One Big Upgrade!

Now out for a little ride..
First stop was to nip into Sainsburys to get some bits.
No problem in here unlike Morrisons last Sunday.
While hubby took the bits back to the car.
I picked up my order from Argos.
Now off to pick something else up from:
Put facemask on to pick it up.
Picked up a much needed coffee before we went home.
Gets back home.
While hubby is filling up the bird feeders,
My amazon order arrived.
 
At last a new kettle!
We tried to fit the green splash back screen back onto wall behind the oven.
No luck with no nails.
I ordered some stronger stuff from Wickes.
It started to snow when we got back.
No luck with this stronger stuff either!
I ordered a lighter in weight (Not glass)
Splash back instead.
New upgraded toilet seat!
Now for a chinese meal in 2 parts.

Oliver Reed was an English actor known for his upper-middle class, macho image and "hellraiser" lifestyle. Notable films include The Trap (1966), playing Bill Sikes in the Best Picture Oscar winner Oliver! (1968), Women in Love (1969), Hannibal Brooks (1969), The Devils (1971), portraying Athos in The Three Musketeers (1973) and The Four Musketeers (1974), playing a Teddy Boy in Tommy (1975), The Brood (1979), Lion of the Desert (1981), Castaway (1986), The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988), Funny Bones (1995) and Gladiator (2000). 
He would have been 83 years old 🎈 
He died aged 61 in 1999.
Peter  Gabriel  is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and activist. He rose to fame as the original lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis. After leaving Genesis in 1975, he launched a successful solo career with "Solsbury Hill" as his first single. His 1986 album, So, is his best-selling release and is certified triple platinum in the UK and five times platinum in the U.S. The album's most successful single, "Sledgehammer", won a record nine MTV Awards at the 1987 MTV Video Music Awards and, according to a report in 2011, it was MTV's most played music video of all time.
He is 71 years old 🎈 
David  Naughton  is an American actor and singer known for his starring roles in the horror film An American Werewolf in London (1981) and the Disney comedy Midnight Madness (1980), as well as for a long-running "Be a Pepper" ad campaign for beverage maker Dr Pepper. He also starred in the short-lived sitcom Makin' It and sang its hit theme song "Makin' It", giving him a Top 5 hit on the Billboard charts.He is 70 years old🎈
Waylon  Jennings was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as one of the founding pioneers of the Outlaw Movement. In 1958, Buddy Holly arranged Jennings's first recording session, and hired him to play bass. Jennings gave up his seat on the ill-fated flight in 1959 that crashed and killed Holly, J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson and Ritchie Valens.Jennings also appeared in films and television series, including Sesame Street, and a stint as the balladeer for The Dukes of Hazzard, composing and singing the show's theme song and providing narration for the show. 
He died on this day in 2002 aged 64.

Doing My Own Christmas Card Delivery...

Welcome to my Saturday....😀
I woke up early....far too early for a Saturday...
Nice cup of tea to start the day with.
Now to update the blog by publishing 3 days of blog posts.
Halfway through, Sleepy Beauty woke up.
He got the son whose Boxing lesson is this morning up.
A had a Christmas Present delivered, that was due for yesterday!
(Christmas Jumper Day is the clue)
We hadn't had no mail since Wednesday, so I wasn't really going to suspect any mail yesterday.
Warm hug with brew.
Breakfast.
Hubby dropped off son at his Boxing lesson.
I posted 3 blog posts.
Dressed.
Washing machine and tumble drier went on.
Once son had been collected from Boxing lesson.
We went out in Sexy Beast...
Christmas Card Delivery Time.
Every year it is getting less and less.
My good friend of 27 years died in May so that's one less Christmas card :(
After an hour, all was delivered.
I will try and go to the Post Office to send more cards next week.
Quick lunch.
Hubby then went food shopping with younger son (Who is doing next door's shopping as well)
I have to catch up with 2 episodes of Top of The Pops from 1990...

After watching it. I caught up with today's newspaper.
Concetta  Franconero  better known as Connie Francis, is an American pop singer, former actress, and top-charting female vocalist of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Although her chart success waned in the second half of the 1960s, Francis remained a top concert draw.
She is 83 years old 🎈
Charley Pride was an American singer, guitarist, and professional baseball player. His greatest musical success came in the early to mid-1970s, when he was the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis Presley. During the peak years of his recording career (1966–87), he had 52 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 30 of which made it to number one. He won the Entertainer of the Year award at the Country Music Association Awards in 1971.
Pride was one of three African-American members of the Grand Ole Opry (the others are DeFord Bailey and Darius Rucker). He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000.He died aged 86 on this day in 2020.
When hubby came back with the shopping. 
Once the shopping has been put away, I started on the tea which involved Meat Balls!
We caught up with 2 weeks of
"Have I Got News For You!"
Followed by 2 episodes of Season 19 of Hell's Kitchen.
Followed by one more episode of Hell's Kitchen season 14....with Sleep Tea!
Got loads to do tomorrow.....
Off to a warm bed with even warmer hands...
