Welcome to my busy SundayπŸ’“
Little bit of a lie-in.
Hug with brew.
Breakfast.
Now to start to get the back garden cleared of stuff to go down the tip.
Filled car up, hubby and younger son went down to empty the car.
Meanwhile my other son and me were sorting through lots of black bags from the loft.
I found a Duck!
Edd the Duck.
When hubby came back...
Time for coffee!
Then to load hubby's car to go down the storage unit.
More sorting out to do.
Once car was loaded up.
We had a quick lunch.
Hubby went off to the Storage unit to unload his car.
Hubby comes back.
Now out in Sexy Beast.
Check tyres,
Fill up, and get today's newspaper.
Back home to fill hubby's car up with more things to go to the tip!
Once filled up, off he went!
I found my Misty Annual from 1981!
I had this every Christmas until 1985!
Nice easy tea.
I was going to collect a Magic bag from Waitrose tonight, however they didn't have enough food.
So it was cancelled.
We picked up the first Magic Bag from Morrisons.
Then a Magic bag from M&S.
Now to catch up with a great film, we recorded earlier.
Sleep Tea time.
Quick look into today's newspaper.
David  McCallum  is a British-American actor and musician. He first gained recognition in the 1960s for playing secret agent Illya Kuryakin in the television series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. In recent years, McCallum has gained renewed international recognition and popularity for his role as NCIS medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard in the American television series NCIS. With John Leyton, he is one of the last living actors from the 1963 classic The Great Escape.
He is 88 years old 🎈
Michael  Elphick  was an English film and television actor. He played the eponymous private investigator in the ITV series Boon and Harry Slater in BBC's EastEnders. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1983 film Gorky Park.
In his prime, Elphick always looked older than he was, and with his gruff Sussex accent and lip-curling sneer he often played menacing hard men.
Elphick struggled with a highly publicised addiction to alcohol; at the height of his problem he admitted to consuming two litres of spirits a day, which contributed to his death from a heart attack in 2002.
He would have been 75 years old 🎈
John  Challis was an English actor. He had an extensive television career but is best known for portraying Terrance Aubrey "Boycie" Boyce in the long-running BBC Television sitcom Only Fools and Horses (1981–2003) and its sequel/spin-off The Green Green Grass (2005–2009), as well as Monty Staines from the seventh series onwards in the ITV sitcom Benidorm, from 2015 to 2018.
He sadly died today aged 79.
I actually met John Challis at a book signing in 2015.
Back on the wobbly work wheel tomorrow 🎑

Oh Dear, Someone Has A Lead Foot!

The best way to spoil a good story is by sticking to the facts. - Author: Evan Esar
Welcome to my Saturday πŸ“¦πŸ“¦πŸ“¦
Nice hug with brew.
Breakfast.
One son up ready for work.
Dressed.
Now out of the house we go.
Before he goes into work, we nip into a Second hand shop to look for a wooden cane.
Gets one, and it's free!
Then onto Argos to get more storage boxes.
Then onto the Storage place.
First storage room was 35 sq feet.
"Too small,"I said closing the door.
Next was 70 sq feet.
I scoffed at that...
"Too small!"
Next was 100 sq feet.
I got it for the price of 80 sq foot.
(I have a filling it's going to be too small, we shall see!)
Now to get the newspaper with a bit of nibble to tide us over....
Bacon with black pudding......
YUM YUM!
Once we finished that.
Nice to trip to Bromsgrove Argos....
To get more Storage boxes...
It was like pulling teeth, waiting to be served.
Finally got my storage boxes!
We nipped into one charity shop.
We got the first 3 series of
Then to get a padlock.
Now back home to start on the loft!
Two piles to start with.
Tip or Storage.
Hubby done one trip to the Storage unit.
When he came back,
I went to pick up son from his job.
This is where is gets interesting.
One boy racer in his white Skoda Fabia, didn't want to get stuck behind me driving a red Skoda Fabia.....
We were at the traffic lights together in a nice line.
Green light, off I went, little boy didn't like that!
Down went the lead foot, overtook me in his lane, then crossed back into my lane at the roundabout.
Then I was behind him all the way to my son's workplace, shaking my head and singing along.
Picked son, and back home we went.
Hubby filled up his car.
Then for a cold drink..
As it was getting well warm!
Back home to load up car for another trip to the Storage unit....
That is after two car loads.
When hubby came back,
Time for a much needed light tea.
I even found a good book to read that came from the loft.
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Then it was time to watch the big film.....
Quick look into today's newspaper.

James Frederick "Jimmie" Rodgers was an American singer and actor. Rodgers had a run of hits and mainstream popularity in the 1950s and 1960s. His string of crossover singles ranked highly on the Billboard Pop Singles, Hot Country and Western Sides, and Hot Rhythm and Blues Sides charts; in the 1960s, Rodgers had more modest successes with adult contemporary music.
He would have been 88 years old 🎈
He died aged 87 in 2021
Sleep Tea time.
Now off to bed as more clearing of the loft tomorrow!

Friday Madness, Bedlam and Chaos!

I don't get paid enough to care - Conan O'Brien
Welcome along to my Friday Feeling 🎈
Hug with brew.
Breakfast.
My baking hand is starting to itch....
Time to get out Kenny later!
Dressed.
Gives my hubby his sloppy wet 😘 before I leave.
Summer coat goes on....
Now for the fun to start...🍭
It wasn't too bad for a Friday morning.
Some had to slam on the brakes to stop.
(At least the brakes didn't make no noise!)
The sun came out, and it was getting warm!
Finished in one piece.
I got the newspaper on the way home.
I got Kenny out, and started to bake cake!
Once it was put in the oven....
Time for coffee!
Watered the plants outside.
Once the cake had cooled down.
Decorate time!
Lemon,Cherry,and Pecan Cake.
Light lunch time.
One of my son's is going into school for charity next Friday.
His fancy dress outfit arrived.
Getting the cane tomorrow.
Now out for the afternoon shift.
The sun is still out...
I sat down to enjoy the rays before I started.
My friend joined me (Without his dog) for a quick 20 min chat before I started the afternoon shift!
I wished him a good weekend.
Now for the fun to start 🎈
Oh dear, suddenly I was engulfed in traffic!
No one was stopping.
One old man in his blue car was travelling 4 m.p.h on the other side of the road and refusing to stop and kept saying "Sorry,Sorry, Sorry" when he went past!
The traffic was backing all the way up the road.
Where has all this traffic come from?
One black Range Rover was cms away from running over my foot!
Madness,Bedlam and Chaos it was turning out to be.
I was so glad to finish in one piece!
Finally got home...
I poured myself a very strong cup of coffee!
I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet 😘 when he came home.
Tea was served.
While I looked in today's newspaper,
Hubby went out do get some food shopping with our youngest son who was doing next door 's neighbour's shopping as well.
