Long Weekend Time!

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy - Spike Milligan
Good Friday
Welcome to my Good Friday Feeling 🎈
Breakfast and Brew.
Thermal vest goes on.
I let hubby have a extra hour in bed while I enjoyed coffee downstairs.
Once he got up and got dressed.
Out of the door we went.
On to Bromsgrove we go.
Food shop first.
Once we done that,
We moved the car and went to look around the Charity Shops.
One Charity shop had some good 60s songs playing...
I just had to sing along with one of them:
Some bargains about:
We went back to the car.
Then onto Waitrose.
That's my Birthday cake from February!
Nice car in the car park↓
Back home we go.
Unpacks the shopping.
Now to enjoy the sunshine in the garden.
Coffee time.
Lunch time.
Soaking up the rays until it was time to go in.
Nice bit of Vitamin D!
We got the tea on.
I looked into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1973:
Gilbert O' Sullivan - Get Down
US No.1 on this day in 1962:

Sleep Tea Time.
Now to enjoy the start of the long Easter Weekend!

Friday 5 August 2022

What Did You Call Me?

Ducking for apples. Change one letter and it's the story of my life - Dorothy Parker
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
The sun is out.
Heardle Time!
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers:
Time for breakfast and brew.
Dressed.
Now to leave the house.
Dropped off son at work.
Now to visit the Doctors.
I was in there for under 5 minutes.
The Doctor gave me some tablets.
I have to wait for the letter from the hospital.....
Afterwards goes and sees our son at work.
Gets some nice things and enjoyed a coffee.
Then off to Droitwich.
To drop off 5 boxes of books for the Droitwich Lions book Sale.
Good Deed #1
We decided to visit Bromsgrove and have a look around the Charity Shops.
We parked up.
Looked in one Charity Shop.
The man in charge had changed the CD in the Charity Shop.
The Shadows came on,
My air guitar came out too:
He tried to catch me out with the next song....
"Jimmy Jones & Good Timin' "I said after a few notes came on!
Next Charity Shop, it all kicked off.
But first, I found a good LP↓
I walked to the back of the shop.
An old man on a disability scooter was trying to reverse.
I went, "Bip, Bip,Bip."
"If you think you are being funny, your're not!"He shouted at me.
"Only trying to help!" I shouted back.
"Cheeky Bitch,"He shouted at me in front of everyone.
My husband, said to him,"I beg your pardon!"
Everyone in the shop stopped and wondered who he was calling that!
I pipped up and said, "Me!"
"No Friday Feeling off him," I said.
Lots of looks at him as he left.
I said to everyone when I left the shop,
"If I ever get that bad, pass me the gun or the pillow!"
Everyone laughed!
On to the next Charity Shop.
Great single I found.
(I already got this one)
Time to go home with the little bargains we got.
Back home.
Light lunch.
The bread tasted yuk!
On the bird table it went.
One bargain went up in the window.
I learnt that Michael Redfern had passed away.
He appeared in the OXO adverts for 16 years.
Here are few of them↓
Tea was put in the oven for later.
Helps write the shopping list out for tomorrow.
Tea is served.
Afterwards a quick look in the newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1965:
The Beatles - Help
UK No.1 on this day in 1989:
Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers - Swing The Mood
Got the shopping trolley ready for tomorrow's trip to Droitwich.
Is it going to bargains, bargains, bargains?
Sleep Tea time.
Now off to enjoy more Friday Feeling in bed 🎈

Friday 13 May 2022

Survived This Friday 13th!

The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlamp of an oncoming train - Murphy's Law.
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
&
Friday 13th 😲
Warm hug time.
Brew with Breakfast.
No thermal vest time.
Final day of work for the week..
I gave hubby a sloppy wet one.
I bought the newspaper.
The Summer coat went on.
Turned on my lights.
Let's go and do it!
The sun came out, and then went in.
It was a bit cold, good job I had my gloves on!
A few cars on the otherside weren't stopping.
BOING,BOING,BOING
At least I finished in one piece.
I chatted to a parent for twenty minutes.
Then off for coffee and chat!
Now time for coffee, chat and nibbles!
Had a good chat.
Wished my friend a good weekend.
Now off home.
I had a sandwich for my lunch.
Now for the final shift of the week.
On the way, someone was pulling out of a car park, didn't look right and pulled out straight out in front of me, until I blasted the horn, and it stopped!
I put on my Summer Coat.
Turned on my lights.
Now to soak up the rays..
None of my friends turned up again.
I just enjoyed the rays until I started.
Just as I started, a van was parked on double yellow lines and I couldn't see down the road!
I had fun stepping out,
But with my big stick first!
Few cars on the otherside didn't stop again!
BOING,BOING,BOING again.
Five minutes before I finished the van moved!
Finished in one piece.
Hometime.
Time for a brew!
I put the tea in the oven.
Wrote a blog post.
Hubby came back to have a sloppy wet one.
Tea is served.
Hubby and son then went out to do the shopping.
I looked into today's newspaper.
