Stripping Off The Layers!

Have you ever noticed that wrong numbers are never engaged? - Steven Wright.
Welcome to my Tuesday 🏁
Big hug to start the day with \o/
Brew with Breakfast.
Thermal vest going on, as well as lots of layers.
Gives hubby a sloppy wet 💋 before I leave.
Two winter hats, and winter gloves went on.
I put on my lights.
Now to walk down the road to my spot!
I did a few BOINGS as a few car drivers were not stopping.
It was getting well warm where I was stopping.
One winter hat had to come, followed by the gloves. Even unzipped my coat, I was getting well warm!
The woman that mouthed "ARSEHOLE" at me last year, went past me, and I gave her a glare!
I finished in one piece!
I got the newspaper on the way home.
I put on the coffee machine.
Amazon sent me a deal.
Not much of a deal I thought...
Lightning Deal = £6.79
Non- Deal = £4.99
Then got changed into the Pink Lyrca, ready for some spinning on my bike.
Great film to watch while I spin.
I was getting into 10 minutes, when my phone went.
It was next door, he needed help.
I went round with my younger son.
He was sat on his portible loo and had no toilet roll nearby. Handed him some.
We were have difficulty trying to get him back to his living room.
I tried shouting his son to come downstairs to help.
Nothing.
After two hours of sorting out the neighbour, the son appeared, all dressed, and kept saying,
"I'm not his carer!"
The situation didn't help it was bring memories of my dad being in that way, only 2 years ago.
We left, as son has to get ready to go to Sixth Form.
I needed a coffee by this time.
I had to get changed out of my Pink Lyrca, and put my Spin Bike away, as I had run of time!
I warmed up the soup for lunch.
Now to go out for part two.
I put one winter hat, and some lightweight gloves, as it is still cold!
I puts on my lights.
One friend is attending a Funeral today.
My other friend, and we had a good yak!
No sign of no low lying sun!
I said goodbye to my friend.
Now to start 🍭
Most car were stopping.
One car behind me was revving his engine up.
I wasn't being hurried to cross over the road.
Finished in one piece.
Home time.
On the way home, there had been a two car smash, so I had to go around by the Household tip.
I covered up Sexy Beast.
As it was going to be cold tonight.
I checked my mail, and got another response from a Prisoner in the USA.
In fact he couldn't believe I wrote to him, and he wrote two letters to me!
I will write the reply later.
I got on making a Leek & Goat Tart for tea.
Inbetween doing that, I was trying to get yesterday's blog post wrote.
Hubby came back and had a nice wet 💋
Dished up the tart.
It was yummy.
Finished off writing my blog post.
Now to look in to today's newspaper.

Broken Wings!

"Do you think you've learned from your mistakes?"
"What mistakes?" - Leslie Caron
Welcome to my Thursday ✉
Nice warm hug to start the day with.
Brew with breakfast.
More thermal layers are going on today!
Dressed.
Gives hubby a wet sloppy 💋
Now to undercover Sexy Beast.
It is well cold.
Thermal gloves and 2 winter hats go on.
The Christmas lights have been took down.
Turned on my lights.
Now for the fun to start!
One tank went past....
I stopped one car on my side, and it was rolling towards me, by the time I got back on the pavement. A few BOINGS as they refused to stop!
It was a lot busier than yesterday, and more people to cross over and talk to!
I finished in one piece.
I moved Sexy Beast and posted my letter to my penpal on Death Row in the USA.
I got a card for the family of the lovely postman who passed away last month.
Then I picked up my newspaper on the way home.
Coffee machine went on.
Washed out the soup maker.
Loaded up the dishwasher.
Cleaned the top of the oven.
Now for that important cup of coffee.
I carried on writing my blog post from yesterday.
It was forecasting rain for this afternoon.
Time for sexy lumo trousers to come out!
Warms up homemade soup.
Sexy lumo trousers go on.
I have a chat with a good friend when I parked up my car.
She recommanded Dog Oils for aches and pains.
Made both her and her husband laugh.
Wished them well, and got ready for my shift.
Put my lights on and went to have a chat with my two friends.
When I was about to start, one friend went of to work, the other went to have a look in the Charity Shop.
Lots of people to cross over,
And lots of cars to stop as well.
No low lying sun to worry about.
No rain or snow either!
I finished in one piece.
Home Time!
My friend spent long time looking in the Charity shop.
I was going down the road on the way home, and I was walking up with his pocket full of things. I tooted him as I went past.
(I'm sure he will tell me tomorrow what he bought himself)
I covered up Sexy Beast.
Now for that special brew!
I had two Me to You Bears arrive earlier.
One was wrapped in bubble wrap and in a bag.
When I opened it up, the wings dropped out!
Time to test the super glue!
The other Me to You Bears, was wrapped in bubble wrap and came in a box.
I put tea in my son's Air Frier.
Nice easy tea tonight.
Lot of brown sauce, yum, yum.
Day off from the soup maker.
Back onto using it on Saturday lunchtime.
Once the dishwasher was loaded up...
I had a quick look into today's newspaper.

