Moving The Friday Feeling About!

Money is exactly like sex: you think of nothing else if you don't have it and other things if you do - James Baldwin
Welcome to my Friday Feeling 🎈
Up early as we have lots of things to do!
Headle Time!
Headle 60s.
My results.
Breakfast and Brew.
On goes the thermal vest.
The rain has returned.
Hubby is hiring a van and taking our younger son to collect somethings from his late dad's house.
I meanwhile am going for coffee and yak!
I gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋
I got the newspaper on the way.
Looked in Hobbycraft.
Now for some coffee, chat and nibble.
I had a good chat.
One good thing about visiting,
I didn't buy nothing at all!
Said goodbye to my friend and went home.
Hubby had come back with loads of stuff.
While he went back for more things.
I put the rug down in our living room!
Now to add the coffee table!
I started on with the tea, while hubby returned the Hire van.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 when he came back.
Tea is served.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
US No.1 on this day in 1967:
The Beatles - Hello, Goodbye
Still have some moving about to do tomorrow...
That's one half of the living room done \o/
Sleep Tea time.
Now to burn some excess energy in bed with hubby!

The Last One Of 2022!

“I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store, and he asked for my autograph.” — Shirley Temple
Welcome to my Friday Feeling 🎈
We got up early, it still being cold,
We did today Heardles:
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
Time for breakfast and brew.
Thermal vest and layers went on.
Now to uncover the Sexy Beast.
Still freezing cold!
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋💋
Trying to park Sexy Beast was fun.
The normal car park wasn't open, there was one parking space left in the car park opposite. One car was trying to reverse out, so I did a 3 point turn to let her out, so then I went back up the road and did another 3 point turn to come back down the road, however she parked on the side of the road with her back door of the her car open and I couldn't get past it!
She begrudgingly shut the back door for me to past!
I parked up, got on my Winter coat, gloves and two hats and went to get my newspaper!
Comes back and the gates to the car park are open.
Moves Sexy Beast into the car park.
I picks up my big stick and goes and turns on my lights.
Turns on my lights.
Now let's get to work...
Here we go again.
The first child I tried to cross the road, the car drove straight under my stick.
Boing for him.
The following van tried to tell me with his hands for me to take my big stick out of the way of his van!
Boing he had for that as well.
Lots of tanks as well!
On a postive note, I was given lots of presents, cards and kind words.
Lots of last minute braking to cope with!
At least I finshed in one piece!
Back to Sexy Beast I go.
Back home I go.
The coffee machine has given up the ghost :(
Back to normal coffee for now :(
Soup maker goes on.
I write one blog post up until the light lunch.
Now to do the last day of work!
On goes the Winter coat, winter gloves and two hats.
Oh dear, we have the low lying sun back again.
Turns on my lights.
Chats with one friend. My other friend arrived 10 minutes later.
Rabbit time.
I wished my friends a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.
Now to survive the low lying sun.
Told one parent to be careful not fall over the bag of presents that was at the top of the stairs.
They said, "I was special!"
One white car just drove under my stick at 5 m.p.h!
BOING!
One BMW driver on the otherside just looked at me as it drove straight under my stick!
BOING!
One nice parent gave me a present and thanked me for doing a good job :)
I wished the parents and children a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!
Finished in one piece.
Goes back to Sexy Beast.
For the last time 2022.
Back home.
Now to sort out my presents.
I put them with my other presents that need to be wrapped up.
Time for a brew.
Hubby came back and had a sloppy wet one 💋
We had a light tea.
Yum!
Now to look into the newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1955:
Dickie Valentine - Christmas Alphabelt

Never Mind The Presents!

