Making The Most Of Warm Monday!

My mouth is so dry they could shoot Lawrence of Arabia in it - Dyan Canon
Welcome back to the more missed Monday Feeling 🎈
Nice big stretch to start the non-working week for me 😢😲
Time to do the Heardles
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers were:
Breakfast Time with Brew.
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one before he goes off to work 😘
I also had lots to do.
Time to leave the house.
On the way to drop off son at work.
I picked up my newspaper.
Picked a order up from Wickes.
Dropped son off.
Paid a visit to B&Q
That would look good in our back garden!
I forgot to pick up my B&Q loyalty card!
Got my stuff.
Now onto Tool Station to pick up one more thing.
Then back home.
Now to put on the coffee machine.
Unloaded and loaded up dishwasher.
Watered the plants.
Now for that coffee!
The bees are enjoying my Lavender.
Now to vanish the garden bench.
I bought a small tin and run out after the first layer was applied.
Will get some more tomorrow.
I swept the path, and tidied up the garden.
I am painting the front of our house, and the tin was paint was going to be delivered by DPD.
I have had diverted elsewhere.
(As we know from experience, they won't deliver it here)
I had a early lunch.
One son had been on the campaign trail for someone who is trying to be a Worcestershire Country County.
Both he and son came back for a drink and chat.
I mentioned about our 16 year old boiler...
He asked "How did the funeral go of my late Father-in-law?"
"Great, being called a Twat, no one speaking to me, and a general atmosphere of hatred of me!"
One more social event to go, of seeing those awful family members and won't never have to see them ever again \o/

We said goodbye to them, and moved the car to the other car park.
Now onto look round some Charity Shops.
The first one had a big map of the world.
There is no room on my son's walls for it,
Plus it wouldn't fit in the car for a start!
I found a book for my Father-in-law for next Christmas.
I got Birthday card for my son's nan whose 80th Birthday is next weekend.

The 2000 piece world puzzle will keep son busy.
Now for much needed coffee.
The soup was lovely!
Sweet Potato, vegetables, tomatoes, herbs and added Chilli for added kick.
I finished it off what was left in the soup maker as it was so nice.
As hubby didn't go food shopping last night.
He went this afternoon with younger son who was doing our neighbour's food shopping.
I meanwhile had other things to do.

The hunt for Chicken Mince was called off, as they couldn't find any.

Peter  Sarstedt, briefly billed early in his career as Peter Lincoln, was an English singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. He was the brother of musicians Eden Kane and Clive Sarstedt.
Although his music was classified as pop, it generally encompassed ballads derived from traditional folk music rather than traditional rock and roll. He was best known for writing and performing the song "Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)?", which topped the UK Singles Chart in 1969. Set to a "faux European waltz tune" and described as "a romantic novel in song", it won an Ivor Novello Award. The record remained Sarstedt's biggest hit. He had 1 more hit single and 1 hit album but despite numerous releases never had chart success again.
He died on this day aged 75 in 2017.
The Ministry of Food introduced food rationing in the UK, to ensure there was enough food to go round during the Second World War. Britain was particularly vulnerable to a naval blockade as it imported 20 million tons of food per year on 8 January 1940.
TV series "All Creatures Great and Small" debuts on BBC TV, based on the books by James Herriot, starring Robert hardy and Christopher Timothy in 1978.
The first episode of Gimme Gimme Gimme broadcast on BBC2. It ran for 3 series and starred Kathy Burke and James Dreyfus in 1999.
