Watch Out For That Sun!

Pissing in his shoe keeps no man warm for long
- Icelandic proverb.
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐪
I had a nice warm hug :)
Brew with Breakfast.
The thermal vest and many layers went on.
Good job I covered up Sexy Beast last night!
I gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋
Now to leave the warm house...
It's freezing!
On goes two winter hats, big winter gloves.
Now to walk up and turn on my lights.
Turns on my lights.
Now to walk on back down the road to my spot.
It's cold and frosty.
Two cars had to perform emergancy stops!
Three cars go straight under my stick like limbo dancers!
It doesn't help when car drivers don't scrape the car before they sat off...
Tank drivers I call them!
One woman I talk to was saying where her son is , in South Korea, it's -15c!
I laughed, and replied:
"I won't never moan about -2c again!"
I survived the morning!
I move Sexy Beast.
I post the letter to my Prison Inmate in the USA.
Then it's into the Co-op...
Plenty of reduced veg to make soup with this week!
The self-service till kept going off with all the reduced items I had bought!
Then onto get my newspaper and next door's magazine.
Now home:
Coffee machine goes on.
Unpacks the shopping.
Now to get tonight's tea ready.
Pork Chops pan fried.
Stuffing added to them.
Put in oven ready for later.
All the vegetables put in their saucepans.
Now I need that coffee!
I wrote yesterday's blog post all the way to dinnertime.
Now to reheat the soup we made last night.
Sweet Potato, Carrots, Onions and Parsnip.
The sun was out, and that normally means low lying sun!
Big Big Sunglasses go on.
Two winter hats and gloves go on.
The low lying sun is back!
I turn on my lights.
Now for a little rabbit with my friends!
When it was time to start.
I said goodbye to my friends.
Now for the fun to start!
One grey car that never stops, kept going again under my stick it went!
A green car done the same.
My friend returned with his dog for the last 10 minutes.
The red car from Monday returned, and kept going under my stick again, and then turned left further up the road!
At least I finished in one piece.
My friend, his dog and me went back to my car.
While chatting, we noticed something up in the sky!
I said to my friend:
"They finally found us!"
He laughed.
He said goodbye, and walked home with his dog.
Home time for me.
I covered up Sexy Beast.
Put the bins out for tomorrow.
Put the tea on.
Now to carry on watching a good film, I missed yesterday.
Cup of brew time.
Time to dish up the tea!
Yum Yum!
4 empty plates afterwards.
Time to look into today's newspaper.
John William "Long John" Baldry  was an English-Canadian blues singer, musician and voice actor. In the 1960s, he was one of the first British vocalists to sing the blues in clubs and shared the stage with many British musicians including the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Before achieving stardom, Rod Stewart and Elton John were members of bands led by Baldry. He enjoyed pop success in 1967 when "Let the Heartaches Begin" reached No. 1 in the UK, and in Australia where his duet with Kathi McDonald "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" reached No. 2 in 1980.
He would have been 81 years old.🎈
He sadly died aged 64 in 2005.
Randy VanWarmer (also written as Vanwarmer, Van Warmer) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. His biggest success was the pop hit, "Just When I Needed You Most". It reached No. 8 on the UK Singles Chart in September 1979 after peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks earlier that year.
He died on this day aged 48 in 2004.
Barbra Streisand was #1 on the Billboard Easy Listening singles chart with the song, 'The Way We Were' in 1974.
Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes was the #1 song on the Billboard charts today in 1980.
I went for a hot shower, and left hubby watching his Tales of The Unexpected boxset.
Now to settle down to watch the news and the newspaper review.
Sleep Tea Time.
Now to enjoy some warm hump 🐪

Living The High Life!

There are three things I've to do: opera, rodeo, and porno
- Bea Arthur
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice warm hug and 💋 to start the Friday.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Hubby has a day off work...
But he won't be living the high life with me,
He is cleaning his dad's kitchen, bathroom and living room.
He goes and gets the newspaper....
I put on the kettle...
First coffee of the day.
Then hubby goes off to collect some cleaning things from Dunelm then onto his dad's house.
I meanwhile got down to write yesterday's blog post.
My younger son's new matress arrived for his bed↓↓
They drag the old mattress outside in the back garden.
I will have to pay the Council £18 to take it away next week....
The sun might be out,
but it ain't half cold in this house!
I had to drop off son at his job.
(For doing all this running about, he was paying for the coffee!)
Out comes the big ones..
Gets 1 mocha, and 2 hot chocolates.
I drop off son and comes back home.
Only for the lid of my mocha to come off,
The mocha leaks into the bag,
I just get the bag out of the car before it pours out everywhere out of the car!
Just enough to drink...↓
Once I tied the pom poms I made yesterday to my pom pom wreath.
I got down to make some more.
I now have another job interview tomorrow \o/
Tea at 3.
I had to drop off younger son to help with delivering leaflets..
Big big sunglasses went on again..
It didn't help a BMW nearly took out my driver's side after trying to pull out of a side road.
Didn't I half give him a look for that!
Trying to find somewhere to park to drop my son off safely was another ball ache!
Waited, and waited for a parking space...
Finally got one!
Back home...
Hubby has spent 8 hours cleaning his dad's house.....
(It took me 6 hours to clean my dad's house when he was alive, and all I got off my dad was:
"You haven't hoovered the stairs!"
Which I replied to:"What did your last slave die of? Oh yes, she is six foot under!")
Hubby was getting takeaway Indian meals for us on the way home...
While I was waiting,
I looked in today's newspaper:
Sir Peter  Ustinov was an English actor, writer, and filmmaker. He was a fixture on television talk shows and lecture circuits for much of his career. An intellectual and diplomat, he held various academic posts and served as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and president of the World Federalist Movement.
Ustinov was the winner of numerous awards during his life, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTA Awards for acting, and a Grammy Award for best recording for children, as well as the recipient of governmental honours from, amongst others, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He also displayed a unique cultural versatility which frequently earned him the accolade of a Renaissance man. Miklós Rózsa, composer of the music for Quo Vadis and of numerous concert works, dedicated his "String Quartet No. 1, Op. 22" (1950) to Ustinov
He would have been a 100 years old today🎈
He sadly died aged 82 in 2004

Bobby Vinton  is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. As a teen idol, he became known as 'The Polish Prince', as his music paid tribute to his Polish heritage. One of his most popular songs is "Blue Velvet" (a cover of the 1951 song recorded by Tony Bennett) which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963 and No. 2 in the UK in 1990.
He is 86 years old.
Mary  O'Brien OBE, professionally known as Dusty Springfield, was a British singer and record producer whose career extended from the late 1950s to the 1990s. With her distinctive mezzo-soprano sound, she was a significant singer of blue-eyed soul, pop and dramatic ballads, with French chanson, country and jazz also in her repertoire. During her 1960s peak she ranked among the most successful British female performers on both sides of the Atlantic and her image – marked by a peroxide blonde bouffant/beehive hairstyle, heavy makeup (thick black eyeliner and eye shadow) and evening gowns, as well as stylised, gestural performances – made her an icon of the Swinging Sixties. She is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. International polls have cited Springfield as one of the finest female popular singers of all time.
She would have been 82 years old 🎈
She sadly died aged 59 in 1999.

Gerald Rafferty  was a Scottish rock singer-songwriter. His solo hits in the late 1970s included "Baker Street", "Right Down the Line" and "Night Owl", as well as "Stuck in the Middle with You", which was recorded with the band Stealers Wheel in 1973.
He would have been 74 years old 🎈
He died in 2011 aged 63
