Sad Songs Say So Much!

I want to die with a smile on my face.Hopefully, it won't be mine - Matt Vance.
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐪
I hope the sun will be out soon...
Heardle Time:
Heardle 60s:
My results!
Brew with breakfast.
Dressed.
Now to go out for a little ride...
Drops off son at work.
Nice view from the near-by car park.
As we were in the shopping centre a bit too early.
Nothing was open!
Sat down and waited.
No i newspaper in WHSmith.
Had to go to another newsagents to get it!
We looked in a Charity Shop and got some nice vinyl:
Barron Knights album
Emile Ford and the Checkmates single of:
Keith Michell - Captain Beaky.
The Dooleys - Wanted.
Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin - Separate Lives.
Nice boxsets too↓
Nice bib in Poundland!
Coming out of Poundland.
There was a sad song playing that brought back memories of my late dad's funeral.
Ordered a coffee in Costa Coffee.
Hubby went into the Bank.
Another sad song was then played.
Then the tears started coming!
Hubby was quite shocked to see me all upset.
It must be the sad hour for songs in the shopping centre.
We finished the coffee and went back to the car park.
Back home to unpack the bargains!
Wednesday Boost Time!
I got changed.
Hubby sorted out his side of the bedroom.
Time to paint the front of the house.
It didn't help, I ran out of paint to finish it.
Ordered some more.
Looks nice!
Late lunch/tea
I looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1961:
John Leyton - Johnny Remember Me
UK No.1 on this day in 1963:
The Angels - My Boyfriend' s Back
Couldn't watch any telly, as the remote wasn't working, and a lot of blue language was appearing because the tv wasn't playing ball!
Sleep Tea time instead.
Busy day tomorrow.....
Sorting more things out!

Time For A Stroke Of A .....

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening - Alexander Woollcott
Welcome to my Thursday....
I'm still shell shocked after yesterday afternoon...
Nice warm hug to start the day.
Brew with breakfast.
No thermal vest needed either :)
Just checked what the weather is going to be today...
I hope not!
I gave hubby a sloppy wet one.
I gets the newspaper.
I ask if the man from yesterday, survived.
He didn't :(
Plus someone moaned on how I just stood there and didn't direct the traffic!
Now to slip into the winter coat.
I left off the gloves....
I turned on my lights.
Now to get to get the shift started...
It was a bit of a solemn mood after yesterday.
Everyone asked what when on, and did the man survive?
One car stopped just inches away from my backside.
One of the parents commented on it.
The Woman Driver put down her window and said, "Sorry!"
Still people were asking about yesterday.
Few BOINGs were carried out as well.
At least I survived this shift.
Back home.
Picks up my jar of coffee, and voting card.
I vote, then I go around and see my friend for a coffee, chat and a stroke of the dog!
Felt better afterwards!
Hometime.
Someone lying the bird food...
My new net curtain arrived for the front door.
Liquid lunch time.
Then back out.
On goes the summer coat.
I put on my lights.
Now for a bit of rabbit with my friends.
The man that shouted at me yesterday, got out of a taxi and came over to speak to me.
He was trying to say sorry for shouting at me.
He told us, the man that died yesterday was a friend of his, and he was the last one to see him alive, and he was holding up the blanket so people couldn't see his friend receiving CPR off people and shouting "Can that Lollipop lady please stop the traffic coming down," was not aimed at me???
His friend wasn't feeling too well, got on his bike at 3.15pm just up the road from me, fell off his bike, banged his head on the kerb, and had a heart attack. In the end, there was 5 ambulances turn up and the air ambulance, and after given 7 shocks by the defib and CPR he didn't make it.
It was time to start, so I said goodbye to my friends and started the final shift of the day.
One parent said to me, his daughter looked around the corner to make sure it wasn't me in the road!
Some of the parents were still asking if I was alright after yesterday.
Still gave out some BOINGs!
Finished in one piece.
Hometime.
Much needed brew needed!
Now to get the tea sorted for tonight!
Hubby came back and had a sloppy wet one.
Now for tea!
Cottage Pie.
Yum.
Afterwards, to look in today's newspaper:

I Only Went In To Get One Plant!

Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before  -  Mae West.
Welcome to my busy Saturday ⚘
I got bit later than we normally get up during the week.
We caught the last hour of Sound of the 60s.
Brew with Breakfast followed.
Dressed.
Then to take son to work.
We popped into  Omega for a chat and a coffee.
We nipped into Boomarang and got two bargains.
One ideal present for hubby's dad who likes Blackpool.
We blew up the balloons to put on my dad's grave for Father's Day.
(It will be a nice surprise for brother's went they come up tomorrow to see him!)
Puts them on my dad's grave.
All ready for tomorrow.
At least it brightens up the grave yard!
Back home for a light lunch in the garden.
Then we went to pick up our son from work.
We carried onto Homebase in Bromsgrove.
Compost, reduced plants and pots....
Loads of bargains.
I told one woman while we were pushing the trollies back to the car;
"I only went into the store to get one plant!"
As the kids and hubby loaded up his car full of plants. I carried on talking and they went home to unload the car.
I was still talking when he came back.
(Nearly an hour later, I said goodbye to the woman, who I had never met until today!)
Off to Aldi to get a drink, my throat was all dry from all that talking!
Anyone fancy a mince pie in June?
Nice drink and nibble↓
We got home to unload our bargains.
Next to visit Co-Op for some more bargains.
Lots of things I can cook with on the reduced stand.
Back home to unpack.
Now to use some of the compost up to replant the plants I bought earlier....
Time to use those Diffusers I bought from Aldi↓
Now for a nice bit of tea.
Now to catch up with 4 weeks of Top of The Pops from 1991.
