It's Good To Talk!

If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance - George Bernard Shaw
Welcome to my Funday Tuesday 😀
We had a bit of a lie-in.
Then to do the Heardles.
Heardle 60s:
My answers:

As we all were meeting up with my ex-husband and his nice wife for breakfast.
I still had my Breakfast with Brew.
I wasn't going to have a Cooked Breakfast, I was just going to enjoy toast with coffee.
Thermal vest went on...
Now time to go for some chat, nibble and toast.
My hubby and our two kids had Cooked Breakfasts.
My ex-husband and his nice wife had a veggie cooked breakfasts.
I just had toast and coffee.
We had a good chat.
My ex-husband then took the kids to Sainburys.
We didn't realise the younger son had the only house key, so we followed them to Sainburys to get the key!
Gets back home after that!
Soon after ex-husband and nice wife drops our kids back, they join us for coffee and a piece of Christmas cake...
Ex-Husband's nice wife showed me how to crochet a square.
She had lots of patience!
My effort is on the left!
Wished them a safe journey when they left.
We had to go and fetch a lucky bag from Morrisons.
While we were in there we got some reduced stuff for tea.
We had the red light problem again!
Back home to cook up our tea.
I had a bit more than everyone else as they were all still full from their Breakfast.
Yum!

Celebrating But With A Bit Of Sadness

There are some people who want to throw their arms round you simply because it is Christmas; there are other people who want to strangle you simply because it is Christmas. - Robert Staughton Lynd
Christmas Day 🎄
Welcome to our Christmas Day 🤶
It was going to be the first Christmas we could have a lie-in until 9am...
However, we had a knock on the door.
Our late neighbour's son came round with the wooden dragon of his dads for me for Christmas and £20 for my younger son for looking after his late dad.
Hubby said thank you and wished him a Happy Christmas.
Time for Breakfast with Brew.
Time to dig out the sequins!
All the presents were took down and put in piles.
All the kids wake up and now to open the presents!
Younger son's presents.↑↑↑
Hubby's presents.↑↑↑
Mine↑↑
My older son took his presents upstairs before I could take a photo of his present :(
Now for a nice cup of coffee...
Now to go and visit my mum and dad.
It was so busy with people visiting.
There was a huge black cloud coming over.
I spoke to my parents, and then 20 minutes later the heavens opened.
Back to Sexy Beast we went.
Back home.
With turkey in the oven.
I finished the Nutcracker Christmas cake.
Christmas Dinner is ready.
We gave a toast to those who sadly can't be with us to enjoy today.
ie: My dad :'(
Hubby's dad :'(
&
My neighbour :(
Looked for something to watch....
&
We found it....
Now for some brew....
Now for some Heardles...
