"Manfred Mann!"I replied
"Manfred who?" Anon answered back - 8/2/2019
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Warm hug to start Friday with....πŸ’‘
Brew with breakfast.
It doesn't look cold outside...
Dressed.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet πŸ’‹ before I leave.
Traffic lights have now been removed from the bottom of the road I work in.
Normal way to work \o/
It was quite cold to start off with.
On goes my winter hat, gloves and 4 layers under my summer coat.
I puts on my lights...
Now for some fun on a Friday!
Some car drivers were having a bit much of the Friday Feeling, and still carrying on underneath my stick....
Plus the temperature was going up ↗↗
I was getting warm under my hat!
I finished in one piece!
I gets the newspaper on the way home.
I puts on the coffee machine.
Now to pack the bag for tonight's getaway.
Bag packed.
Coffee time.
No Fed-Ex delivery.
I sends another email to the business I got my parcel from, saying if I don't get my parcel redelivered by Monday, I want a full refund.
Soon gets a response!
They are talking to Fed-Ex themselves!
Now to write yesterday's blog post.
Hubby comes back at lunchtime....
We have lunch together.
He was getting more stuff from the lockup while I am doing my afternoon shift.
I gives him a sloppy wet πŸ’‹before I leave.
I took off two layers, put my summer coat on with my summer hat....
On the way to put on my lights...
I got chatting......
After 20 minutes I put on my lights as two friends were waiting for me to do more chatting...
Once it was nearly time to start.
I wished my friends a good weekend.
Now for round 2...
The traffic was being good for once...
No problems at all!
Finished in one piece.
Once finished, time to get a move on...
I got changed, picked overnight bag up.
Now to catch the taxi to train station.
We caught train, not many wearing face masks now. We were sat behind three men, who were talking about their lives in general.
One has a break from his girlfriend while she went to uni to be a Social Worker. In that time he was seeing a mother he met dropping off his son at school. He was just about to sleep with this mother at his place when the girlfriend turned up at his house....
That didn't end too good.
The second man was drinking a lot of the Monster drink. He was on his way to watch the Birmingham City v West Brom match on a houseboat.
The third man was talking a bit quiet for me to hear anything.
One got off 3 stops later, and the two other men got off the stop before us.
We got off at our stop, and found the place we are stopping at, tonight.
Signs in.
Now up to the 18th floor.
Now for our afternoon tea for 2.
Nice views of Birmingham City Centre.
Now to leave for the concert.
We were following directions on the Uber app for our driver. Ended up walking around the block 3 times!
Nice moon out.
Gets the driver by the old Debenhams.
Gets dropped near the Town Hall.
Got our tickets.
I noticed we were the youngest ones in the audience, and only about 15 were wearing facemasks including us!
They were talking about the new greatest hits album that has been released...↓↓↓
The second song they sung was was my favourite:
Both Paul Jones and Mike d'Abo took turns in singing.
Then Georgie Fame came on to sing some of his hits and other songs until the break...
During the break,we had a soft drink.
Georgie Fame came back on for the second half to sing his third number one hit....
Then the Manfreds came out to sing this one with Georgie:
Mike d'Abo then told the audience make sure you happy with your married partner then went onto sing..
then it was:
They finished the concert with:
We stood up and gave them a great clap at the end.
We walked back to the Rotunda.
There were some great night time views.
Now to enjoy the nice bed πŸ›
Night all x

Time To Hang The Red Knickers On The Street Lamp!

You have no idea how much it costs to look this cheap
- Dolly Parton
Welcome to my Thursday πŸ‘€
Warm hug to start Thursday with.
Brew with breakfast.
It was still dark outside, no sign of rain yet \o/
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet πŸ’‹ before I leave the house.
I still went the other way to work, thinking those traffic lights were still at the bottom of the road.
Still wearing my 4 layers under my Summer Coat.
I put on my lights.
Now for the fun to start..🍭
Some cars decided not to stop,
They were rewarded with the Boing!
Some drivers learnt to brake when necessary.
At least I finished in one piece!
While on the way to pick up the newspaper, some car undercut me on the roundabout.
He didn't get any quicker as I sat behind him until he turned off further up the road!
Picked up the newspaper, then back home.
I put on the coffee machine, and waited for my parcel from Fed- Ex to arrive.
Text message to say parcel had been delivered!!!
Looks outside, nothing here.
Gets in touch to the business who sent my parcel.
Be in touch in 5 days time!!!!
In the end, I googled the number of Fed-Ex and phoned up myself.
I explained, I am not a factory but a house.
They told me they would redeliver it...
(Funny DPD said the same, and didn't)
Time to hang the red knickers on the street lamp opposite my house!
I'm glad for that coffee now!
I wrote but didn't finish the blog post up to lunch.
I had some nice Chicken soup for lunch.
At least Amazon know where I am.
I got the latest Joan Collins book delivered!
Now out for part two.
Time for a change of CD.
On the way to work, when a gold VW Polo was coming out of a side road at speed. He has to slam the brakes on, or he would have gone in the side of me. I stared at him when I went past.
He had trouble trying to catch up with me.
(I was doing the speed of the road)
He must have a box in his car, that he has to do 30 m.p.h.
He tried to catch up with me, but I lost in when I go to work.
Only 3 layers under my summer coat.
Puts my lights on.
Now time for a bit of Rabbit with my 2 friends.
Said goodbye to my friends.
Now to start the afternoon shift.
Car drivers were being good this time.
I finished in one piece.
Now back home.
I finished writing my blog post.
The Duck crown was cooking nicely in the oven.
Someone texted me for a lift.
Not at the time, as there would be loads of traffic that side of town.
Walk or get a bus.
It looks like I will have to wait for 5 days for a response of order being mis-delivered from the business. If it doesn't get redelivered, I want a refund on Monday!
Gave hubby a sloppy wet πŸ’‹ when he got home.
Now to dish up the tea.
Hubby then and did two car loads of stuff from the storage unit.
We have until Saturday afternoon to empty it.
Once it was all put in the loft.
Quick read of today's newspaper.
Sir Roger  Moore KBE  was an English actor. He was the third actor to portray fictional British secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions film series, playing the character in seven feature films between 1973 and 1985. Moore's seven appearances as Bond, from Live and Let Die to A View to a Kill, are the most of any actor in the Eon-produced entries.
On television, Moore played the lead role of Simon Templar, the title character in the British mystery thriller series The Saint (1962–1969). He also had roles in American series, including Beau Maverick on the Western Maverick (1960–1961), where he replaced James Garner as the lead, and a co-lead of the action-comedy The Persuaders! (1971–1972). Continuing to act on screen in the decades after his retirement from the Bond franchise, Moore's final appearance was in a pilot for a new Saint series that became a 2017 television film.
Moore was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991 and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for services to charity. In 2007, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the film industry. In 2008, the government of France made him a Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.
He would have been 94 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 89 in 2017.
Sleep tea time.
The Friday Feeling 🎈 is back tomorrow \o/
