Writing, Spinning, & Need Of A Strong Coffee!

Everything takes longer than it should except sex - Murphy's Law
Welcome aboard my Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Nice warm hug to start Monday with!
Brew with breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
Sexy Beast looks like a need a scrape.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one before I leave.
The sun might be coming up.
It's still freezing!
On goes 2 winter hats and the big big gloves.
I put on my lights.
Now to see how many tanks I can spot this morning...
Only saw two, is better than what I normally see...
Nice the normal white car on the otherside doesn't stop for me, she might be running out of luck soon!
Still had to do a few more BOINGs!
At least I finished in one piece!
I picks up the newspaper on the way home.
Puts on the coffee maker.
Chops some veggies and put on the soup maker.
Coffee time.
While I had some spare time.
Time to reply to the American Prison Pen Pal who sent me 2 letters last week.
I wrote him 6 pages.
That should keep him happy :)
The soup was ready to dish up.
I had a Labour leaflet pushed through the door.
Didn't knock the door.
Only hear the Councillors when they want to be re-electioned!
Dished up my soup.
Chicken,Leak,and Parsnip.
My new arier arrived.
I got in touch with Dunelm for my refund.
It is now been SIX  weeks since I put the order in. Waiting 3 weeks, and then cancelled it.
Now the excuses pile up:
1: The Manager at my local store hasn't received my order to give me a refund.
2: The IT department are working on it to find my order.
3: Today's excuse, is the only member of their IT team is now on ANNUAL LEAVE and I have to wait for them to come back!
I got sick of this utter crap and wrote a email to their CEO. If I don't hear nothing from him, I will go further up the food chain!
Now off to do my afternoon shift.
Next door's carers had to move their car again.
On goes one winter hat and lightweight gloves.
I got talking to my friend who has had his hand op the other week. He had come back from Stratford upon Avon on the bus and dropped his earing aid. He was just on the way to the bus stop when I got chatting.
I told his wife, "Since I have been wearing a facemask, I can't wear earrings, as they don't stop long in my ear lobes!"
Puts on my lights.
Now for a little rabbit with my friends.
The sun kept appearing from behind the clouds.
I said goodbye to my friends.
Now to have some fun 🍭
Oh dear, had 3 straight cars go under my stick.
BOING x 3
Some cars on the underside had to stop very quick!
At least I finished in one piece!
Hometime
Now to get changed into the pink lyrca!
I watched the last of The Irishman while doing my spinning.
Then onto the abs machine...
(I'm going to hurt tomorrow!)
Cools down.
Now to make the Meat Free Stir Fry.
Yum.
Out comes the Breadmaker.
I can't find my lovely Breadmaking book.
So from memory in it all goes...
On for 4 hours!
Now to look in today's newspaper.
Matt Monro (born Terence Edward Parsons, ) was an English singer who became one of the most popular entertainers on the international music scene during the 1950s and 1970s. Now for some Sleep Tea.
The bread came out alright!
Found my good Bread Maker book as well.
Hubby's team came back from 2-0 down to 2-2.
Even though Hubby lost his match on the pink.
I climbed into that warm bed...and fell off to sleep like a log!

Sunday 16 January 2022

Finding Loads Of Things!

The happiest time of anyone's life is just after the first divorce -
J.K Galbraith.
Welcome to my Sunday 💓
Nice hug to start Sunday with.
Brew with Breakfast.
A big tune started on the radio.
I just had to join in...
Sung nice and loud!
Starts off Sunday with a big song!
Now to add the layers....
Now to get some fresh air!
First stop was to check the tyre pressures.
Next stop, Pick up a take-away coffee.
Fill up Sexy Beast and grab a newspaper.
Off to see my mum and dad next.
Blue milk added :)
Got one of the hats I bought yesterday, on.
At least it's keeping the head warm.
I had a quick chat with my mum and dad.
It will be the second anniversary of my dad passing away on the 5th February ;'(
Gets back home.
Washing machine goes on.
Now to carry on with sorting out the cupboards in the kitchen.
Loads of things found the cupboards.
Somethings were put in there, when I first moved in, over 10 years ago!
Hubby washed out all the shelves.
Once the things have dried after being washed,
They were put back in.
The measuring jug went in the cupboard with the other measuring jugs.
Once 3 loads from the washing machine had been done, the tumble drier went on.
We finished off the soup that was left over from yesterday.
Afterwards, hubby went to check his tyres, and fill up for the week.
I meanwhile, had two blog posts to wrote.
The duck went in the oven for tea.
Once finished my blogging,
Tea was ready.
For such a big duck, there was hardly any meat!
We had sweet potato mash, one son suddenly decided he likes it now!
(Can't win!!!)
I had a look in today's newspaper.

Wednesday 1 December 2021

Soggy Glove Time!

A dress has no meaning unless it makes a man want to take it off - Francoise Sagan.
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice warm hug to start the Hump with.
Brew with Breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
(Several layers!)
I gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I leave.
It's the first of December.
Santa Hat month!
On goes 2 winter hats and gloves.
Turns on my lights.
Now's let go to work...🍭
I was walking to my spot, when two High School teenagers were trying to cross over the road.
No cars would stop.
I got to my spot, and lifted my stick in the air.
The traffic stopped!
Perhaps this will carry on....
And it did.
Not one car went under my stick, all stopped!
It must be the sun's rays doing something!
I finished in one piece.
I nipped into Co-op.
I had no problems like last week.
Then I got the newspaper and next door's magazine.
Back home.
I put up my Advent Calender.
The first tea is:
My friend came to enjoy coffee, cake and yak.
We had a good chat, and waved goodbye.
She came back 5 minutes later as she forgot to get the peas I had put in my freezer.
I needed something hot for my lunch.
That's better!
There were some dark clouds, but I didn't think I would need to wear those sexy lumo trousers.
To play safe, I put on my boots, with 2 winter hats and gloves.
I put on my lights and walked back for a yak with my 2 friends.
One offered me a mince pie.
I said no.
The other friend offered me a doughnut.
I had to say no.
I laughed and said:
"I don't want the 5th chin returning thanks!"
Then I saw the dark cloud...
10 minutes before I was due to start,
The rain started.
We got under some shelter before I was due to start.
Once it was time, I said goodbye to my friends.
The rain kept coming.
All the car drivers going past looked at me getting wet.
Getting soggy gloves by the minute!
At least the car drivers were stopping for me.
The rain stopped just before I finished.
Hometime.
On the way home, one car behind for half a mile didn't put on his headlights on until the car behind him kept flashing him.
Then he decided to sit on my arse the rest of the way!
I was glad to get home.
It had started to rain again.
I still covered up Sexy Beast, as the temperatures were going to fall during the early hours and a frost was due!
My kids then told me about the fun of the Sixth Form Quiz they both entered.
The younger son had got all the Christmas Songs and the artists, but the teacher wouldn't accept them as his team won the previous round.
I was proud of them both for all of their answers to the questions.
(I am glad I keep playing Christmas songs in the house!)
 Hot Chocolate time!
I put the tea in the oven.
Now to get yesterday's blog post wrote.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 when he came home.
Tea was dished up.
Posted blog post.
Now for a little look in today's newspaper.

He would have been 91 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 54 in 1985.
While hubby did his working out on the abs machine, and had a shower.
I carried on reading the book about the filming of The Godfather.
Sleep Tea Time.
Another 100 pages read.
Only hoping the sunshine will be back tomorrow.
Soggy gloves had just about dried out......
