Smoke Gets Everywhere!

All the good ones are taken, if they are not taken, then there's a reason -
Murphy's Law.
 Welcome to my Tuesday 👍
💋, hug and brew to start the day.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
I gives hubby a wet sloppy 💋 before he left for work.
Both kids also had 💋💋 before they left for school.
I loaded up the dishwasher.
Now to light up the Sage...
So good stuff the smoke alarm went off!
I left it outside afterwards to cool down.
Henry came out for another short play.
Mopped the kitchen floor as well.
Time for a much  needed coffee.
I started to write yesterday's blog post.
I had a chat with the postman.
I told him about me not speaking to my brothers and the reasons why.
5 years for one brother.
4 months for the other one.
And I am happy for it.
My late dad's death certificate finally arrived.
Now I know what he died from.
It's a pity he didn't have a post mortem, as he lost 10 stone in 6 years, and there must have been another reason for it besides what he died from.
I also noticed Prodical brother said he was with our dad when he died. In fact Prodical brother was in bed upstairs when our dad died, and discovered my dad dead the following morning. I found out when my younger brother was trying to phone me while I was doing my Lollipop job.
I also had the blazer I bought from Ebay. Pity the seller made a nice profit in the postage. I gave him 1/5 star for that in his feedback.
I discovered I can get rid of that nasty smell from white spirit from my washing machine.
Using White Vinegar with Baking Soda.
Pity I had neither, so I put a order in.
Made yet another loaf of bread as yesterday's was eaten.
One son came back from school during lunchtime as he had a free lesson.
Finished writing yesterday's blog post.
Now for lunch!
I was enjoying listening to my playlist I created on Amazon music.
Got things ready to chop up for tea.
But first....
Tea at 3.
My kids came back from school.
My delivery of food also arrived.
That will help cut down the food shop this week!
Put it's all away.
Now to start on tonight's tea.
Chicken pan fried.
Chopped mushrooms, onions, peppers, garlic and the spinach was lightly fried too.
Added the Honey and Mustard sauce and in the oven it all went.
Hubby came back from work.
He had a sloppy wet 💋 .
He gave me today's newspaper.
Gary Walker (born Gary Leeds) is an American musician, who was the drummer and vocalist with both the Standells and the Walker Brothers.
He has been credited as the catalyst in bringing the unrelated Walker Brothers to the UK in 1965 where, for a couple of years, they enjoyed commercial success. He had two minor UK hit singles while still a member of the group in 1966. The Walker Brothers split in May 1967 with all three members going solo.
In 1967 he founded Gary Walker and the Rain, which consisted of Joey Molland (guitar and vocals); Charles "Paul" Crane (lead vocals, guitar); and John Lawson (bass guitar).
As of 2019, owing to the death of Scott Walker, Gary is now the last surviving member of The Walker Brothers.
He is 79 years old 🎈
Martin Fry  is an English singer, songwriter, composer, musician, and record producer.
Fry's music career spans more than 40 years. He came to prominence in the early 1980s as co-founder and lead singer of the pop band ABC, which released six singles that entered the Top 20 charts in the United Kingdom during the 1980s, including "Tears Are Not Enough", "Poison Arrow", "The Look of Love", "All of My Heart", "That Was Then but This Is Now" and "When Smokey Sings". He is the only member who has been with ABC throughout its entire history and is currently its only official member.
He is 63 years old 🎈
Tea is served.
We watched today's episode of Judge Rinder.
Followed by Motorway Cops.
One BMW driver who was driving at speeds over 150 mph on the motorway, even the Policeman in his car was having trouble catching up with him!
When finally caught, the BMW driver gave no reason why he was driving over 150mph!!!!
3 months driving ban with a £500 fine.
Another episode is on tomorrow.
We watched more the Eighties series.
"Tear Down This Wall"
&
"Video Killed the Radio Star"
Hubby hadn't seen the episode about the music videos.
Sleep Tea time.
Let's hope we won't have a wet and windy Hump Day 🐫
tomorrow 💧

Finally Getting Better At It!!!

When all else fails, and the instructions are missing - kick it. - Anon
Welcome to my Monday 👯
Nice big 💋, hug with brew!
Breakfast.

Gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he went to work.
(He was getting the newspaper on the way)
I gave one son a sloppy wet 💋 before he went to school.
The other son is getting tested for Covid at 12.10,
So he is doing his school work from home until I drop him off later.
Unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.
Third time lucky for the baking bread.
Now for a much needed coffee.
Now to write two blog posts from the weekend.
Just published them just in time to drop off son at school to be tested.
I dropped him off near the school.
Now for some serious singing along in the car for a short drive...
(Which I have missed so much!)
I picked him up after a short while.
The smell of bread was so nice when I got back home.
Fingers crossed when I opened the lid of the bread maker.
Lovely!
My son had some bread and it tasted so nice!
The way it is going, will have to do some more tomorrow as everyone will need it for sandwiches.
Light lunch.
One subject on the news....
I had a look through the magazines that came in the post.
I really miss my coffee and chat at Webbs :(
Now to watch 2 episodes of Top of The Pops from 1990.
Oh dear, I watched Steve Miller Band on this episode.
Now the next episode!
I fast forwarded most of it, and actually watched the number one song!
I watched more the Eighties programme I taped off Sky Arts.It was all about the music videos in the 80s.
This episode was called: "Video Killed the Radio Star"
As soon as I heard a few seconds of one video.....I knew who it was and started singing along with it....
Tea at 3.
My son arrived late from school, as he had a covid test at to 3pm. Negative result.
He got into his red suit I bought for him last year for his end of year prom 2020.
It was cancelled due to Covid.
He must have a growth spurt as the jacket was a bit tight for him. Red does suit him!
He wants to me to find him another red jacket.
I have a quick search while I was making the tea.
Either not his size or far too expensive.
I will look again tomorrow...
I gave hubby a big sloppy 💋 when he came back from work.
Stir Fry Time.
We caught up on today's Judge Rinder episode.
Quick read of the today's newspaper.

Sunday 7 March 2021

Losing The Baking Bread Knack!

If it's good, they'll stop making it - Herbert Block
Welcome to my Sunday 👍
Mmm nice warm hug with brew.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
As we going for a little walk to clear out the cobwebs.
We had a little walk around the block.
Felt better for it.
We had a coffee.
I put on the breadmaker on...
Hubby gone on with putting the remaining Border up the stairs.
I meanwhile decluttered the living room.
The cooking magazines I found, were put on Facebook for free.
They were soon snapped up!
They were collected.
More decluttering to do!
Light lunchtime.
Hubby had run out of border to finish off in the toilet room.
I put yet another order in for another one and for more adhestive as I know he will run out of the last lot I bought!
At least the stairs looks good.
The yellow paint I bought from B&Q to paint the skirting up the stairs isn't in no more.
The trouble I had to find more yellow paint, I am not using the paint I used last week, as it gives off too many fumes.
Hubby packed his computer away.
He is going back to work tomorrow, full time in the office.
TIme for sewing machine to go back.....
Belated Tea at 3.
I got the bread out of the breadmaker...
Oh dear here we go again!
The middle dropped!!!
Puts the breadmaker back on for round 2.
There was some yellow paint on my son's blazer.
I got it off, but the smell of white spirit would not come out of the blazer, even after I washed it twice in the washing machine.
That went in the bin in a black bag.
I got him a navy M&S suit jacket.
He dug out the red suit I bought he was supposed to wear for his prom last year.
(It was cancelled due to Covid-19)
The jacket is getting a bit small, and so is the waistcoat.
He wasn't very happy about it.
He does look very good in the suit even though it was a bit tight on him.
I bought him 3 suits in last August to wear in Sixth Form.
He had to wear one of the other two for tomorrow.
I found a different coloured tie to what he normally wears to school .
He looks nice and smart in another suit and tie.
He getting really tall,
(Like my late dad who was 6ft 2 tall).
Time for tea!
Roast Pork Tea.
I finally located some yellow wood paint. I hopefully will get it this week.
That's the skirting done soon!
I dropped a email to the solictor dealing with the sale of my late dad's house. As reading in yesterday's i newspaper, there such a backlog of sales going through, it might go through by this June!
Won't be giving up any of my jobs just yet!
