The Yellow Peril Returns!

The light at the end of the tunnel is the headlamp of an oncoming train - Murphy's Law.
Welcome back to the Friday Feeling 🎈
I was so stiff from sleeping on the sofa last night.
I woken up by sleeping beauty....
While he was making breakfast, I got dressed.
(No thermal vest needed)
Time for...
We did all the Heardles...
My favourite was Heardle 60s...
Now to leave house for job...
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one before I leave.
I fetched the newspaper and next door's neighbour's magazine.
It was going to rain,
On goes the winter coat, with summer hat and no gloves.
I turn on my lights...
Let's hope the car drivers are gentle with me after the last few days I have had!
No chance!
One car went straight under my big stick, and was inches away from his windscreen.
I was in the middle of the road, and the Learner left it a bit too late too brake.
An emergency stop was done, inches away from  me!
Many of parents were glad to see me back.
They asked how the funeral went.
I told them what went on, and they couldn't believe it.
"I won't be seeing them again anytime soon \o/"
I said.
Then a BMW driver tried her luck!
My big stick was out in front,
Windscreen or stop
Emergency stop at the last minute.
I safely got back to the pavement.
The rain was carrying on.
Finished in one piece.
Back home.
Goes back out...
Coffee Date.
I chats with the current postman to find out what's happening with the repick.
The whole office has had a repick, all depends on how long you have been there.
I would have been there for 32 years....
Now for coffee!
My friend joined for a good yak!
Another coffee and nibble.
Yum Yum.
Enjoyed the chat, coffee and nibbles.
Now back home.
Didn't feel like soup.
Turkey and Mustard sandwich.
Now out for part 2 of the day.
Various weather reports say either cloudy or rain.
I got out my summer coat.
Turns on my lights.
Waits for my friends to arrive.
My friends appear.
Time for a rabbit...
Wished them a good weekend.
Now to do the final shift of the week.
Oh dear back to it again.
Nearly clipped a windscreen as it went under my big stick.
One man is a red car went under the stick.
I did the BOING, he turned into the side road.
Kept shouting at me!
I crossed more kids over the road.
He then came back for another go at me.
He parked on double yellow lines and delivered two bags of food at the house opposite me.
He kept shouting at me, I ignored him and carried on doing my job.
After that fun episode, nothing else happened.
Finished in one piece.
Home Time.
In need of a brew!
Now to get the blog updated.
Wrote about yesterday.
Now to put the blog back on!
Gives hubby a sloppy wet one when he comes home.
He does the tea....
Tea is done.
Yum!
Looked into today's newspaper.

Nice Day To Say Goodbye!

The truth hurts - maybe not as much as jumping on a bike with the  seat missing - Lt Frank Drebin, Naked Gun 21/2
Welcome to the Hump of the Week 🐫
Nice warm hugs to start this sad day.
It's my Father-in-law's funeral.
Just before breakfast.
We did all the Heardles.
Now for brew and breakfast.
Gets up and puts the coffee machine on.
Coffee and nibbles before we get changed.
On goes the other hat for the funeral.
The other black hat looks too much like a lamp shade.
The other hat belonged to my late mum.
I wore it 20 years ago to another funeral.
Now it's time to leave in Sexy Beast.
We picked up two magic bags on the way.
They kept us waiting for 20 minutes for them.
(I will talk more about them later)
We get to my late Father-in-law's house to wait for the Hearse to arrive.
Hubby writes out the card that is going on the flowers.
I go and sit back in Sexy Beast.
The hubby's other family arrive.
One moans out loud in the street,
"Every other Wake has food besides this one!"
Then walks past and calls me a "Twat!"
That's nice and polite!
She goes into the house and has a good snout.
Followed by the other band of Piranhas goes into the house for more snouting.
I of course,
 I Say Nothing!
The Hearse arrives, and the flowers get added to the coffin.
Now to follow the hearse.
Feeling those cold blasts of stares.
The service starts with a big tune...
While we were listening to Dad's Army theme, someone was tutting behind me.
Once the lovely service was finished we went out to look at the flowers.
I could feel the cold blast of silence from hubby's family.
I Say Nothing
Good job there was a friend of hubby's there that was talking to me.
Walking back to Sexy Beast, I feel those cold blast of stares!
Then onto the Wake we go.
The rest of hubby's family were sat at the far end, and we were sat at the other end.
Those cold stares kept coming......😁
I Say Nothing!
They kept walking past us.
I just looked at the bridge and not at them.
We ordered some food as we were hungry!
Buy 1 and get 1 free.
Someone wanted me to make up with one of the family members.
After 11 years of no contact and being nasty just before my wedding....
No chance!
They all started to disppear.
I waved to them that was left.
Off home we went.
Going back to those Magic Bags.
Terrible.
I refused to eat anything.
I had a sandwich for tea.
We didn't get the newspaper today.
But here's the number one's.

