Sir Thomas Hicks, OBE , known professionally as Tommy Steele, is an English entertainer, regarded as Britain's first teen idol and rock and roll star. He reached number one with "Singing the Blues" in 1957, and The Tommy Steele Story was the first album by a UK act to reach number one in his native country.
Steele's film credits include Half a Sixpence, The Happiest Millionaire and Finian's Rainbow (musical) and he has made many stage tours in the UK. He is also a songwriter, author, and sculptor.
In 2012, Steele was among the cultural icons selected by pop-artist Sir Peter Blake to appear in "Vintage Blake", a montage to celebrate Blake's 80th birthday.
He is 84 years old ๐ŸŽˆ

David  Harman, known professionally as Dave Dee  was an English singer-songwriter, musician, A&R manager, fundraiser and businessman. He was the frontman for the 1960s pop band Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich.

Keeping The Draughts At Bay!

It is bitter to lose a friend to evil, before one loses him to death
- Mary Renault
Welcome to my Hump of the Week๐Ÿช
The swelling is going down, but more bruises are appearing on my knee.....Strange...
I had to get comfortable on the two seater sofa during the night.
I missed our Hug with a brew.
And having our breakfast together.
Hubby got my newspaper before he went for work.
I gave him a quick sloppy wet one before he dashed out of the house to go to work.
One son couldn't escape from one either!
Our youngest one is doing his school work from home.
He had to make a flag from household items.
(He loves Geography)
Very good :)
Now for coffee...
With a quick read of the newspaper.
Ben-Hur" directed by William Wyler and starring Charlton Heston premieres in New York City in 1959.
 (Academy Awards Best Picture 1960)

I had a big blog post from yesterday to write...including hits from 1990...and Martin Scorsese's Birthday.....๐ŸŽˆ
I finally finished it before lunch!
Woo hoo...
Post!
I going to have a go at making the poncho.
More needles for my Overlocker.
(I have no spare ones)
More bingewatching to do...
(While keeping the knee up)
Tea at 3.
I finished season 8.
The winner was:
Nona!
Now onto Season 9..
We are taking a break from meat tonight.
Veggie option.
I gave hubby a nice wet sloppy ๐Ÿ’‹ when he got home, and a warm hug.
I'm the only one who likes brown sauce...
We caught up with the semi-final of
The Great British Bake Off.
The only window in the house that doesn't have a curtain or blind in it is the toilet room.
Measured the window up.
I have ordered a small curtain pole and going to make a curtain for it. The draught you get from the window is terrible.
So the plan tomorrow is to make it tomorrow just in time for the curtain pole arriving on Friday!
Going to try to fit in making a dust cover for the overlocker as well.
Sleep Tea time↓
I hope I can enjoy the bed tonight and not the sofa!
