The Red Rim Has Steel Teeth!

Some mornings, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps - Emo Philips
Welcome aboard my Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Up early to do the Heardles:
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
Breakfast and Brew.
On goes the Thermal vest, as well as lots of layers.
Now to get out of the house.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before I leave.
On goes the winter coat, 2 winter hats, and winter gloves.
I gets the newspaper.
Now to get my big stick.
I goes and puts on the my lights.
The traffic lights have finally gone \o/
The moon is still out!
Now let's go to work 🍭
I had a few late brakers.
The blue mini driver which called me an "Arsehole" last year. Did what she normally does, and fails to stop, and goes underneath my big stick.
However, the red rim around my stick is wearing out and suddenly is showing steel teeth!
As she drove past my raised stick,
The steel teeth scraped her paintwork as she went past!
It was witnessed by several parents.
Still had to give out a few more BOINGs.
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Back home I go.
Coffee machine was put on.
Dishwasher put on.
Carrying on with some housework.....
But first time for a coffee!
Housework done up to lunchtime!
Liquid lunch.
No soup, just sandwiches↓
Now back out to do the afternoon shift.
On goes the winter coat, 2 hats and winter gloves.
One of my friends was here already to meet me.
So we go and put on my lights.
Collect my big stick and wait in the square for my other friend.
That low lying sun is a worry.
I told my friend about the encounter with the blue mini this morning.
He said,"If it comes up this afternoon, you can get the other side and she will have matching lines on each side!"
My other friend and we all had a good rabbit!
I said goodbye to friends.
The low lying sun in causing problems.
I gave out 4 BOINGs straight away as they drove under my big stick.
Few last minute brakers as well.
At least I finished in one piece!
Home time.
In need of brew.
I caught up with some blog posts.
Hubby came home and had a sloppy wet one 💋
Tea is served up.
Meat Free Stir-Fry
Yum.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 2010:

Doing It Up A Bit!

Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate - Murphy's Law
 Welcome to my Sunday 💓
It's going to well warm....
We did the Heardles.
Heardle 60s was:
My son's answers:
Dressed.
Hubby and younger son went off to have their hair cut.
The coffee maker went on.
Watered all the plants.
Coffee time.
Both come back.
Shorter hair now.
Hubby drops off kids who is helping out with someone's garden.
When he comes back, we load up his car of all the things for doing up his late dad's house.
When we get there.
All the windows and back door is opened.
First to make the second bedroom,
Child Friendly.
Coffee & Nibble time.
Now to do some work...
I tidied up outside the kitchen door.
I filled up 3 rubble bags of crap!
I was well pleased with my efforts.
(With next door watching I expect!)
Glad I got that bit done.
As it was getting well warm outside.
The top half of the garden will have to be done another time, as I sweated enough doing the bottom half of the garden!
I finished doing up the bathroom.
Rose petals in the bath.
(Not just any rose petals, they are M&S rose petals)
Light lunch.
Hubby goes back to painting.
Now to tidy up the kitchen once more.
Now to change the colour of the kitchen units.
Goes outside for some fresh air...
It really needs to chairs to sit on out here.
Watch this space!
Right we were done.
Finally back home.
Crumpets with grated cheese for tea.
Yum!
A look again in the weekend's newspaper.

Nice To Be Common!

There is nothing in the world more reassuring than an unhappy lottery winner - Tony Parsons
Welcome to my Hump of the Week  🐫
At least the sun is shining and the temperature is not as hot as it is going to get in the following 7 days...😰
Heardle Time...
Heardle 60s:
My son's Heardle answers⮇
Breakfast with brew time.
Dressed...
Now to leave the house.
Long blue summer dress time!
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one 😘
I go and get my newspaper.
On goes the summer coat.
&
Big Big Sunglasses.
Now to turn on my lights...
Lights turned on.
Now let's go to work....
Now for the fun part.
One emergency stop by a Skoda.
3 BOINGs on cars not stopping.
I spoke to one parent who I won't be crossing over in September as their child is going to another school.
I asked: "If they are looking forward to it?"
The response was:
The child has turned down to do Spanish (as the reason was,all the commoners go to Spain!) and French. The next languages they are doing on German and Latin!
(I must be a commoner as I took Spanish at school and loved it!)
Finished in one piece.
I drove down to the Co-op to get some more bits.
My trolley coin dropped from my hand and went under Sexy Beast
I had to get it later and got a basket instead.
When I returned to Sexy Beast, I reversed him, and had to get out and retrieve the trolley coin!
Off to Hughes to collect a parcel DPD dropped off.
Nice cooker, pity it's too big!
Then back home.
My next door neighbour has had a new boiler fitted!
Pity our boiler is now 16 years old and
quote,"As long as we can get parts for it,
It doesn't need replacing!" I was told last time when I asked if I was having a new one!
Coffee machine went on.
I brought in some washing that had dried.
Will sort that out later.
Now for coffee!
Now to get the chicken and veg pies made for tonight.
Someone knocked the door asking if they could take the old boiler away,
I did say to knock on next door's door to ask.
But as normal, they just took it!
Pies were done and put in the oven, ready for later.
Now for a early light lunch.
Now out for part two!
Puts on my summer coat,
Turns on my lights.
Sees the two local CSPOs.
They crossed the road, to avoid me asking if they have gone to see that woman driver in the green Land Rover who tried to run me over yet?
Gets a ice lolly,
Fetches big stick.
Now into the park I go...
I only had one friend come for a rabbit.
We walked over to where I was due to start.
I said "See you tomorrow!"
The red BMW did its normal thing, and put its toe down and sped off up the road.
Still had to hand out the BOINGs due to cars not stopping for my big stick!
Finished in one piece.
Back home.
Cold drink time.
Put the oven on...
Got yesterday's blog post wrote.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet one 😘
Pies are ready!
Yum!
Now to look into today's newspaper.
