A Very Cold Hump!

My toughest fight was with my first wife - Muhammad Ali
Welcome to my Hump of the Week 🐫
I had great night's sleep under that warm duvet cover!
Warm hug with brew.
Breakfast.
Thermal vest going back on .....
Dressed.
I had covered up Sexy Beast thinking there was going to be frost....
(I looked out of the window and it had just finishing raining!)
Uncovers Sexy Beast.
I gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋before leaving.
At least the sun was out, but it was freezing!
On goes the winter coat, hat and gloves...
Turns on my lights.
Now let's do it....🍭
Most car drivers were stopping, I had the odd few that I had to give the BOING to with my stick.....
Most just look at me when they don't stop!
At least I finished in one piece.
I got the newspaper and my neighbour's magazine on the way home.
The coffee machine was put on.
I have so much to do in so little time to do it!
Emptied all the bins in the house.
(Ran out of swing bin liners, added it to the shopping list for hubby later)
Tumble Drier went on.
My fabric order finally arrived that had been sent out on October 14th, the first delivery firm lost it, and now has been sent out!
My large cutting matt also arrived with some Christmas fabric.
I noticed in this week's Advertiser, one  former Manager from Royal Mail has died.
I worked under him in the early 1990s.
I just got half of my blog wrote from yesterday.
I ran out of time as dinnertime arrived.
Lunchtime.
I finished off my third cup of coffee with my lunch.
Now for round 2.
On went the winter coat, gloves and winter hat.
I put my lights on.
One half of where I stand, there was sunshine, the other side had really black clouds!
I chatted with my 2 friends until I started my shift.
The clouds were getting blacker by the minute.
All the parents thought it was going to rain!
Lucky for me it kept off!
Some cars were just blately going under my stick,
Boing time!
I finished in one piece.
The dark clouds faded to grey ones.
Now back home..
I got the tea ready, and put it in the oven.
Time for a much needed brew!
Hubby came back just after I dished up the tea.
(He had to warm his up in the microwave)
We put on the number 2's from 1989....
One good song came on...
(I know it word for word!)
Quick look in the newspaper.
Anthony  Donegan MBE  known as Lonnie Donegan, was a British skiffle singer, songwriter and musician, referred to as the "King of Skiffle", who influenced 1960s British pop and rock musicians. Born in Scotland and raised in England, Donegan began his career in the British trad jazz revival but transitioned to skiffle in the mid 1950s, rising to prominence with a hit recording of the American folk song "Rock Island Line" which helped spur the broader UK skiffle movement.
Donegan had 31 UK top 30 hit singles, 24 being successive and three at number one. He was the first British male singer with two US top 10 hits. Donegan received an Ivor Novello lifetime achievement award in 1995 and, in 2000, he was made an MBE.
He died on this day in 2002 aged 71.
We watched a couple of episodes of Kenny Everett...

Thermals Time!

Television is for appearing on, not for looking at
- Noel Coward
Welcome to my Tuesday Fun 🚲
My duvet cover seems to missing much of the duvet in it.....
I will try to dig out another teddy duvet later.
Hug with brew.
Breakfast.
Thermals went on...
Dressed.
I gave hubby a sloppy wet 😘 before leaving.
It didn't help there was a frost overnight.
Time to scrape Sexy Beast's windscreen before I got off the drive!
Plus it was freezing!
I put the lining back into my Winter Coat.
As it was freezing!
Winter hat, and gloves were on .
Hoping the sun's rays will warm me up.
I put on my lights...
Let's get on with!
Some car drivers didn't take kindly for me dropping my stick down, and they had to stop!
One VN21 mini driver who were shooting me looks in the final week before I broke up.
I made her stop, her gums were banging together when she drove off.....!
Some car drivers were blockng the Keep Clear space, so trying to cross people was near impossible!
I finished in one piece.
I popped into the Co-op for some bits and pieces.
Picked up the newspaper on the way home.
Coffee machine was put on.
Washing machine was also put on.
Recycling put in the green bin.
I stripped off our bed.
I found the other Teddy duvet cover.
Put it on our bed.
It didn't help there was clumps of grass at the bottom and inside of the duvet cover!
Great!
Strips off the duvet cover and puts it in the washing machine.
Coffee time.
I go and look for another teddy duvet cover!
As the one I put in the washing machine is going to be dry for tonight....
Looks high and low on the internet.
Found one that can be with me by 10pm tonight!
Let's give it ago!
After all this messing about, I got half my blog wrote up to lunchtime.
Finish it off when I come back later...
I had a knock at the door.
The roofing company had come to look at my roof. They climbed up on the roof.
My son showed them the hole in the roof.
They said it was nothing to worry about, as no rain is going in through the hole.
I told him to put the bubble wrap in the hole.
The box is stopping under it as well!
Now onto Round 2.
I got winter coat on, winter hat and gloves on.
Turned on my lights.
I felt like Mitchell Mann with all my layers of clothes on under my coat!
At least the sun was shining for me!
My two friends arrived for a quick chat before I started the afternoon session.
I had the normal fun of trying to stop the traffic!
I stopped one man on a very noisy motorbike.
Who after I crossed back onto the pavement, starting to have a go at me about lowering my stick down while he was coming up the road!
That's what I could just about make out what he was saying as he crash helmet was in the way of his mouth.
So if I didn't lower it, he would have drove under it, I guess from what he was saying????
At least I finished in one piece.
Home time.
I put the tea in the oven ready for later.
Wrote and finished my blog post.
Hubby was half an hour late coming home from work due to lots of traffic.
Couldn't hold off anymore, the heating had to go on!
Tea is served.
The Bear duvet cover is arrive!
Going to be well warm in this tonight.
(I was right as far as the other duvet wasn't dry in time for bed time!)
My son found out the DVD I wanted to watch.
Quick look into the newspaper.

