Don't Blame My Singing For This Rain!

Welcome to my wet Saturday ☂
It's not fault for rain,
I haven't been singing that much!
Breakfast and Brew time.
We listened to "Sounds of the 60s"
Top 3 Singles from 1962
3: Ray Charles - I Can't Stop Loving You
2: Pat Boone -Speedy Gonzales
1: Frank Ifield - I Remember You
It's going to be a wet day.
On goes the waterproof shoes, rain mac and rain hat!
Now to leave the house, armed with my pink shopping trolley!
Road trip time.
We popped into the Droitwich Lions Sale.
I picked up 3 Dvds.
Visited another Charity Shop and bought some nice bits.
We moved the car around the corner.
Still raining.
Now off to look around the Charity Shops.
Half way round, we had a coffee.
We looked in the 3 remaining Charity Shops.
Back to the car in an hour and 20 minutes.
Off to lidl to do some shopping....
Got shopping loaded up in the car.
Back home.
Unpacked the car.
The bargains I got today↓
Liquid lunch time.
Back out to a Charity Event.
Walks past my Lollipop Spot...
Nipped into the Charity Shop to say hi to everyone.
Saw my mate the Parking Attendant who I greeted with a big hug.
We walked around to the Charity Event.
No where to sit down for a coffee.
Won some hand gel on the raffle.
Back to the car in the rain.
The rain mac goes off.
Gets on with making tonights tea.
In the oven it goes...
Cup of brew time...
Now to watch some telly....
Tea time.
Another film to watch...↓

Something Has Come Down In Price!

Welcome to my Thursday 🎶
Nice big hug to start the day with.
Brew with Breakfast.
Hubby got ready for work.
He had a nice wet one before he left for work.
Then I got up,
(Thermal vest went on)
While kids got up.
I enjoyed a early coffee...
Once we were ready to go....
We left:
First stop, to get the newspaper.
Next stop was Sainsburys↓
A laundry basket I wanted last year,
has now been reduced!
£6.50 instead of £20 last year :)
The kids got my Birthday cards for Monday.
Front cover of Private Eye.
Dropped off son at work.
Back home.
The laundry basket was soon filled!
The dishwasher was on the load up.
The coffee machine was put on.
Now to do some tidying up around the place!
With added coffee!
Once that was done.
I started writing two blog posts.
My lunchtime was inbetween.
Back on to it.
Tea at 3 next. 
I just finished the last blog when hubby came home.
He was rewarded with a sloppy wet one!
Pan fried the pork chops.
Then chopped up various veg that needed to be ate up.
Then all put in the oven for 20 minutes.
Tea is served on a bed of basmati rice.
Yum!
Now to look into today's newspaper.
Alfredo Lettieri  was an American actor. Active during the 1960s and 70s until his death, he commonly portrayed villainous characters. He achieved recognition for his performance as mobster Virgil Sollozzo in the crime film The Godfather (1972) and appeared in several other productions alongside Hollywood's biggest screen stars.
He would have been 94 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 47 in 1975. 
Paul Jones (born Paul Pond, ) is an English singer, actor, harmonicist, radio personality and television presenter. He first came to prominence as the lead singer and harmonicist of the successful 1960s group Manfred Mann, with whom he had several Top Ten hit records from 1962 to 1966. He presented The Blues Show on BBC Radio 2 for thirty-two years, from 1986 to 2018.
He is 80 years old 🎈 
David Goldstein , better known as Rupert Holmes, is a British-American composer, singer-songwriter, musician, dramatist and author. He is widely known for the hit singles "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" (1979) and "Him" (1980). He is also known for his musicals The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which earned him two Tony Awards, and Curtains, and for his television series Remember WENN
He is 75 years old 🎈 
Johnnie Ray 
was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Highly popular for most of the 1950s, Ray has been cited by critics as a major precursor to what became rock and roll, for his jazz and blues-influenced music, and his animated stage personality. Tony Bennett called Ray the "father of rock and roll", and historians have noted him as a pioneering figure in the development of the genre.
He died on this day in 1990 aged 63.

Back On The Saddle!

Welcome to my wet Tuesday ⛆
Warm hug with brew.
Breakfast.
It looks like the rain is coming in this afternoon.
So the sexy lumo trousers be out later on.
Dressed.
I gives hubby a wet sloppy 😘 before I leave.
Far too cold to wear the Summer coat.
On goes the winter coat with gloves!
I turned on my lights.
Now for the fun to start...🍭
Car drivers were having to slam their brakes on a bit more this morning.
I just lower my stick, and on goes their brakes!
A few banging of the gums.....
At least I finished in one piece!
I picked up the newspaper on the way home. 
Puts on  the coffee machine.
Now to drag the spin bike into the Living room.
Put a good film on to watch while spinning...
Warms the muscles up and start spinning for 25 minutes!
Cooled down.
Now for coffee!
Now to write yesterday's blog up to lunchtime.
Lunchtime.
Those sexy lumo trousers were put on before I left....
On goes the winter coat, gloves, and boots.
I puts on my lights. 
Then it starts to rain!
Not just light rain, but heavy rain.
I have a chat with my friend before I start.
Now to have more fun in the rain!
I'm glad I have my boots and gloves on!
Car drivers were leaving it late to brake again!
At least I finished in one piece, and just a bit damp!
Back home in the rain I go.
Gets out of my sexy lumo trousers.
Much needed hot coffee is needed!
Time to get the tea under way.
Lots of chopping up.
Puts it all the oven.
Hubby comes home has a sloppy wet 💋.
Veggie tea tonight.
Yum
We watched the rest of the Irishman film.
I looked in the today's newspaper.
J.T. Walsh  was an American character actor. He appeared in many films, notably Tin Men (1987), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), A Few Good Men (1992), Hoffa (1992), Nixon (1995), Sling Blade (1996), Breakdown (1997) and Pleasantville (1998).
He would have been 78 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 54 in 1998
Helen Shapiro is a British pop singer, jazz singer, and actress. She is best known for her two 1961 UK chart toppers, "You Don't Know" and "Walkin' Back to Happiness", both recorded when she was just fourteen years old. 
She is 75 years old 🎈 
Jim Diamond  was a Scottish singer-songwriter, best known for his three Top 5 hits: "I Won't Let You Down" (1982), as the lead singer of PhD; and his solo performances "I Should Have Known Better", a United Kingdom No. 1 in 1984, and "Hi Ho Silver", the theme song from Boon, which reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart in 1986.
He would have been 70 years old 🎈 
He sadly died aged 64 in 2015
We finished watching The Irishman.
Now for some Sleep Tea.
Hoping I will have a sunny Hump Day tomorrow 🐫
