When my mother-in-law hangs out her bra on the line to  dry, we lose an hour of daylight - Les Dawson
Welcome to my Tuesday 💜
I jumps into have a shower before breakfast.
Then its hug with brew.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before he goes to work.
Nice to wear my White Rainbow Heart Pride Charity T-shirt today.
I went out with rain mac to get bits and pieces.
First stop was to get the newspaper.
Next stop was to nip into Sainsburys.
I got some reduced things for the garden.
Just need the sun back to charge them up!
Back home for a much needed coffee.
The pineapples went in the garden.
Fake Furry Plant in the Hall.
Now for that coffee!
I got writing yesterday's blog post,
All the way to dinnertime!
Then it was time to make a Cottage Pie and Apple Pie for tea.
Tea at 3.
While I was making them,
Paul Jones from Manfred Mann was on the radio, talking about his life in Manfred Mann and the upcoming tour!
The tour is rescheduled to October...
I jumped on the net for tickets!
Woo Hoo....
A late 10th wedding anniversary present for us
(Our anniversary is on the 5th September)
I will be thrilled if they play one of my favourite Manfred Mann songs.....
Georgie Fame is going to be there too \o/
The last real concert I went to was to see
Del Amitri in Birmingham in 1991!
I gave hubby a big sloppy wet 💋 when he came home.
Now to serve up the Cottage Pie.
Followed by
Apple Pie.
Then after tea,
A quick look in the newspaper.
Bobbie Lee Gentry (born Roberta Lee Streeter) is a retired American singer-songwriter who was one of the first female artists to compose and produce her own material.
Gentry rose to international fame in 1967 with her Southern Gothic narrative "Ode to Billie Joe". The track spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was third in the Billboard year-end chart of 1967, earning Gentry Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1968.
Gentry charted 11 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and four singles on the United Kingdom Top 40. Her album Fancy brought her a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. After her first albums, she had a successful run of variety shows on the Las Vegas Strip. In the late 1970s Gentry lost interest in performing, and subsequently retired from the music industry. News reports conflict on the subject of where she currently lives.
She is 79 years old 🎈
We caught up with news and newspaper review with some sleep tea!
Is tomorrow's Hump Day going to be warm or wet one? 🐫
