Gaining A New Brother!

Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home
- David Frost
Welcome to my Tuesday fun, fun fun....👅
Nice warm hug followed by:
Brew and Breakfast.
The new thermal vest is being worn today.
Dressed.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 just before I leave.
No need to scrape the windscreen.
Still wore my gloves, winter hat and winter coat.
I put on my lights...
Let's get ready to rumble...🍭
I wait to cross people over,
Smiler from yesterday, walks out of the road further up from me, drags over her daughter,
(a lorry stops for her, in the middle of the road and a car on the otherside of the road had to stop to let her over!)
What am I doing here???????
Still has the fun of cars not stopping and going under my stick!
Plenty of BOINGS on their roofs!
Even some had to find the brake to stop!
Glad I finished in one piece!
I get the newspaper on the way home.
It didn't help a yellow lorry was blocking my drive. I stopped in the road and waited for the lorry to back up so I could get on my drive!
I put on the coffee machine.
DPD is supposed be dropping off my sewing machine in the next hour. I go outside to see if I can spot the van.A DPD van comes out of one of the factory units, and I wave at it going past me.
He stops and says, "Sewing Machine?"
I says, "Yes I am!"
He stops the van, gets out my 2 boxes and says those famous words...
"I didn't realise houses were down here!"
I said,"Thank you" and took my boxes inside.
So if I hadn't been outside, I wouldn't have received my parcel!
Puts on washing machine again.
Coffee Time.
Now to update the blog...
I just got 3 blog posts wrote by Dinnertime!
Ran out of time to publish them...
Now for a bit of lunch.
Now back out for the afternoon shift.
Gloves were left off, still needed the winter hat.
I put on my lights, and got chatting to the woman who gives me free plants and vice versa.
One of the volunteers in the Library had passed away, and she just dropped in a card for the family.
Then my two friends appeared and we all had a good yak.
I said goodbye to them when I started my shift.
I have no low lying sun to worry about.
Only some parents still crossing further up the road into moving traffic!
While I am stood here looking like a bright yellow lemon!
Still a few car drivers driving under my stick!
(They can't use the sun as the excuse this time!)
I was glad to finish in one piece.
Home Time.
Time for a much needed brew.
Time to put one sewing machine away and put the new sewing machine back on the table.
I will have to explore in the box tomorrow.
First thing to do is to publish 5 blog posts.
Once that was done, now to get tonight's tea made and put in the oven.
Once hubby came home, he received a sloppy wet 💋 from me.
Tea is served.
Pie and mash with onion gravy.
I had a quick look into today's newspaper.

He died on this day in 2017 aged 84.
We caught up with the news of the day.
Planning to bingewatch more programmes on Netflix,
&
to watch more of Kenny!
Sleep Tea time!
Let's hope we only going to a heaving hot hump day tomorrow 🐫

Using Your Foot Instead Of Your Hand!

When you have nothing to say, sing it - David Ogilvy
Welcome aboard to my Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Nice big warm hug to start Monday with.
Brew with Breakfast.
On goes that Thermal Vest!
Gets dressed.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋
Now to leave the house...
I couldn't park where I normally park, as there are Covid-19 Boosters being done there.
Got my winter hat, gloves and coat on.
I turned on my lights.
Now to do this....
Oh dear, people not stopping again.
One car driver on the otherside of the road, put his hand up when he failed to stop.
He could have used his foot to stop instead of using his hand to wave at me!
One parent is dicing with death, she is dragging her daughter over the road and not crossing over with me.
I said to a parent, I was crossing over and witnessing it:
"If everyone does that, I will be out of a job!"
It might be cold, but at least it's dry!
Finished in one piece.
I got the newspaper on the way home.
I put on the coffee machine.
I am going to repot all my house plants this morning, and touchwood have time to go on my spin bike.....
Time was going so quickly.
Had a quick coffee.
Back to the repotting....
I finally finished at lunchtime!
Now for some lunch!
Back out for part two.
On goes winter hat, winter gloves and winter coat.
It just started to rain after I put on my lights.
I was talking to my 2 friends up to the time I started my shift.
Where has this rain come from?
The weather forecast said last night, it was due after 4pm!
I might have to attach a blue light on my hat, as car drivers were still not stopping even with my stick up in the air.
Plus this light rain didn't help.
I was glad I finished in one piece.
Home time.
Now for a much needed brew!
Now to try to get 4 blog posts wrote.
I made a Meat-Free Stir Fry just after writing one blog post.
I got as far as writing 2 1/2 blog posts.
Hubby's team won at snooker 3-2.
I had a quick look in the newspaper.

He would have been 108 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 61 in 1975

In 2008, Wood was awarded an honorary doctorate for his contribution to rock and pop by the University of Derby. In 2015, his long and eclectic career was recognised with the "Outer Limits" award at the Progressive Music Awards in London.

He is 75 years old 🎈
