Trying Not To Be The Curtain Twitcher!

There's something in life, that's a curtain, and I keep on trying to raise it! -   Maxine Hong Kingston
Welcome to my Saturday 👾
Lots more fun on the sewing machine...
Brew with hug.
Breakfast.
Bang bang on the front door.
Some of my stuff has arrived..
"Tell her to stop ordering stuff!" The postman told my hubby.
4 of the 5 parcels were mine, however the fifth one from New Look wasn't!
I got in contact with Gemma via Facebook.
She will pick it up after work.
I had some nice fabric from Fabric shop in Fleetwood, Lancs.
Hubby goes to get the food shopping from Lidl, while younger son does next door neighbour's shopping as well.
The woman comes for her parcel.
We share the same postman.
She can't praise him up enough, even after he wrongly delivered her parcel to me!
Now to get on with sewing the thermal backing on the curtains.
Hubby came back from shopping.
Light lunch...
My new CD arrived \o/

Hubby put up the new curtain rail.
Then he added the curtain!
Quick Tea at 3.
I finally finished the bathroom curtain.
Now to hang it up!
Even hung up a new curtain in the Kitchen to stop the draughts from out kitchen door.
First half of the washing has been dried.
Next load to be dried, will be tomorrow.
Chicken with wedges for tea.
Back onto Season 5 of Hell's Kitchen.
With some sleep tea.
I normally don't yawn,
But I was tonight......
Nice warm 16 tog duvet awaits.....

It Only Takes One!

When things are at their worst I find something always happens -
W Somerset Maugham
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈

Hubby fetched my newspaper before he went off to work.
I gave him a sloppy big 💋 before he went to work.
The kids tried to dodge the sloppy 💋,
Alas they failed ;)
Coffee time!
With a look in the newspaper↓

Light lunch.
I had some more Superhero fabric to make more masks with↓
Some people can't load up the dishwasher probably....
In future I will load and unload it up...
Do It Yourself......
Now to use the yellow thread on sewing machine...
Now to add more thermal lining to my late mum's curtains....
(That are 45 years old)
Hubby is replacing the small curtain rail tomorrow, as the curtain rail is only held on by two screws...
I put the tea in the oven and get back to sewing.
My younger brother phoned me up on the update of my dad's estate.
The solicitor has had to send out again the forms we all need to sign to have the funds in my dad's bank accounts....
The excuse was his bank has lost the forms.
(Sounds fishy, as the solicitor kept saying she was waiting for them to get back to her!)
Won't see anything until January now!
Even the house sale of my late dad's house has hit a bump in the road..
June next year before we see anything from the sale of it!!!
On top of the Prodical brother putting invoice in for £3200, younger brother has put invoice in for £1200 for the work he put in on doing some painting etc in my late dad's house!!!
Perhaps I should put a invoice in for the skip I had to hire to put all the stuff from my dad's house, that was no good!!!
My dad's lady friend is still banging her gums about me......I don't want to hear what she has to say, normally no good anyway.
Always takes someone to ruin my good mood, this time is my younger brother!!!
Hubby had a big sloppy 💋 when he came back.
Tea is served up.
Now to watch the final two episodes of season 4 Hell's Kitchen.
The winner was:
Christina!
Now onto Season 5.
With some Sleep Tea.
Now to welcome in the weekend 🎈

Then on to writing yesterday's blog post.
I got the chicken out of the freezer ready for tonight, made the stuffing, and roast potatoes.
I tidied up my boxes of craft items that are on the top of my wardrobe in our bedroom↓

I found some thermal lining which might have to be added to the 47 year old curtains by late mum made↓
I found some nice material I bought 8 years ago at the Craft Fair at the NEC↓
The story behind the nice material: While I had a limit of £70 to spend at the Craft Fair.
The person I went with spent over £350 on craft items.
(I needed £12 to get out of the car park)
Dirty Harry once said:
"A Man's got to know his limitations"
I found a box to put more material in↓
I ordered a pattern to make some tote bags.
The elastic for the waist bands for the skirts I ordered last week has failed to arrive.
They was suppose to arrive Tuesday.
I got in contact with the seller.
They gave me a fake tracking number.
I have informed Ebay about it.
Lunch time
I tried to find out where I put some sewing patterns.(It was August 2018, when I moved the Dining room around)Couldn't find them anywhere...
Then my knee started to hurt...grrrrr
Time for more season 4 of:
Tea at 3.
If I can return back to work next week.
I need something spotty to wear next Friday as it's Children in Need day.
as well as Friday 13th :(
I ordered some spotty fabric,
I will try and make a spotty skirt...
(If my elastic comes before then!)
Hubby comes home and receives some wet 💋💋💋
Dish up the roast chicken dinner.
No one beside me like English Mustard...
We carry on with season 4 of Hell's Kitchen up to the Final.
I was going to make spotty apron for next week. I bidded on an apron pattern on Ebay.
Then I found another pattern on another website. Any other time, I get outbidded on Ebay.Because I WANTED to be outbid, it didn't happen!
I won the item.....
Now to move onto Season 19 of Hell's Kitchen.
Sleep tea time.
Time to get in the mood for tomorrow's Friday Feeling 🎈
(Great song coming up at the end of today's blog post)

Dishing Up The Dessert!!

Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip - Will Rogers
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐪
Still waiting for the swelling to go down on my knee ;(
Brew with hug.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
At least the sunshine is back..
Hubby fetched the newspaper for me before he left for work.
I gave him a sloppy big 💋 before he left for work.
I did the same to my kids as well 💋💋
Coffee time.
With a quick peek at the newspaper.

Paul  Eddington, CBE  was an English actor who appeared in the television sitcoms The Good Life and Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister. He died on this day in 1995 aged 68.

I ordered 4 Xmas presents for our kids.
One present won't be avaliable until next week.
Hopefully going to come when the kids are at school.
I made a quick tart involving Puff Pastry, green pesto, mushroom, onion and bacon!
I put that in the oven ready to put on later.
In the meantime, I used 2 cans of condensing milk up...
Guess you guess what in?
I wrote yesterday's fun blog.
The post was a hour late due the postman having to wait for a hour for the replacement van, as his red van broke down.
Some nice mail I had too.
Once my waist elastic arrives, I will be able to start making some nice skirts!
I had some tape measures arrive as well as another cutting mat, as the other mat is too small on its own, when I want to cut some material. Plus all my tape measures have vanished into thin air!

Lunch time.
I finished making my surprise for everyone.
Millionaire's Shortbread.
Time for a little bingewatching..
I watched 3 episodes of season 4 of "Hell's Kitchen" with my younger son.
Once hubby came home,
he had a big sloppy 💋
As Lockdown is starting again in England tomorrow, hubby is still going in to work, and has to wear a face covering when he leaves his desk!
Tea is ready!.
The crispy bacon was so nice!.
More Hell's Kitchen to watch.
We took a break from season 4, as the new season 19 that is being shown on ITV2.
Time to dish up the dessert!
Millionaire's shortbread with whippy cream and pomegranate seeds.
We then caught up with the news...
With some sleep tea for me.
I hope to be back at work next Hump Day🐫