"I've spent 40 years telling people I never worked in a cocktail bar!" - Susan from The Human League
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Last day of being on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Nice warm hug to start the day with.
Brew with breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on .
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he leaves.
(He is going to his Aunt's funeral with his dad later on this afternoon)
Put's on one winter hat and one glove.
Puts on my lights.
Now to walk down to my spot.
Now for the fun to start!
Already had 3 BOINGs on 3 car roofs as they went under my stick and failed to stop.
Soon the presents were arriving.
I gave the grieving mum who lost her dad, yesterday a present I received to her for her kids for Christmas.
She will a phone call when her dad's funeral will be.
I got chatting to a mum over my time.
Texts my hubby, then I got chatting to the man whose hand is down slowly going after his op.
His wife and he is going to a Christmas meal on Christmas Day for £85 each.
(He is having second thoughts about going)
He also is having trouble with his £500 Spin Bike he bought off Amazon. The firm in Japan where he got it from is not being helpful about something being matter with it.
His wife rides 7 miles a day on it.
He ride 11 miles on it a day.
I can barely do 3 miles on mine!
I forgot I was meeting a friend for coffee and chat.
I wished him a good Christmas.
Now to meet my friend.
Met her in the car park.
Walked up to the coffee shop.
All the tables were all booked.
The owner did squeeze us in.
Now for coffee and nibble.
Once we finished,
Off to look around the Charity Shop.
Nice Russian Doll.
Said goodbye to my friend.
While on the way home, a red car came up by the side of me at the road traffic island.  As I pulled off, it passed me and then it undertook me and I followed it all the way to Ipsley Pool.
I got the newspaper before I got home.
Now for some light lunch.
With another coffee.
Hubby phoned up to tell me he was given the wrong time for his Aunt's Funeral.
He was told 1.30pm, in fact it was 11.30am.
Great!
Now out with my younger son to do the final shift.
We got stuck behind a tractor doing 20 m.p.h, and no where to overtake it.
Puts on my winter hat and gloves.
Puts on my lights.
Now to have a rabbit with my two friends.
I wished them a good weekend.
Now to start the final shift before I break up for Christmas Holidays.
One 4x4 nearly got his windscreen tap and cracked. One Silver taxi nearly had the same fate.
I was given some presents to cap off my Friday :)
The same 4x4 drove past me, and then parked up on double yellow lines for ten minutes.
Home time for us now.
Back next year.
Hubby was back before us.
Put all my presents together.
Much needed brew.
Then I wrote yesterday's blog post.
Hubby made the tea.
What's behind the Advent Calender door?
I had a look in today's newspaper..
Sir Thomas Hicks, OBE , known professionally as Tommy Steele, is an English entertainer, regarded as Britain's first teen idol and rock and roll star. After being discovered at the 2i's Coffee Bar, he recorded a string of hit singles including "Rock with the Caveman" (1956) and the chart-topper "Singing the Blues" (1957). Steele's rise to fame was dramatised in The Tommy Steele Story (1957), the soundtrack of which was the first British album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart. He starred in further musical films including The Duke Wore Jeans (1958) and Tommy the Toreador (1959), the latter spawning the hit "Little White Bull". By the 1960s, Steele was an all-round entertainer, appearing in West End theatre productions and starring in musical films including Half a Sixpence (1967), The Happiest Millionaire (1967) and Finian's Rainbow (1968). He is also a songwriter, author and sculptor. He remains active as a performer and was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2021.
He is 85 years old 🎈
David  Harman, known professionally as Dave Dee was an English singer-songwriter, musician, A&R manager, fundraiser and businessman. He was the frontman for the 1960s pop band Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich.
He would have been 80 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 67 in 2009

"Goldfinger", 3rd James Bond film, starring Sean Connery and Honor Blackman premieres in London in 1964
My son asked me if I have used the "My Soundtrack" on Amazon Music.
I said no.
He then grumbled on the songs that was on his Soundtrack.
"Who are that band Gilbert O' Sullivan?"
"It isn't them, is he!"
"Next they play Squeeze, they only had 2 hits!"
He said.
"My favourite not in that two?" I asked.
"Not a chance !" He said.
Then he moaned about Dr Hook!
I will have to see what is on my soundtrack!
We watched "Have I Got News For You."
Now to enjoy the last of the Friday Feeling in bed 🎈
