Left It Out In The Rain!

The most dangerous food is wedding cake - James Thurber
Welcome to my wet and dry Thursday πŸ’¦
Breakfast and Brew.
The rain is coming in about 10am.
So hopefully I will stop dry in the morning!
Now out of the house...
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one πŸ’‹ before I left.
I put on my summer coat and summer hat.
Now to go and put on my lights...
Another one parking on the double yellow lines!
Puts on one set of lights.
Still no newspapers from the corner shop.
Found a book under the bench on the way back to Sexy Beast.
I collects my big stick.
Then I go and turn on my other lights.
Now to go to work....
I had to give some BOINGs out as some car drivers were just ignoring my STOP sign!
Nice of a lorry to park on the double yellow lines opposite me, causing the traffic problems for me!
One of the parents were telling me their child were have trouble going to sleep at night.
I recommended Pillow Sleep Spray.
Then it decides to rain halfway through my shift!
Pity I have the Summer coat and no hood!
Finished in one piece but damp!
Now to go down to Co-op for the newspaper.
Once I got it.
Back home I go.
Now to try and warm up with a cup of coffee.
I wrote two blog posts up to lunch.
I am a really need of a liquid lunch...
I spoke to hubby on his dinner break.
Now to do the afternoon shift.
I still wore my summer coat and summer hat.
As it wouldn't rain again would it?
I turned on one set of lights.
My friend got her cake from the Bakery.
There were some nice things for sale...
Nipped into the Charity Shop.
I got something which I need for Tuesday afternoon.
Says goodbye to the staff in the Charity shop.
Turns on my lights.
Goes and fetches my big stick.
I then go and a rabbit in the square with my friends.
It was time to say goodbye to my friends and to do my afternoon shift.
Oh dear, on and off with the rain.
One Buildbase lorry wasn't going to stop, and then decided to and had to slam on the brakes!
One car failed to stop and it had a BOING for its trouble..
Someone went past, that looked like one of hubby's relations. Spooky!
Finished in one piece.
Back home I go.
Cup of brew needed.
I found out all the things I need for tomorrow morning.
Then I got on with the tea.
Hubby came home and had a sloppy wet one πŸ’‹
Tea is served.
Yum!
I looked into today's newspaper.
We caught up with a couple episodes of Top of The Pops.
1987 and 1984.
I ordered some things for the upcoming cake competition.
I am not going to be like Richard Harris and leave it out in the rain.....;)
Sleep Tea Time.
Friday Feeling is back tomorrow 🎈

Tumbleweed Moment!

If you play with anything long enough it will break - Murphy's Law
Welcome to my action packed SaturdayπŸ™Œ
Breakfast with Brew.
We listened to "The Sounds of the 60s"
UK Top 3 from 1965
3: The Seekers - World Of Our Own
2: - Jackie Trent - Where Are You Now?
1: - Sandie Shaw - Long Live Love
Dressed.
I have two hours to get our fancy dress outfits done.
As it's Family Funday at hubby's work.
The theme is Witches and Wizards!
Hubby dropped off the youngest son, as he was playing active role in Redditch's First Pride Event.
Finally got the Witch and Wizard outfit done!
We had a light lunch before we left.
Off we go.....
Oh dear.
No one else had dressed up!
Everyone was in t-shirts and shorts!
Tumbleweed moment!
Oh well, I spent 2 hours making the outfits.
We are not suddenly leaving!
We made the most of the time dressed up as a
White Witch.
Hubby was a Wizard.
Some people said to my hubby,
"We had some balls, turning up, dressed up!"
"My balls are in my handbag!" I replied to that!
Nibble time.
We said goodbye to everyone and off home we went.
We got changed and picked up some magic bags.
After the fun we had.
Time to chill!
Sleep Tea Time.
It's time to sleep on top of the duvet cover!

Reaching For The Gardening Gloves....

Did you really pose for that calendar with nothing on?
"I had the radio on!" - Marilyn Monroe
Welcome to my Sunday Love πŸ’“
Nice big hug...
Brew with breakfast.
Up I got,
Thermal vest goes on.
Lots of chores to do...
Coffee machine goes on....
As does the breadmaker..
Now to get out for some fresh air...
Nips to the local garden centre.
Reminds of someone....
Meets someone in there, I used to work with.
She left the company, 3 weeks ago.
They still haven't replaced me after 2 years!
We loaded the plants in the car.
Then off to Co-op for some reduced food.
One of my friends who I talk to on weekday afternoons was just driving off in his car.
I shouted several times, he finally stopped.
I asked him,"If there were any bargains to be had."
"I didn't see any,"He said.
"I will see you next week, and have a good Sunday!" I said to him.
We get a trolley and look in there.
Loads of reduced food!
Loaded up car, and off to see my parents.
I taking away the pot of plants, as the lavender has died over the winter.
Back home we go.
Unloads the car of food and plants.
The bread was done!
We had sandwiches outside in the sunshine.
Afterwards, he did his thing.
I had some quiet time in the garden to pot and tidy up the garden!
Not bad for 3 hours gardening!
Meanwhile hubby had been getting on with the Roast Chicken Tea.
Yum.
We then caught up with the final episode of "Dragon's Den".
"Have I Got News For You!"
&
Final 2 episodes of the second season of "Fame"
Quick look in the newspaper.
