Martin Scorsese  is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. One of the major figures of the New Hollywood era, he is widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential directors in film history. Scorsese's body of work explores themes such as Italian-American identity, Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption, faith, machismo, nihilism, crime and tribalism. Many of his films are known for their depiction of violence, and the liberal use of profanity and rock music. In 1990, he founded The Film Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to film preservation, in 2007 he founded the World Cinema Foundation and in 2017, he introduced the African Film Heritage Project. He is 78 years old 🎈

Jimmy  Ruffin was an American soul singer, and elder brother of David Ruffin of the Temptations. He had several hit records between the 1960s and 1980s, the most successful being the Top 10 hits "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" and "Hold On (To My Love)".He died on this day in 2014 aged 78.

Play Time!

Always buy a good pair of shoes and a good bed, because if you're not in one, you're in the other - Joan Collins
Welcome to my Sunday🎈
I woke up just after 7am....
I couldn't get back to sleep...
So I had a little play with hubby....
(That woke him up ;))
Afterwards we enjoyed breakfast in bed.
I must remember to take down my set of teas that came in the post yesterday↓
Once we got the kids up...
Time for a little ride out..

 We parked up↓
We got some bargains in Lidl
(Including a Wobbly Box for £1.50)
Next stop was The Food Warehouse
&
Home Bargains.
Needed the coffee and nibble after that↓
 Once we get home.
Unpack shopping.
Put on Tumble Drier,
Washing Machine
&
Dish Washer.
Once that was done,
Nice chicken dinner with lots of salad.
We caught up with one more episode of:
Now to test the tyres of Sexy Beast.
While I was waiting, a car pulled up by a petrol pump.He didn't fancy that one, reversed out and moved over another pump. He jumped out, filled his car up, he then dropped the petrol cap, it rolled under his car.
He had to move the car to get to it.
He reversed the car, and then went in to the petrol station to pay for his fuel....
I get back.
Kicks off my shoes for my trusty old crocs!
