Somewhere Over The Rainbow!

I never did give anybody hell. I just told the truth and they thought it was hell - Harry S. Truman
Welcome to my Sunday love 💓
I woke up early and enjoyed a cup of brew in the garden↓
Hubby gets up, we have breakfast and brew in the garden.
Dressed.
Now time to check the tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
Then off to see my mum and dad.
I see younger brother is using the bench he bought to tie some flowers on the legs.
He did remember Father's Day then?
I had a chat with my mum and dad.
I said goodbye.
Popped into the Green Fair.
Both sons were playing Goalie in the Football game hosted by the Redditch Lions.
Lots of lovely classic cars↓

It was getting quite warm.
Time for lunch.
Then back home to get ready to go to quiz later.
Younger son came along.
Off we go....
Gets a table....↓
We pick a team name of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".
On our team was, Hubby, younger son, me and Hubby's snooker mate and his wife.
Half time↓
Hubby's Snooker team won a trophy for finishing runner up in Divison one table.
The song I used for the winning answer is at the bottom of this blog post.
The last round we romped home to win by one point!
We won £40!
Woo hoo!
Back home.
Sleep Tea time.
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel tomorrow 🎡

Escaping The Snores!

On the keyboard of life, always keep one finger on the escape key - Scott Adams
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
It is my late dad's 81st Birthday 🎈
He will be having balloons later 🎈🎈🎈
Now for Heardle Time:
Heardle 60s:
My son's answers:
Time for Breakfast and Brew.
Then I got dressed.
Gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 before he went to work.
I had some balloons to pump up!
Puts them in a black bag and then into Sexy Beast.
Both kids were being dropped off at work.
Gets the newspaper.
Drops off kids.
Travelling to my coffee date.
Stuck in Traffic lights which was stuck on red!
One black Range Rover sits behind me,
overtakes me, stops in the right hand lane, coming up to the big island it suddenly pulls in front of me!
FFS!
Then I follow it up to traffic lights, once the lights change to green, it overtook all the traffic in the left hand lane, then had trouble getting back in the lane when it turned into one lane!
Finally gets to B3 in one piece!
Now to have a look around.
Looked in Hobbycraft.
The dreaded C word!
I didn't buy anything.
Now off for coffee!
I used my free coffee tokens for it!
(Saved £2.99)
My friend arrived.
(She gave me a slice of her Birthday Cake to eat later)
I had the glutten free bread for my toast.
(Having normal bread next time!)
Wished my friend a great weekend.
Now to travel to see my dad with his balloons.
Bromsgrove was packed with traffic on the way.
Coming up to the big island.
Traffic coming my way, a motorbike overtook all of the traffic and was coming towards me, I had to pull to the left so it could get past!
Everyone was trying to race each other when I got on the dual carriageway.
Finally gets to see my mum and dad.
Now off home.
Oh dear, gets back,
First there is a Council van parked over the neighbour's part of the drive.
Tries to get on my drive and there is a car already parked there!
Great!
No tax on it either!
I go round and see my neighbour.
The car belongs to his son, who is at work.
I stay and have a chat for an hour.
Gets back home and starving!
A bit early for Tea at 3.
&
to enjoy some Birthday cake!
Lovely!
I put in the food in the oven for tea tonight.
Joe popped in after dropping off younger son.
Nice chat with coffee.
I move Sexy Beast to where my hubby parks his car, so the neighbour's son can reverse the car off my half of the drive.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋 when he came back.
Tea is served.
Yum.
Now to look into today's newspaper.
UK No.1 on this day in 1955:
Slim Whitman - Rose Marie
UK No.1 on this day in 2000:
5ive & Queen - We Will Rock You
US No.1 on this day in 1967:
The Doors - Light My Fire
US No.1 on this day in 1972:
Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally)
Hubby and son then went out to do some food shopping.
I got on writing yesterday's blog post.
Hubby came back,
He put the shopping back.
He was feeling tired.
I took my Sleep Tea upstairs.
Once we went to bed,
The loud thunder snores started,
Even with ear plugs in,
I could still hear them...
Up I got and on the sofa I went!
