Time For The Thermal Knickers To Be Worn!

”Let's be naughty and save Santa the trip." — Gary Allan
Welcome to my Thursday Madness from the Sun 🌞
It was so cold....brrrrrr
We huddied under the duvet to do today Heardles
Heardle 60s:
My answers:
In need of some warm breakfast and brew!
Thermal vest and lots of layers went on.
Time to leave the house.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet one 💋💋 before I left.
Two winter hats, winter gloves and my winter coat was done up.
I went to get then newspaper, and they didn't have it in :(
I got my big stick.
Now to put on my lights.
Let's go to work!
Oh dear, the tank drivers are in force!
One van driver went past me,
One small hole for him to see out of, and another hole for the passenger to see out of. The passenger side window, you couldn't see out of.
I didn't feel the cold, but everyone did.
I had more presents.
Lots of BOINGs given out for those drivers on the otherside of the road who failed to stop!
Lots of last minute braking again.
I finished in one piece.
Swapped big coat for my Teddy coat.
Now off to Morrisons.
I got my newspaper and brought some things for presents as well.
Back home
The coffee machine wasn't working again.
Tried giving a good clear out.
Nothing happened :(
I made myself a normal coffee.
I looked on-line for another coffee maker.
Not too cheap and not too expensive!
Sorted out the presents into bags for wrapping up on Monday.
After a second cup of coffee.
Time for a liquid lunch.
Now off to do the afternoon shift.
On goes one Winter hat, winter gloves and winter coat.
I turn on my lights.
Met up with my friends for a quick rabbit.
One more day to go....
I said goodbye to my friends.
The low lying sun is causing more problems!
BOING, BOING, BOING I went as the cars were failing to stop under my big stick!
Last minute braking was also a issue as well.
Finished in one piece!
Time to warm up with a brew.
I had to do a early tea, as my hubby is going to watch our eldest receive an award tonight.
Hubby had a sloppy wet one 💋 when he came back.
Nice Pasta tea.
Gave both a sloppy tea when they both left.
My oldest son got the Warner Maths Prize.
&
Year 13 award for Chemistry
We are really proud of him :)
I gave him a big hug when he came home and a sloppy wet one too.💋
Hubby had one as well. 💋
Quick look into the newspaper.

Friday 17 June 2022

It's Scorchio!

It is difficult to look and feel elegant when it's terribly hot.
- Jane Austen.
Welcome to a Hot Friday Feeling 💥
We did all the Heardles.
Heardle 60s was:
Breakfast with Brew.
Tried to wear a cool outfit...
Strappy white maxi dress.
As it's going to be well warm!
Now out I go....
On goes the Big Big Sunglasses...
I gives hubby a sloppy wet one 💋
Gets newspaper.
On goes the summer coat.
Puts on the lights.
Now to start work.
It was getting well warm...
One BOING  given out.
I heard some bad language give out down the road. One man had jay walked in front of a car driver, who started shouting at him.
The other man shouted back.
The car driver drove past me with a red face, and it wasn't from the hot weather.
It's very warm!
Finished in one piece.
Now off for coffee, and chat.
I got some plants...🌸
Found a receipt by my car.
Would love to know what Xmas item was £5!
Now for coffee,chat and nibble.
Now for the second one↓
One of the women sat just over from me,
had been wearing t-shirts recently.
Today she was wearing a sleeveless top.
As the sun tan stopped halfway up her arms!
Had a good chat with my friend.
Had to go back up to the counter for my glutten free flat jack they forgot to give me.
Said goodbye to my friend.
Now back home.
Nice healthy lunch.
Looks in today's newspaper.
Might get him to come to my Funeral and tell people what I really think about people!
UK No.1 on this day in 1972:
Don McLean - Vincent
UK No.1 on this day in 2006:
Nelly Furtado - Maneater
USA No.1 on this day in 1978:
Andy Gibb - Shadow Dancing
Hubby comes back from work.
He has a sloppy wet one 💋
He has his lunch.
He is coming out with me to watch the traffic while I do my job.
Out we go.
On goes the Summer Coat.
Puts on my lights.
Gets two ice lollies.
Now to find some shade in the park.
Both friends arrive.
Then another friend arrives with a bag of vinyl.
He has a Dooley's album that has been signed by the band!
He is getting it valued.
Time to do the final shift.
It is so warm!
Glad there is a bit of a breeze.
Some of the car drivers were getting impatient while I was crossing the kids and patients over the road!
I was glad I had a cold bottle of water to drink from.
Some car drivers were unable to see the Keep Clear area of road and stops in it!
Then I have fun trying to cross the kids over the road!
Nice red face when I finally finished!
Back home.
Quick tea.
Now to go off to see Barry...
Gets in the car park.
Best to remember where we parked the car!
Catches the Shuttle bus to the venue.
Here!
Has to go through the metal detector....
I does my normal twirl through it.
Got a programme.
Gets to our seats.
The support is Curtis Stigers.
Everyone waving their green glow sticks.
Now to wait for Barry!
The audience sung Happy Birthday to him.
Then his band did the same.
He was on stage for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Great show, great songs!
When he finished.
We had to be careful when we left our seats.
When we left the concert building.
Everything was lit up!
The queue for the Shuttle bus was too long.
We decided to walk back to the car park.
One couple was doing making out up against a pillar. One woman liked the rainbow that is on the back of my trainers.....
While waiting for hubby at the toilets that was next door to the car park.
A woman came over to me and said:
 "How Barry was good tonight..."
I replied,"He should sleep well after all that singing!"
Collected hubby and onwards on back to the car we went.
When we finally got out of the car park, the way we needed to go was blocked by a Police car.
We then had to go to Solihull, then there were too many road works, and road closed.
Got back on the motorway.
My invisible brake was working overtime.
We got home.
I was too tired for Sleep Tea.
It was still too hard to get under that new duvet cover....
Out like a light I went!
Night all
