thursday 👍
Brew with a much needed hug.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
It looked pretty cloudy...
Rain is on the way....
I gave hubby a wet sloppy 💋 before I left.
I hoped it was just going to be cloudy.
On goes the summer coat.
Tree Pic.
I put on my lights, now for the fun to start.
The traffic was moving until the Flower lorry.
Some cars are the otherside weren't stopping anytime soon!
At least I finished in one piece!
The rain held off as well!
I picked up the newspaper on the way home.
I put on the coffee maker.
Then I had a nice cold shower!
Now to enjoy the coffee...
I got all my Prima Makes magazines out...
1-24.
I however am missing issue 11.
Finally found it...bid on and won it!
One Ebayer was getting a bit greedy.
I put a offer of £2 for her magazine.
She fired back another offer of £3, saying £2 was too low (even though she put the starting bid of £2)
and she has 3 other watchers.
Fine, let them have it.
I am watching it to see if it goes for £2 or it doesn't sell!
I got yesterday's blog post wrote.
Now for lunch!
Now out for part two.
There was no rain when I left my house, half way to my job it came down.
Parks up Sexy Beast and it stopped.
I go down to look into the Charity Shop before I start.
Picked up a great film for 50p!
Brilliant film!
Now to do up the coat and getting ready for round 2.
I was right hot under the collar for the first 20 minutes.
Then the rain came down and cooled me right down!
I had the normal car drivers that don't understand the word STOP!
Finished for today!
Once I got back to Sexy Beast,  my friend appeared with his dog.
After 50 minutes of chatting, I said Goodbye.
On the way home, I was followed by a small black van, when I nearly reached home.
I signalled to turn right, a skip lorry was at the junction I was turning into,he was waiting to turn right(out of the junction).
As I come up to the lorry, the driver suddenly slammed on his brakes.I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the Black van was flashing at the lorry to go, but I was in the way!I turned right, then the lorry himself turned right and the black van was sat there waiting to get into the road!
One lucky escape!
The rain started again!
Now to put the food in the oven for tea.
I finished watching I survived 9/11 again, I missed some bits the first time round.
I gave hubby a big sloppy wet 💋 when he came home.
Tea was ready!