Living The High Life!

There are three things I've to do: opera, rodeo, and porno
- Bea Arthur
Welcome to the Friday Feeling 🎈
Nice warm hug and 💋 to start the Friday.
Breakfast.
Dressed.
Hubby has a day off work...
But he won't be living the high life with me,
He is cleaning his dad's kitchen, bathroom and living room.
He goes and gets the newspaper....
I put on the kettle...
First coffee of the day.
Then hubby goes off to collect some cleaning things from Dunelm then onto his dad's house.
I meanwhile got down to write yesterday's blog post.
My younger son's new matress arrived for his bed↓↓
They drag the old mattress outside in the back garden.
I will have to pay the Council £18 to take it away next week....
The sun might be out,
but it ain't half cold in this house!
I had to drop off son at his job.
(For doing all this running about, he was paying for the coffee!)
Out comes the big ones..
Gets 1 mocha, and 2 hot chocolates.
I drop off son and comes back home.
Only for the lid of my mocha to come off,
The mocha leaks into the bag,
I just get the bag out of the car before it pours out everywhere out of the car!
Just enough to drink...↓
Once I tied the pom poms I made yesterday to my pom pom wreath.
I got down to make some more.
I now have another job interview tomorrow \o/
Tea at 3.
I had to drop off younger son to help with delivering leaflets..
Big big sunglasses went on again..
It didn't help a BMW nearly took out my driver's side after trying to pull out of a side road.
Didn't I half give him a look for that!
Trying to find somewhere to park to drop my son off safely was another ball ache!
Waited, and waited for a parking space...
Finally got one!
Back home...
Hubby has spent 8 hours cleaning his dad's house.....
(It took me 6 hours to clean my dad's house when he was alive, and all I got off my dad was:
"You haven't hoovered the stairs!"
Which I replied to:"What did your last slave die of? Oh yes, she is six foot under!")
Hubby was getting takeaway Indian meals for us on the way home...
While I was waiting,
I looked in today's newspaper:
Sir Peter  Ustinov was an English actor, writer, and filmmaker. He was a fixture on television talk shows and lecture circuits for much of his career. An intellectual and diplomat, he held various academic posts and served as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and president of the World Federalist Movement.
Ustinov was the winner of numerous awards during his life, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTA Awards for acting, and a Grammy Award for best recording for children, as well as the recipient of governmental honours from, amongst others, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He also displayed a unique cultural versatility which frequently earned him the accolade of a Renaissance man. Miklós Rózsa, composer of the music for Quo Vadis and of numerous concert works, dedicated his "String Quartet No. 1, Op. 22" (1950) to Ustinov
He would have been a 100 years old today🎈
He sadly died aged 82 in 2004

Bobby Vinton  is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. As a teen idol, he became known as 'The Polish Prince', as his music paid tribute to his Polish heritage. One of his most popular songs is "Blue Velvet" (a cover of the 1951 song recorded by Tony Bennett) which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963 and No. 2 in the UK in 1990.
He is 86 years old.
Mary  O'Brien OBE, professionally known as Dusty Springfield, was a British singer and record producer whose career extended from the late 1950s to the 1990s. With her distinctive mezzo-soprano sound, she was a significant singer of blue-eyed soul, pop and dramatic ballads, with French chanson, country and jazz also in her repertoire. During her 1960s peak she ranked among the most successful British female performers on both sides of the Atlantic and her image – marked by a peroxide blonde bouffant/beehive hairstyle, heavy makeup (thick black eyeliner and eye shadow) and evening gowns, as well as stylised, gestural performances – made her an icon of the Swinging Sixties. She is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame. International polls have cited Springfield as one of the finest female popular singers of all time.
She would have been 82 years old 🎈
She sadly died aged 59 in 1999.
