Plenty of Oranges and Apples To Use Up.....!

I am more alive than most people. I am an electric eel in a pond of goldfish - Edith Sitwell

October
Welcome to my October!
Plenty of things to keep me busy.....

1: It was my late parents's 57th Wedding Anniversary.
2: Warm Hub is back!
3: I entered the Macmillan Bake Off.
I didn't win, I did have the bottle of Champagne, as the winners can't have alcohol!
4: Now to enjoy some of my own cake with a great TV programme.
5: Hubby and I helped at the Royal British Legion Coffee Morning.
I made an Apple and Orange cake, which went down really well.
6: Warm Hub
Made another Orange and Apple Cake
(I have made it, three times in two weeks, and people love it)
7:My late dad's house was raided by the Police.
(We sold it in 2021)
It was being used to grow Cannabis.
(I always wondered why the bedroom light was on in my old parent's front bedroom window, now we know why!)
8: I broke up for Half Term Holidays.
9: From 7.30 am - 7pm on Saturday 25th.
We caught 7 bus journeys from Redditch to Barnard's Green, then Great Malvern, Worcester, Pershore, Evesham, back to Redditch. All for £7 each. We visited 35 charity shops and to Remade Worcester .Over 10,000 steps, and lots of bargains.
10: Attended a Finance Committee Meeting.
11: I popped into a table top sale with only one bag.
I came away with 2 full bags, one suitcase, and loads of fridge magnets!
12: Getting ready for Rememberance Sunday.
13: Eighth Anniversary on the 31st October when I tripped over in a school's car park after I finished my lunchtime job.
I had to have my achilles tendon reattached.
I had to learn to walk again.
8 months off work.
5 months living in my living room as I couldn't get upstairs.

 Roll onto November.....

When A Shed Isn't A Shed....!

I wear a thong. You may not be able to see it, but I can wear it
-Jo Brand
Welcome to my Tuesday fun 😎
Heardle Time
Heardle 60s.
My answers:
Breakfast and Brew.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet oneπŸ’‹ before he left for work.
I got up and got dressed.
Out to go for a little ride in Sexy Beast.
I went straight to Morrisons this time to get my newspaper.
I needed a few things.
The mushrooms I looked at on Sunday that were 79p and gone up to £1.19!
Got my newspaper.
No Security Guard looking at me this time!
Back home.
Put the coffee machine on.
Went out to sweep up the leaves and pears off the path.
Lorry appeared and parked straight over the drive!
Nice!
Really should have double yellow lines there!
At least the path was cleared!
The friendly Robin was enjoying snouting in my hallway↓
Waited for the little bit of Eclipse of the moon and Sun.
Too many clouds!
Now for some coffee!
My youngest son dropped in, to give me some Fridge Magnets from Liverpool.
He visited the Beatle museum while he was there.
Now to put the magnets on show!
Someone asked on Twitter about people's first cars.
My first car was a Maroon Ford Cortina.
It had a good radio cassette player but only 4 gears!
I am standing next to it in my Royal Mail uniform!
The picture below is hubby's first car with his late mum standing by it↓
Liquid lunch time.
My Amazon order arrived.
I did tell the courier that my shed is where the parcels go, not on top of the wheelie bin!!!
Then we got into a argument on what a shed looks like......
He gave up with that argument and scurried down the path!
Done some more needed housework after that.
Tea at 3.
Then I got on cooking up the veggie option of tea.
All went in the tray and put the oven on!
Hubby came back and a sloppy wet one.
πŸ’‹
Tea is served.
Roast Cauliflower & Chickpea Tray Bake
Yum.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1975:
Art Garfunkel - I Only Eyes For You
UK No.1 on this day in 1980:
Barbra Streisand - Women In Love
UK No.1 on this day in 2003:
Sugababes - Hole In The Head.
US No.1 on this day in 1980:

Now for some "Yellowstone"
Sleep Tea Time.
Then off to bed we go.
However it was short-lived, the loud snoring started up....
Back on the sofa I went...
I hope I have a warm Hump Day tomorrow 🐫