He was brought up in the East End of London and grew up in Barking, East London. Poole attended Park Modern Secondary School, Barking and Barking Abbey Grammar School.

Then it was Sleep Tea time.
Let's hope we have a warmer Hump tomorrow 🐫

Welcome Back!

Better the chill blast of winter than the hot breath of a pursuing elephant - Chinese Proverb
Welcome to the start of November🌟
Nice warm hug to start off Monday.
Brew with breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on....
Dressed.
Back on the Wobbly Work Wheel 🎡
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I leave.
I didn't park in my normal place as the Covid-19 Boosters are being given out.
4 layers of clothing under my winter coat.
The big big sunglasses are still being worn...
Now to put on my lights...
Let's do this...🍭
Everyone was glad I was back!
Now for the fun to start...
I had my stick raised, one red Mini came out of the Parish Hall Car Park, then straight under my stick....
A grey BMW was speeding down the road, suddenly had to find his brake pedal as I lowered the stick down!
I had my stick out, and one car on the otherside, didn't stop and carried on speeding up the road!
I survived until the afternoon shift!
I picks up the newspaper on the way home.
On goes the coffee machine.
Unloads the dishwasher.
Gets Spin Bike out.
Now for some Heat!
Did the Spin,
Cools down.
Now for some coffee..
Then I writes yesterday's blog post.
Lunchtime.
I ask Alexa,"If it's going to rain this afternoon?"
She said, "Just clouds..!"
Now for round 2.
It was still cold and I didn't like the look of the dark clouds that was gathering...
I put on my winter coat.
I goes and puts on my lights then I just have to rabbit to two people like you do!
I said goodbye to them and got chatted to another friend.
Then I felt spots of rain...
Great!
As soon as I started my job the rain came down!
Stopped, carried on 20 minutes, stopped.
In the meantime cars were going under my stick as if I wasn't there!
As soon as I put my stick in Sexy Beast it started to rain, and carried on until I got home.
Nice to have a brew when I got in.
My new watch arrived.
I did a early meat free stir fry.
(Ate it before I could take a photo).
Carried on watching Heat.
I finally got to watch all 2 hours and 55 minutes of it \o/
The next film I wanted to watch wasn't on Netflix or Prime Video.
I will have to dig out the DVD of it out for Wednesday...
The film I want is:
Next film I watched was:
Hubby lost at snooker, and his team lost 4-1.
I said to him, "That snooker cue is going to start our bonfire next weekend!"
He didn't find that funny!
I had a quick look in the newspaper...
"Cool Hand Luke", starring Paul Newman, George Kennedy, and Strother Martin, is released in 1969.
"Titanic" directed by James Cameron, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet premieres at the Tokyo International Film Festival (Academy Awards Best Picture 1998) in 1997.
Now for some Sleep Tea.
I kept the bed warm for when Hubby came home.
The way the temperatures are dropping,
The Thermals knickers be back on tomorrow!
