On Another Road Trip....

Ill-conceived love is like a Christmas cracker - one massively disappointing bang and the novelty soon wears off -
Edmund Blackadder, Blackadder's Christmas Carol
Welcome to my Saturday fun 👍
I had a lovely warm hug.
We listened to "Sounds of the 60s" in bed.
The top 3 UK Singles 1963.

Breakfast with brew.
Thermal vest goes on.
Dressed.
Shopping trolley loaded up.
Drops off one son at work.
Now onto Droitwich.
We park up, now to explore the fun with Droitwich Lions.
We bought some books and DVDs.
Then we moved onto the nearby Charity Shop and bought a cookie tea shaped like a Gingerbread House.
Back to the car we went.
Moved the car.
Now to look around Droitwich Charity Shops.
Bought a Minion and Churchhill the Dog.
I bumped into a Governor from the school I used to dish up dinners for in Wilkinsons.
That large bag of bird food looked very heavy he was carrying.
I wished in a Happy Christmas and carried on shopping.
While hubby was in Coffee #1
I got some things from the Works.
Went to see the Salvation Army playing.
Goes back to the car to put the shopping Trolley in.
Nips into Waitrose to get some bits.
On the way to Dunelm we listen to Pick Of the Pops from 1965.
We was a bit miffed that he didn't play↓
Even my younger son was miffed off.
He liked the song!
One great song he did play was:
Gene Pitney was there too.
Len Barry as well:
The Beatles were at number 3:
And at number 2:
At Number 1 is:
Time for a coffee and nibble.
They did have blue milk \o/
Got my linings for my curtains.
Nipped into Lidl to get a bag of carrots.
Next I bought a Christmas Wreath and gave them the bag of carrots for their horses.
Visited my mum and dad and gave them the wreath.
Picked up son from work.
Gets back home.
Unpacks the car with all the goodies..
The 4th door of my Advent Calender is:
The Christmas tree is coming down tomorrow.
So I made room for it, while hubby done the tea.
Tea is served!
Quick look in the newspaper afterwards:
Bernard "Bernie" Dwyer was an English Drummer most famous for his work with the 60s Manchester beat group Freddie and the Dreamers. He was the first Drummer for Freddie and the Dreamers when they first formed in 1963. Since he couldn't do The Freddie (A Dance move made by The Dreamers) during performances due to him being sat down, Dwyer would bob his head left to right. He remained in the band until 1971.
He sadly died aged 62 in 2002
The Beatles release "Beatles For Sale", their fourth studio album in 1964.
We carried on the four programmes on Live And Death Row.

The Mass Execution consists of four 60 or 75 minute episodes looking at the 8 inmates on Arkansas death row who's executions were pushed forward due to the expiration date on the Midazolam used in these executions.
The we watched Series 1 of Life and Death Row.
Episode 1, Execution:
With unprecedented access inside prison walls, it discovers what it's like to live with the threat of the death chamber, as well as hearing from victims and their families and the family of those on death row - some praying for execution, some hoping for a reprieve. Each episode focuses on a key aspect of the system - execution, trial and appeal.
For two of the youngest men on death row in Texas, execution day has arrived. Victim Nikki Daniels reflects on her kidnapping ordeal by murderer Richard Cobb and battles with her conflicting desires to forgive him, while the mother of death row inmate Anthony Haynes fights to use the final 72 hours to halt her son's execution for the murder of a police officer.
Episode 2:Judgement.
This film follows the trial of 26-year-old Guy Heinze Jr, with remarkable access to the jury members charged with reaching a verdict on allegations that Heinze beat his father and seven members of his family to death. As the trial progresses, there is legal manoeuvring while evidence about the brutal killings unfolds.
Sleep Tea time.
Now off to bed as the heating has gone off!
