Reaching Half A Century!

“At age 50, everyone has the face he deserves.” - George Orwell
Welcome to my 50th Birthday Party 🎈
Time to open the cards and presents!
Now to get dressed.
(thermal vest goes on)
Then it's Breakfast and Brew time!
I have 2 lovely cards and presents off my two sons.
Now to leave the house....
I gives hubby a wet sloppy one before I leave.
Two winter hats and big gloves go on.
I put on my lights.
Now for the fun to start!
The High School has got a TE day.
The other 3 schools are still open.
I had lots of Happy Birthdays greetings.
It might have been quiet for traffic,
still got cars doing the Limbo under my stick and just looking up to see if I can hit their car roof as they go under....
BOING,BOING,BOING went my stick!
At least I finished in one piece.
Picks up newspaper on the way home.
Dropped off the newspaper.
Now back out.
Coffee & Chat time.
Both of my friends were there,
(Who I chat to in the afternoon!)
More lovely cards and hand cream :)
Chat, coffee and toast :)
Once finished we all said to each other.
"See you later Alligator!"
Back home I go.
Now to put all the cards on display!
My younger brother dropped in a Birthday card through the letter box on Saturday.
He must have forgot my first name, as he just wrote Sister in my card!
Lunchtime.
Then back out for Round 2.
It forecasted rain while doing it.
On goes the sexy lumo trousers.
On goes the boots, two hats, and waterproof gloves.
I turn on my lights, and walk back to my two friends waiting.
Time for a Rabbit....
As soon as I say "Goodbye!"
It starts to rain.
On goes the hood.
I was crossing a dog walker over the road.
When the dog wouldn't go any further, the woman wasn't looking where the lead was, and tripped over the lead, straight on her face she went, I was in the middle of the road.I helped her up.
"The dog is frightened of your big stick,"She said dragging the dog past me.
I replied,"Most car drivers are frightened of my big stick as well!"
Lots of BOINGs been given out as some cars were just driving under my stick.
At least I finished in one piece.
&
Still raining!
Back home.
Now to get ready for the meal later on.
Hubby comes back for a wet one.
Time for rain mac....
3 Mixed Grills.
(I had sweet potato fries)
&
1 Lasagne.
I was too full for dessert.
The Kids still had their desserts.

Let's find out what everyone is doing, and then stop everyone from doing it - A.P Herbert.
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice warm hug.
Brew with breakfast.
My Birthday was in the local newspaper..↓↓↓
Hubby gets ready to go to work.
He has a nice sloppy wet one before he goes.
I stop in a warm bed for a little longer.
Then it time to rise.
The thermal vest goes on once more.
Then it's time to go out for coffee and chat.
I get the newspaper on the way...
Parked up.
Then my friend and I went to the Coffee Shop.
Coffee and toast time.
We had a good yak.
Then we paid a visit to the Charity Shop.
I got some good bargains.
My friend gave me a Birthday Card, Birthday Presents and flowers.
She wished me a Happy Birthday for Monday.
Back home I go.
I put my friend's flowers on the doorstep.
Unpacked my bargains from the Charity shop.
Then I started to write yesterday's blog post up to lunchtime.
I got the breadmaker out and tried to make a bread mix of Chedder and Sun Dried Tomato.
I carried on writing my blog post.
The washing machine went on.
(Saves me doing over the weekend)
Tea at 3.
I tidied up the kitchen, ready for the delivery of the new cooker!
Oh dear there was smell of burning coming from the kitchen.
The bread has risen over the pan and some of the dough had dropped on the heated element.
Nice smell of burnt bread!
In the end of the baking programme, the bread wasn't done either!
Will try again tomorrow...
(I will have to go easy on the Yeast this time!)
Hubby came back and a sloppy wet one.
Tea is served!
Wedges with Fish Cakes and Mushies.
Yum
We write out this week's shopping list.

Friday 4 February 2022

It's Just A Matter Of Time....

Two wrongs don't make a right, but they make a good excuse - Thomas Szasz.
Welcome to my Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice big hug to start Friday with!
Brew with Breakfast.
Thermal vest goes on.
I don't have to uncover Sexy Beast.
Two Winter hats, and big big gloves goes on.
Plus it was drizzling, so the big boots went on as well!
I put on my lights.
Now to enjoy the last morning shift of the week!
Most of the car drivers stopped.
Only few had the BOINGs!
4 cars on the otherside didn't stop, only put their hands up when they went past...
They should be using their foot to stop nevermind giving me a wave!
Finished in one piece.
Now to fetch cake!
I got talking to one person for 5 minutes before I go the cake.
Then chattered with someone else for 10 minutes.
Nipped home to pick up some blue milk.
Then back out.
Picked up newspaper on the way to coffee, cake, and yak!
Arrived a bit later then I was supposed to.
Coffee on and as well as nibbles!
Thanks my friend for having me.
Now back home for some light lunch!
Some of the schools were commenting about me in their newsletters to parents.
The sun is out.
Time for those big big sunglasses to come out.

There was a good tune that came on,
A really big tune,
That went on repeat x 3.
Singing along when I go to work....↓
Only had one winter hat and lightweight gloves.
Puts on my lights.
Waits for my friends to arrive.
In the meantime, the sun is playing Peek A Boo.
Both friends arrive.
Each has a chocolate Gingerman off me.
A little bit of Rabbit...
Then we disturbed by a "Karen" who was bitching about someone blocking her car in!
Lots of shouting and stamping off feet!
I looked at her car, and remembered back to December 6th 2021....
Some car had parked so close to mine, I couldn't get in....↓
Karma does work then!
She was banging her gums because she couldn't track down the driver. I suggested he was probably in the near-by building.
She banged her car keys on the window, and demanded the car be moved...
I started humming..."I'm so Pretty!"
She drove off as soon as the car reversed.
Now to start my final shift of the week!
The low lying sun wasn't helping!
A few cars had the BOING treatment!
Finished in one piece.
Home time.
Time for a much needed Brew!
Puts the tea on.
Now to get yesterday's blog post.
Hubby came back and had a nice wet sloppy one.
Tea is served.
Yum.

It only had one piece missing 👿
While they went shopping.
