Didn't Touch The Sides!

Welcome to my Saturday...
Nice bit of lie-in...
We are going off to see the Droitwich Lions...Book Sale..later..on..
But first Brew and Hug↓
Even the sunshine came out...
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Then out.
New dress to try out as well↓
Drops off son at his Boxing lesson.
Then off to Droitwich...
It was nice to see them again.
They had the Crap Apple Jelly for sale.
It is so lovely and goes nice on anything.
Bought them all.
Hopefully it will be on next month.
I promised them some of my dad's CDs.
Got some bargains.
Now to get the newspaper and coffee.
 Picks up son from his Boxing Lesson.
Some nice things from the Lions earlier..
 I start to sort out all my CDs in Sexy Beast.
Sorted them out to put into the boot↓
I sorted out all my late dad's Cds.
This are going to the Lions.
While the rest are going in Sexy Beast.
lunch time.
Afterwards I put the washing machine back on.
Tidied up in the Living room.
We wrote out our shopping list.
I went and collected my next door neighbour's shopping list.
We put tea on low in the oven.
First stop was Lidl..
Some of my neighbour's shopping done.
Next was Food Warehouse, Home Bargains, over the road to Aldi, and a quick visit to Morrisons!
He did get £6 back out of £50.
3 hours doing food shopping.
I dropped his shopping round.
Unloaded our food shopping.
My tea didn't even touch the sides!
I read this week's Private Eye magazine.

Martin  Ruane  was an English professional wrestler. Best known by the ring name Giant Haystacks he was one of the best-known wrestlers on the British wrestling scene in the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked in both Canada and the United States under the name "Loch Ness Monster" or simply "Loch Ness".
He would have been 73 years old 🎈
He died aged 52 in 1998.
Martin Kemp  is an English actor, musician and director, known as the bassist in the new wave band Spandau Ballet and for his role as Steve Owen in EastEnders.
He is the younger brother of Gary Kemp, who is also a member of Spandau Ballet and an actor. In 2012, Kemp finished third in the tenth series of Celebrity Big Brother, and in 2017 he appeared as a judge on the BBC series Let It Shine.He is 59 years old 🎈

Trying To Find The Odd Bargain!

My husband said he needed more space. So I locked him outside - Roseanne
Welcome to my Saturday...
I enjoyed  a cup of tea and a snuggle in bed. 
 I even got to hear the final hour of "The Sound of the 60s"!
We all got up and out of the house by 9.30am. as we were off to Droitwich.
 Of course it had to rain!
We go and see what bargains are at the Droitwich Lions.
While my hubby takes one of my sons to his Boxing Lesson. My other son and me look around the charity shops in the rain.

We had been in all of the charity shops.
I only bought 3 things...
 We looked in Waitrose and got some bargains.
On the way to meet hubby, there was a nice car parked outside Waitrose↓

 Nice nibble to eat↓
 Unpacked my items I bought.
 While hubby went to fetch our son from his boxing lesson.
I put the curtain up over the front door.
 Our son came back with the new boxing gloves I bought him.

 Then we had a ride out to Bromsgrove to look in their Charity Shops.
Oh dear, we only bought one DVD and Kevin the Carrot cup.
Hubby nearly lost his ticket to get out of the car park. The rain wasn't helping either!
Back home to have tea!

 Bruce Welch (The Shadows) is 78 years old 🎈

Stefanie Powers, American actress, is 77 years old 🎈
  While I caught up on the blog.
We caught up on last week's television.

The Graham Norton Show.
 Dame Julie Andrews, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Sir Ian McKellen join Graham Norton on his sofa.
We did the sandwiches for our trip to the NEC tomorrow.
Hopefully the rain will keep off...
Nearly finished the book I have been reading.
 Then off to try some ideas of my new book on hubby....

Always Bring A Trolley,Never A Bag..

We listened to "Sounds of the 60s" in bed with a cup of tea...
So many things to do and places to visit...
Out of the house...↓
 Popped into see Grumpy Granddad.
Then off to see Jeffery↓

 Anyone want a tyre???
 Off to see the Droitwich Lions.
They couldn't believe the stuff I got.
I said, "I have cleared you out,that's why I always bring a trolley never a bag!" 
All for £13↑
We moved the car to where I parked yesterday.
 
 We did some charity shop looking and buying bargains.
We rested out feet in the Library.
 Nice car I bought..
(To go with the other two I have)
 On our way to our final charity shop
 We nipped into Waitrose, and got a yellow sticker lunch...↓
 Now to do my dad's shopping↓
 Back home.
 My car collection↓
 All the bargains we got from the Charity Shops↓
 I went down to do my other cleaning job.
After tidying up in the kitchen, I found some cake expiry date 28/2/2019↓
 I gets home to look at the Birthdays.

(He died aged 65 in 2001)

(She died aged 32 in 1983)

(He died aged 71 in 2013)

After tea we watched a James Brown documentary on Netflix.
As normal we woke up at 10 to 1am...
Off to a warm bed...
