Who Is Getting Home First?

The only way of catching a train I ever discovered is to miss the train before - G.K Chesterton.
Welcome to my Sunday 💜
Had a much needed cup of tea...
We done all the Heardles.
Yesterday Heardle 60s was:
Today's Heardle 60s was:
Dressed.
Went down for a lovely breakfast.
Quick walk to the seafront for the last time.
One last look out of the bedroom window.
However we hit a small problem with loading up the car. So much stuff, no room for kids!
One son said:
"Maybe you should buying so much from the Charity Shops mum!"
I replied,"Who bought the six foot teddy bear?"
Looked at the train timetable.
Train leaving for home at 11.30, four stops and they arrive home about 3.30pm.
Bought the train tickets and off they went to catch the train.
Let's see who gets home first...
So reminds me of a certain advert...↓
I thanked Simon and Rhona for a wonderful time.
Off we go.
Some decent music to sing along with:
First stop at the motorway service.
At the next motorway services...
It was turn to drive....
It was raining, and ok the car was the same make as Sexy Beast, but I just had my wits about me, and put another 60s CD to calm my nerves....
Off we went in the rain...
Bloody roadworks, crawling at 5 m.p.h and having people overtake me to get in front and then they can't go anywhere!!!
I'm glad I don't drive on motorways very often!
Finally gets home!!!
Unpacks car....
Time to give Sexy Beast a ride out to check it's tyre pressures.
Then to pick up a perscription for hubby, as he had got a chest infection.
Back home to put the washing machine back on.
Salad for tea.
We watched "Every Which Way You Can"
Sleep tea time
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel tomorrow 🎡

I had a chat with my mum and dad.
It's over two weeks away from my dad's 80th Birthday 🎈🎈🎈
Back home to unpack all my lovely stuff.
While hubby mowed the lawn.
I tidied up the windows up the stairs, in the toilet and bathroom.
Looking well nice :)
New volias in the bathroom window.
The old ones were washed, and once dried were put up in the kitchen window and over the back door.

Suzanne Vega is an American singer-songwriter, musician and record producer, best known for her folk-inspired music. Vega's music career spans almost 40 years. She came to prominence in the mid-1980s, releasing four singles that entered the Top 40 charts in the UK during the 1980s and 1990s, including "Marlene on the Wall", "Left of Center", "Luka" and "No Cheap Thrill". "Tom's Diner", which was originally released as an a cappella recording on Vega's second album, Solitude Standing (1987), was remixed in 1990 as a dance track by English electronic duo DNA with Vega as featured artist, and it became a Top 10 hit in over five countries.
She is 62 years old 🎈