Sunday 3 October 2021

Finally Got It Emptied!

You can stop almost anything from functioning by hitting it with a large rock - Russell Bell

 Welcome to my Sunday 📦📦
It was nice to have a warm hug to start Sunday with.
Breakfast with a brew.
Opened the curtains.....
Hubby and one son went to have their hair cuts.
While I did various jobs around the house.
The coffee machine was put on, just in time for hubby to come back!
Back to sorting out of the loft.
One big pile for the tip in the back garden.
The big pile for the storage unit.
First trip was to the storage unit...
When hubby came back, we loaded up the car for a tip run.
Lunch when he came back with an empty car!
Then we took time out to collect a magic bag and some free food from Olio.
Checked the tyre pressures on Sexy Beast.
We had the red light fun in Morrisons...
Picked up the Magic Bag on the way out.
Then off to see mum and dad.
Back home in the rain.
Free from Olio.
Some of the things from today's Magic Bag, are going to my Father-in-law tomorrow.
Back to finishing off the loft.
One final trip to the storage unit...
Then a final trip to the tip.
The carpets in the loft will be took down on Tuesday.
The washing machine has been busy today.
I was hoping to do some sewing with my sewing machine this week...
Gets out the sewing machine and the power lead is no where to been seen!!!
FFS!!
Had to order another one off Amazon....]
Good job it wasn't the foot pedal!
Tea is served.
While I was catching up with the blog.
I was watching from afar the second episode of the 20th series of Hell's Kitchen.
Then 9 weeks of Top of The Pops.
One song which they played, I enjoyed and sung along with it....
Bryan Adams was still number 1 with a great song....
He had another entry with a new great song as well...
Sleep Tea time!
Quick look in the newspaper before bed.

Eddie Cochran  was an American rock and roll musician. Cochran's songs, such as "Twenty Flight Rock", "Summertime Blues", "C'mon Everybody", and "Somethin' Else", captured teenage frustration and desire in the mid-1950s and early 1960s. He experimented with multitrack recording, distortion techniques, and overdubbing even on his earliest singles. He played the guitar, piano, bass, and drums. His image as a sharply dressed and attractive young man with a rebellious attitude epitomized the stance of the 1950s rocker, and in death he achieved iconic status.
He would have been 83 years old 🎈
He sadly died aged 21 in 1960.
Chubby Checker (born Ernest Evans) is an American rock and roll singer and dancer. He is widely known for popularizing many dance styles, including The Twist dance style, with his 1960 hit cover of Hank Ballard & The Midnighters' R&B song "The Twist", and the Pony dance style with the 1961 cover of the song "Pony Time". However, his best-known song is the hit "Let's Twist Again", released in the same year; he also popularized in 1962 the song "Limbo Rock", originally a previous year instrumental hit by the Champs to whom he added lyrics, and its trademark Limbo dance, as well as others dance styles such as The Fly. In September 2008, "The Twist" topped Billboard's list of the most popular singles to have appeared in the Hot 100 since its debut in 1960, an honor it maintained for an August 2013 update of the list.
He is 80 years old 🎈
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡 tomorrow 🍭
