Dancing On A Saturday Night!

If you are bored with your present enemies and want to make some new ones, tell two of your women friends that they look alike - Mignon McLaughlin.
Good Morning Saturday 💖
Up early to listen to "Sounds of the 60s"
I made the first brew...
The UK Top 3 from 1964.
Jim Reeves - I Won't Forget You
Manfred Mann - Do Wah Diddy Diddy
The Honeycombes - Have I Got The Right?
One son got picked up for his job.
We waited for the postman until 10am.
Off to the Sorting office I go.
My dear friend was in the Caller's Office.
There was a 100% turnout for the strike yesterday.
Normally someone would cross the picket line,
when I worked there.
There was no mail left in the fitting.
I nipped into Sainsburys for some milk.
I had a message that my tracker had been delivered \o/
Back home we go.
Lots of packets for me :)
Some of the things I had ordered.
Now off to finish sorting out the kitchen cupboards at my late Father-in-law's house.
Before we started, we had a coffee and lunch.
He sorted upstairs.
I sorted out all the things in the kitchen cupboards.
I filled up my 5 tool boxes with tools and bits!
Coffee needed again.
Once I finally emptied them all.
Loaded up the car with the tool boxes.
Now to go over with flowers to hubby's mum's grave.
As it would have been her 82rd Birthday tomorrow.
Once hubby get's his inheritance, he is paying for a nice gravestone with all the six names of those in the grave.
Back home.
On looking through my packets.
One seller sent me the wrong item!!!
Sent the Ebayer a nice message.
Now to get the tools in.
I see Hell is opening up!
We had a quick tea.
Now to look in today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1964:
The Honeycombes - Have I Got The Right ?
Found out earlier Tom Springfield had died last month aged 88.
He was the older brother of singer Dusty Springfield, with whom he performed in the Springfields. He wrote several hit songs for the Springfields ("Island of Dreams", "Say I Won't Be There") and later for the Seekers ("I'll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own", "The Carnival Is Over", "Georgy Girl"), whose records he also produced.
We then watched The Biggest Hits of the Seventies from 1973.
Wizzard - Angel Fingers
Barry Blue - Dancin' (On a Saturday Night)
10cc - Rubber Bullets
Gilbert O' Sullivan - Get Down
Wizzard - See My Baby Jive.
Dawn Featuring Tony Orlando - Tie A Yellow Ribbon.
Sleep Tea time.
More fun to have tomorrow!

Welcome to my Saturday Fun 👍
Warm hug time.
Brew with breakfast.
No thermal vest needed.
Now to leave the house.
Drops off son at his job.
Now to pick up a new Bird Feeding Station.
Then off to explore the Charity Shops in Bromsgrove.
We got some nice bargains.
Back home for coffee!
Enjoying the sunshine in the garden.
Then off out for a hair cut!
I had a good yak!
Felt better afterwards.
I got some flowers for my parents.
Checked tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
Onto see my parents.
Added the new flowers :)
Went round to Joe's to look at the half price sale.
Enjoyed a cold drink.
Off home for a late lunch.
Hubby then put together the Bird Feeding Station.
I unpacked all the bargains we bought from Bromsgrove.
Nice LP of Barry's↓
Then hubby put up the new garden arch↓
I repotted the two roses I bought two weeks ago.
Hubby put up the things I bought from Bromsgrove earlier.
Now to enjoy Eurovision....
Now for our UK entry:
We finished top after all the countries done their marks.
In the end we finished second after the Public voted.
Looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1988:
Fairground Attraction - Perfect.
USA No.1 on this day in 1977:
Leo Sayer - When I Need You.
USA No.1 on this day in 1988:

Cheers Dad!

"When you're young, you think your dad is Superman. Then you grow up, and you realize he's just a regular guy who wears a cape."- Dave Attell
Father's Day
I got up early and made breakfast for my hubby!
This is the second Father's Day since I lost my lovely dad :(
Now out to check Sexy Beast's tyre pressures.
Now to change over cars.
Tested hubby's car tyre pressures and fill up for the week with fuel.
Then we all get ready to go out for a meal with hubby's dad.
Picks up his dad.
Then the fun starts...
Goes through Bewdley,
One tells hubby to go this way, and we end up going the other way to the pub....
At least we got there just in time!
Dads's pic.
Soft drink for me.
Beef dinner for me.
Then puddings...
I had the chocolate cake with cream.
Now to say "Cheers to my dad!"
It didn't even touch the sides when it went down!
We dropped off hubby's dad afterwards.
I snoozed on the way back.
Now to make way for the sofa we are having tomorrow.
Everything in the hall had to be took off the wall.
Kids had to fun trying to take the old sofa out the living room. It got stuck getting through the back door. Two legs had to be sorn off....
Now to hoover up the space where the sofa once was.
Then we had a light tea.
Then got things ready for getting on the Wobbly Work Wheel tomorrow 🎡
