Down Came The Rain!

Flattery hurts no one - so long as you don't inhale -
Adlai Stevenson
Welcome to my Thursday ⛆
Nice hug to start the day 💓
Heardle time!
Heardle 60s:
My son's Heardle answers↓
Breakfast and Brew.
The dress I saw on Sunday.
I found it, ordered it, and it arrived yesterday.
Time to show it off!
Time to leave.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one.
I go and buy today's newspaper.
Then I put on my summer coat.
On the way to turn on my lights.
Someone was having Sky Glass delivered.
Turns on my lights...
Let's get ready to go to work 🍭
Lots of BOINGs given out.
Few cars had to brake at the last minute.
Those dark clouds starting to appear.
Glad I finished in one piece.
Home time.
I put the coffee maker on.
Then watered all my plants in my garden.
Time for coffee...
Then I found out the paperwork needed for my boss, who is coming out this afternoon for it.
Wrote one blog post before lunch.
Then out to do Part 2.
Puts on my summer coat.
Turns on my lights,
Turns on my lights,
Buys lolly,
Fetches big stick.
Sits in the square to suck on lolly.
One friend arrived.
It started to rain.
We get undercover.
The rain comes down really heavy.
My other friend joins us undercover.
All the mothers going to pick up their kids were getting wet in the rain.
Then the rain finishes five minutes before I was due to start.
I say goodbye to my friends.
My boss arrives.
I gives her my paperwork.
While she fills it in, she sees what I have to put up with.
When she finished with paperwork, she stands there, and watches 3 cars driving straight under my stick.
"Do car drivers do that all the time?"
She asked.
"Yes they do."
At least I finished in one piece.
My boss gives me some information to read.
I say goodbye to her.
Home time.
In need of a brew.
I put the pies in the oven.
Veg goes in the saucepan.
Hubby has a sloppy wet one when he comes home.
The pie is served.
The kids go off to a Labour Party Meeting.
I look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1979:

USA No.1 on this day in 1979:

Wrote two blog posts.

Nice Trousers!

What's the fastest car in the world?
A rental car - P.J.O'Rourke
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
Had a warm hug.
Brew with breakfast.
The thermal vest went on.
Now to get some fresh air...
I gave hubby a wet sloppy one before I left.
I went and got my newspaper and next door's magazine before I got on my lollipop coat.
Got back, had one winter coat and no gloves on.
Puts on my lights.
Now for the fun to start...🍭
Back to normal again...
Cars weren't stopping.
Out comes the big stick to give them BOINGs for not stopping.
Plenty of waves off car drivers while I watching go past past.
The blue mini driver who I have had trouble with in the past! Decides not to stop when I put my big stick out, goes underneath it, due to queue in front, she stopped in the  KEEP CLEAR space.
Great!
The parent I was trying to cross over, goes  up to her driver's window and taps his head and mouths something to her.
When he gets back on the road,
I remind him that she was the one that mouthed "Arsehole" to me in December.
Besides that little bit of fun.
I finished in one piece.
I got chatting to one of my ex-customers who I used to deliver their mail too. I have a chat with him when he walks down and gets his newspaper.
They are celebrating their 47th Wedding Anniversary today.
"Well done!" I said.
Their kids paid for a nice hotel stay in a hotel just outside the village.
"Enjoy the rest of this special day,"I said.
I went down to Co-op to get a few things.
Couldn't get down one aisle, as they were cleaning the fridges.
Got my bits I wondered.
Got home....
Coffee maker went on.
Put the flowers I bought for myself in a vase.
Loaded up the soup maker.
Now for coffee.
Then done some meditating until lunch.
Light lunch time....
I put the bins out ready for tomorrow.
I was in two minds to put on my sexy lumo trousers, as some forecasts says no rain and some said heavy showers.
Sod it, the trousers are going on!
Now for round 2.
I managed to get the last space in the hall car park. PHEW!
Puts on one winter hat, but leaves off the gloves.
Turns on my lights.
Those clouds don't look too good.
Rabbit Time!
My boss arrived for me to sign some forms.
She went off for a coffee until I started.
I said goodbye to my friends and started my shift.
A few cars had to have the BOINGs as they went straight under my stick.
My boss looked at my trousers and said:
"Have I given you them trousers?"
"No,I bought them myself!"
"Nice trousers!" She replied.
Shortly halfway through my shift,
the rains came down very heavy!
I forgot to put on my gloves....
Hometime, I said goodbye to my boss and off to Sexy Beast I went in the pouring rain.
I got out of the sexy lumo trousers.
Time for a brew!
Put the tea in the oven.
Gave the living room a tidy up.
Hubby came back and he had a sloppy wet one.
We had a nice cheese and cauliflower Quiche for tea.
A new series dropped on Netflix.
We watched the whole 2 episodes.
Great series.
Now to look into today's newspaper.

"Are you sure?" - Rod Laver
Welcome to a warm Tuesday 🌈
Hugs with brew.
Breakfast.

Gets one son up for school.
Now to give out my wet sloppy 💋💋💋
Off out:
All dressed in blue with a dash of pink socks!
The Summer Coat went on.
Tree pic.
Now for the fun to start ....🎈
There was a quick shower for 30 seconds,
Then the sun came out...
No sports cars this morning.
Still a few cars want me to do BOING BOING on their car roofs for not stopping.
I was watching those dark clouds coming over..
I finished in one piece.
Gets coat off, and then it rains!
I popped into the Newsagents to get today's newspaper...
The man was finishing off a conversation...to which I helped him finish off with bouts of laughter.
He said:"She dropped her knickers and bent over, and asked me to look at her piles!"
I replied walking past him:
"If I drop knickers, fancy seeing mine???"
The shop roared into laughter...
I collected my newspaper.
"That's a nice hat, that would suit me,"He said.
"They come in two colours and are on Amazon, I got mine from Bromsgrove!" I replied.
Back home.
The carpet is coming up later....
Coffee Time.
Now to sort out the hallway!
That's better!
Light lunch!
Now for the afternoon shift of Lollipop.
I put on my Summer Coat...
Walk up to put on my lights.
Those clouds don't look nice.
I chat to one of the parents and the rain comes down. I go back to Sexy Beast to slip into my winter coat instead. I left my trainers on....
(Instead of my boots)
Those dark clouds are coming over...
I soon start...🎈
Only started for 10 minutes when the heavens opened...
I'm glad I wore my winter coat, however my feet going wet instead!
My friend arrived with his dog in the pouring rain.
Once I finished in one piece, we walked back to Sexy Beast.
I was glad to get out of the wet coat.
It also stopped raining!
Had a quick yak, and then off home to dry my feet off!
Changed my socks.
