I Got The Music In Me!

"When you make a mistake, admit it. If you don't, you only make matters worst." - Ward Cleaver
Welcome to my Saturday 😎
It was nice to have a early cup of tea and listen to "Sounds of the 60s" in bed.
Time for another brew
&
Breakfast in bed.
Hubby got up to drop off son at work.
I meanwhile had to hang the cloths outside in the sunshine to dry...
Washing machine goes back on to wash the kids's uniforms.
Hubby comes back with a much needed bacon sandwich!
I need 2 more peg hangers as one isn't enough!
I ordered two more from Dunelm.
Not long later, I went and collected my order.
Quick look around before I pick up my order.
Too big to get into our Living room :(
I went past my late dad's house, and a 58 black van was just coming out from the drive, it followed us down the road until we turned off.
Perhaps it was the new owner looking over the house he has just bought.
Gets back home to unpack my order.
Sausage rolls for lunch.
Hubby and younger son is going off to visit hubby's dad as it's his birthday today \o/
I meanwhile had lots to do at home....
Washing machine to be loaded up again.
I ran out of room on the washing lines outside.
3 loads had to go in the tumble drier.
Hubby went to say hello to his mum first.
The blossom was nice in the graveyard.
His dad liked his present.
It went straight up on his wall.
I meanwhile had my playlist blasting out.
Plenty of singing to do while updating the blog.
Inbetween singing and blogging.
Tea at 3
I made the cottage pies for later....
I had a break of doing all the that by picking up son from his job.
Once back.
The cottage pies were put in the oven.
Back to blogging and singing.
Hubby and younger son comes back.
Time to dish up the cottage pies..
I finally got the blog up to date.
Last Saturday's, Thursday's and yesterday's blog post wrote and published!
Catch up time with telly programmes.
First up was:
Judge Rinder.
&
Dragon's Den.
Quick look in today's newspaper.
Pete Ham  was a Welsh singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as a lead vocalist of and composer for the 1970s rock band Badfinger, whose hit songs include "No Matter What", "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue". He also co-wrote the ballad "Without You", a worldwide number-one hit for Harry Nilsson that has become a standard covered by hundreds of artists. Ham was granted two Ivor Novello Awards related to the song in 1973.
Ham committed suicide in 1975 at the age of 27, when he became depressed while embroiled in band-related issues, such as label and management problems, as well as a lack of funds. The emotional scar his death left on Badfinger eventually led to the suicide of former bandmate Tom Evans in 1983.
He died on this day in 1975.
Harold Reid was a member of The Statler Brothers (American country music, gospel vocal group. They sang as opening act and backup singers for Johnny Cash). He died on this day in 2020  after a long battle with kidney failure, at age 80.
Sleep tea time.
Off to that warm bed.....

Feeling Croaky Like A Frog!

Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions - GK Chesterton
Welcome to my Hump of the Week🐪
Brew with hug.
Breakfast.
Christmas clothes once more...
Got to save myself from falling into despair!
Out into the cold air I go.
No need to scrape Sexy Beast either which was an added bonus!
Gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 and off to do my 🍭 job.
The car drivers are behaving themselves by actually stopping...
We shall see when that wears off...
Finished in one piece.
Back home for coffee...
Now to change over the CD in Sexy Beast.
Off to do some singing along:
Takes a look in the newspaper when I get where I got to be.
Joan  Armatrading, CBE  is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist.
A three-time Grammy Award nominee, Armatrading has also been nominated twice for BRIT Awards as Best Female Artist. She received an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contemporary Song Collection in 1996.

She is 70 years old 🎈

I looks actually the fields of fun↓
Another Christmas Party.
One great Christmas being played over and over. The one I hate being sung along with.
I made my exit.
Back to the safety of Sexy Beast...
Now for the mystery year...
Back home.
Light lunch↓
Back out again for final Lollipop shift of the day.
The traffic was really building up, I still got the kids and parents over the road safely.
Got talking to people after I finished.
I writes yesterday's blog.
Puts the tea in the oven.
As soon as hubby comes home.
He has a nice sloppy wet 💋
Tea is served.
We are now building up to the last few episodes of Season 13 of Hell's Kitchen.
Still not very well.
Creaky voice and sore throat not helping...
Off for another early night....
No humping either involved!

The Thermals Needed Today!

Be careful that victories do not carry the seed of future defeats -
Ralph W Sockman
Welcome to my Monday🎈
Back on that Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Brew with a warm hug.
Breakfast.
Now to hit the Christmas once more!
Including the most important...
Thermal knickers!
It's cold out there!
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 💋 after I scraped Sexy Beast.
The lights were on down the High Street.
Looking very nice!
All of the drivers had kept their windscreen clear, except the stinky blue van who was struggling to see out of his windscreen when it went past me.
I was glad of the layers of clothes I had on underneath my coat!
I finished in one piece, and headed home for a much needed coffee.
At least it's dry!
Back out in Sexy Beast for more singing...
I has a quick read of the newspaper.
Harry Chapin was an American singer-songwriter and philanthropist best known for his folk rock and pop rock songs. He achieved worldwide success in the 1970s and became one of the most popular artists and highest-paid performers. Chapin is also one of the best charting musical artists in the United States. Chapin, a Grammy Award-winning artist and Grammy Hall of Fame inductee, has sold over 16 million records worldwide. He has been described as one of the most beloved performers in music history.
He would have been 78 years old 🎈
He died aged 38 in 1981.
There was still lots of fog about.
I couldn't see across the fields of fun.
Christmas Parties in the Dining Hall this week.
Don't you just love Christmas songs????
Except a certain one.......
(Which they played....)
When I got back into Sexy Beast.
It was the mystery year of songs....↓
Gets back home.
Hubby is using his last half a day today.
We have light lunch.
Give him a sloppy wet 💋 before I left.
The Santa Light above (the lights I turn on twice a day,) was on this afternoon!
A couple had an argument and left their car just by my lollipop spot.
He came back after 5 minutes and moved it.
No dramas this afternoon...
Too cold for any more dramas!
I gets home and finds hubby sleeping on the sofa...
I have a quick lemsip and soon joins him asleep....
Oh dear....
At least I found a bit better,
Still got the croaky voice......
Time to make the Stir Fry!
&
More Hell's Kitchen to watch!
With Sleep Tea↓
Still going to be cold tomorrow...
Thermal knickers back on!
